One of the two 26' trucks we rented leaked water onto my belongings during a rainstorm we were driving through. Even though we had the SafeMove insurance coverage and many of our items were water damaged (our light green favorite couch and loveseat have huge rust colored stains on them for example), the insurance company used by U-Haul (RepWest) refuses to allow a claim. The furniture, rugs, bedding, electronics, photos and artwork that were damaged or ruined will not be replaced or fixed. I spent over $6k to rent the two trucks and at least $3k more for enough boxes to fill those trucks and I expect not to have my property soaked, damaged and ruined. Plus of course now needing to disposed of a large amount of stuff in an unfamiliar city. Funny, as I had specifically asked if the trucks protected the contents from rain before I rented them, otherwise I was planning to cover everything with plastic. In addition, one truck had 3 different warning lights come on (resulting in the truck unable to turn on the cruise control feature for most of the drive), with the check engine light the most troubling. Not sure why those came on but having your truck start telling you it needs immediate fixing when you're driving in the middle of nowhere only adds unnecessary stress. Never renting from U-Haul again.

Chris SWill probably not use U-Haul again. Rented a 2 axle trailer and when I arrived to pick up, only had 3 tires on it. Had to wait while they found equipment to fix it. They also said they did not carry the dolly and blankets I ordered. Lastly , the right hand side turn signal light did not work. Bad experience.
Chris HI had ordered a U-Haul and I wanted the person to be there and it was supposed to. They sent me somewhere else or I had to do it online. It took me an hour and a half half I wasn’t happy.
Patricia CFirst of all, my pickup location was 1.5 miles from my current address (Monrovia, MD). When I made the reservation, the website did not inform me that the truck was not available at that location. So around 0840 in the morning I received a message stating that my new pickup location had change and now was farther away not only from my current address, but also from the address of my old property. This issue resulted in spending more money than expected due to the last-minute change. That is not a good business practice and feels shady. Second, the app pickup and drop-off are horrible. We spent, and waisted 45 minutes trying to get the truck. Multiple calls to confirm who I was were too much. My wife was next to me when they called her to verify who I was, and still they wanted a second contact number. The for the drop-off you ask for pictures. Another waste of time. When you leave a truck during work hours, you just leave the keys, they give you the paperwork, and you're done. No pictures or looking at the truck at all. Ridiculous process. In total, at least one hour lost with these inconveniences. I will try another company next time.

BOUBACAR DEverything was great, however the drivers seat was literally falling apart and it had a slight smell of cigs. Other than that everything was great.
Michael CIf the pickup location and drop off location are changed, then change the mileage allowance. I traveled exactly where I entered from moving address to new address and still got charged for mileage.
Tyler SLocation is ok, the truck was not full of gas. When i returned it I filled it up extra $16 that I didn't need to do. The whole online check it took me 35 mins to complete, is a lot of time just to pick up the truck.

Richard PMy pick up date was a Sunday and Evergreen was closed. When I picked up the truck I had trouble using the U-Haul website uploading photos. I am partially tech saavy. The hold time for Uhaul was 45 minutes and the chat provided assistance for phone settings but did not resolve my issue. I downloaded the APP and was successful. I spent 1 hour. At return, the APP kept closing and the website didn't work either because I am not familiar with proper settings for photos. Hold time was 45 minutes and chat was 15 minute wait. Finally figured out on my own the proper setting for the website photos to work. I deleted and installed the APP 3 times but it kept closing or directing me to leave the APP to the website. Spent 1 hour in an industrial park, in the evening, nobody around, alone. I am a 62 year old female. 24/7 customer's should get priority status when phoning especially when the facility is closed. I only needed a truck for 1 day so adding an additional $19.95 for another day when facility was open was not an option

Yao YThere was a lot of pet hair on the seats in the van. If I was allergic, it would have been an issue. I also requested and paid for a furniture dolly that wasn't in the van at pickup, requiring me to go inside (which is what customers are trying to avoid when selecting to check in on their phone). Unfortunately they didn't have the requested item and didn't know how to adjust my reservation to remove the charge for the dolly. The staff that were on site were very friendly and assured me that they would make sure the appropriate person would be informed that I needed to receive a credit for the unavailable item. Otherwise, it was a fairly simple process to rent, pick up, pay for, and drop off the van. A simple check if equipment is available and a notification to the renter would have avoided my issues, making it a seamless process

HESTON BWe had issues receiving our key. Because of this our movers went to another job and then told us they would come back to help move. They told us at 11:00pm that they were an hour away. By this time we had already loaded the truck without them. Now we are having difficulty getting a refund from moving company. Uhaul should help since they are affiliated with this service. I have used Uhaul many times and this is the worst service I have ever experienced. Is it worth all of the negative social media to take $245 from someone? Terrible.

Paul BBoth Driver/Passenger Door is not in good condition . We need to slam the door so that we will not get "Door Open" error message in the display . It was frustrating and misleading . Also Key also needs maintenance . We need to use certain angle to start the vehicle .

Kevin MEver Green Service Center Overall I must say I am a little unsatisfied with the service provided under this contract. I rented/returned the truck with a little over half a tank of gas. Upon final review of the receipt, I see that I was charged 4 gallons of gasoline for a total of $19.00, which seems excessive. I requested a refund for the unauthorized charge of $19.00 to my Visa Card, but received no response. Another factor that has lead to disappointment, is the wait time required to rent the vehicle. I was forced to wait a whole hour to rent a vehicle that was on the premises. I even purchased the $14.00 safe move coverage to help avoid minor issues such as this.
