Vehicle was leaking power steering fluid from the start. U-Haul sent one mechanic who misdiagnosed the problem. U-Haul then sent a second mechanic who claimed to have fixed the leaking power steering system. However, partway through my 400+ mile drive, the power steering system failed completely. And it leaked power steering fluid all over the front brakes so now a fully loaded 20-ft moving truck with no power steering, also has brakes so compromised, I had to be towed to my final destination. Then U-Haul has the audacity to charge me an extra day and a refueling fee when they had to tow the vehicle back after I had unloaded. Could not be more furious.

Quick pickup and drop off!
Sharon HI rented a cargo van to pick up cupboards from a warehouse. The van was clean and was completely acceptable. The rental process went without a hitch ... the whole thing took me less than 10 minutes at the counter. Excellent service!

I put about $40 of gas in the tank, but the gas gauge did not move. I explained this to the representative and he was very understanding and helpful.

Driver side windshield wiper during torrential rains, did not work and passenger side mirror did not stay in place and had to be adjusted multiple times. Tell the guy at the counter , didn't seem to care much. Been using you haul for 30 years. Probably won't next time!
AltaGracia SI've been renting from you for better part of 30 years. I have rented from you at least 20 times during the 30 year time frame. Never have I been offered a discount. In fact this time around you guys asked me to do you a favor and bring you up a trailer from New Mexico. My time my gas but was told you never give discounts. I was offered an extra day and an extra hundred miles, which I do not need and is pointless. This time my truck was also nonfunctional in the way of windshield wipers and mirrors not working. Which made it extremely difficult being that I was the only person in the vehicle and could not see out of my passenger side window because of it drifting in the wind and driving. Having to stop multiple times to adjust the mirror and order to see. All this during torrential rains, and my driver's side windshield wiper did not work and tried to fly also. Would I do this again for you guys? Absolutely not, not worth my time with no incentive that is usable 👎 A discount on this trip would've been most appropriate. I'll be using a different service next time. I'm done with you guy!

Daniel EA/C was working intermittently. Also, Mileage charge at $1.39 mile is to high for our current economy. The staff were awesome to work with! Very helpful and quick during the check in/Out process. I would use them again for sure.

MONTE KWhen I called to ask the recommended height for the hitch ball, they didn't know. They told me they would need to eyeball it and figure it out when I arrived, recommding I bring multiple attachments.I was trying to determine which hitch attachment to install on my vehicle to match the height the ball needed to be... I was able to find it online eventually.

BRADFORD CThis location was excellent. In the future for customers looking to rent at any location, don’t allow customers to put a pickup time in before the business actually opens. I had this issue and I had a 7:30 a.m pickup time at another location and business opened at 9.
WAYNE GBetter equipment, please. I was given a rebuilt unit for a 1,800 mile move that had a mix of old and new features and was definitely not clean upon delivery. Inoperative marker light, random nuts and bolts found inside the unit. Do better U-Haul.
