JIM HOnly one person working and had two customers at same time. So he couldn't leave store and come outside and go over the truck with us. Another general note about Uhaul is that we needed to rent two trucks and I was told I'd have to drive to two separate locations 20 miles apart to get them. The solution was they found the two trucks I needed in a location 30 miles away from our storage unit. What the heck?

JOHN AStaff at this location was incredibly helpful and made certain all my questions were answered. And worked diligently to resolve a computer issue by contacting U-Haul support via phone. Absolutely felt well taken care of.

ESTHER BWhen I got to location the lady started yelling at me as I was following the U-Haul Direction on my phone. She said “I tell you where to drop it” she kept having attitude and being rude. I try to talk to her and she would not have it. I felt horrible and had to walk away because she wanted to argue about things. I was by myself and I couldn't remove trailer from hitch because it was heavy. I ask her for a jack like they did it at pickup location and she gave me attitude because other customers have pickup in past on there on and leave. I told her I couldn't do it by myself. She eventually brought me a jack after waiting for a while. It was a horrible experience dropping equipment off. I have another trailer to drop off in Tuesday hopefully that goes better.

RAY SI WILL NEVER BOOK UHAUL ONLINE AGAIN! I booked for pickup at the Southport location and it was confirmed. When I arrived at the location I was told the booking only confirms a unit is available in the area. It cost us two hours having to drive to Bolivia. I don't blame the people at the pickup locations. I blame UHaul for a shoddy app that does not give correct information. A lot of hassle could have been avoided if I had known the reservation had been moved.
MICHAEL HLet customers know there are not tongue jacks or blocks with the trailers. You have to use a 2x4 to lift it up and it sits on the ground.

RICHARD RIt’s ridiculous how many local uhaul stores refuse to accept trucks and/or trailers for drop off. My last experience required me to drive 30 minutes both ways when a uhaul location was minutes away. Second one was 15 minutes away. Neither would accept my trailer. Customers should not have to call around just to find a drop spot.

KATELYN MWe had issues with self checking, early checkin. Could not upl9ad photos of cab or inside of truck or overall exterior.. Only photo we think got uploaded was odometer and fuel gage. We attempted multiple times but it never worked properly online. I picked up truck in Charlotte at approximately 7;10 am and it was still dark. Left review informing that passenger window was open when I got in and rain had soaked cab abd dash the night before. Also never got walk around of vehicle with any mentions of fuel level, mileage, pre-damagescetc. But know we took good care of it, referred and tracked mileage, etc.

DAVID HNothing. Everything went as planned. Made my reservation online and picked up the truck the same day.
Matthew TWas greeted by a rude clerk as I was returning the vehicle. I was driving a 26 truck with a vehicle transporter and was not experienced in performing parking maneuvers. Yet the clerk insisted I move the truck. She said " I don't have time for this today" She was disrespectful and we both had words. I told her to F Off and went about un hooking the trailer. I am fairly certain the bill was "padded" but I did not feel safe enough to argue with these people about the charges. 3 of them, one of me. Hopefully I will be able to contact UHaul to verify the charges.

Fran RI don’t know if you want my reservation where you are. I was trying to charge me for two days. Because I picked it up 20 minutes early but the customer service rep at the pick up place went above and beyond to find out why. Did not hold me up made phone calls and then contacted me to explain what was going on. Was a great experience.

JAMIE BOperator at the time, a woman, refused to remove the rental trailer my wife's vehicle stating, "that's not my job". After struggling unsuccessfully for nearly one hour my wife told the person she was going home to get a jack to lift the trailer from her vehicle. Now the person tells my wife "you can't, I already checked in the trailer". Then adds "you can use the Uhaul jack", produces it and walks away. Eventually my wife was able to remove the trailer. In addition we were advised that the 4 day rental ran from 9am Sept. 9 to 9am Sept. 13, 4 days. My wife arrived at the drop-off at 9am on Sept 13 but the operator charged her for an additional day. This was a terrible and inexcusable experience and will impact our decision making regarding future rentals from Uhaul and in the now unlikely event that we will ever use Uhaul it most certainly will not be from this location.

Scott BVery nice and helpful. The checkout process could be a little easier on your end. The lady that was helping me had not done check out much and it was not very user friendly for her. I am not saying anything bad about her, she was doing everything she could, and was very helpful, but it looked like the computer check out could be a little easier on her end.

Daneil SFelt that I was over charged when item was returned. The facility charged me for two extra days when in fact it should have been only for one day. Disappointing to say the least. I did not have the rental for 4days period.

Jose AHe said as helpf as he could be for that small drop off location. He owns the store next door I’m pretty sure an wasn’t very trained in drop off location. Need a bit more experience on that but it was a drop off location for us. My husband thought that was where we had to drop it but by then we were closer to the hwy 17 drop off bit we went to other locations. He learned that it could be dropped at any drop off closes to where we were at at the storage locker.

john MThe men in the store were friendly and helpful but this location was so desolate (not the guy's fault). I was trapped there for hours as the town was tiny with virtually no services. No Uber, no Lyft, no local taxi. I searched for hours before I was able to find a very expensive cash only taxi to get home. There should be some kind of notificaion about this ahead of time warning customers that they should plan ahead if they need a ride home.
LAURIE SExtra Hands went above and beyond to make our rental experience quick and easy. She notified us well in advance that the truck was available, had all of our extras ready to go, and (because we did online check in) got us in and out in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend them!
Charles BLocations were great, but by uhaul telling me where I had to return the vehicle cost me an additional 17$. My total estimated pay was calculated from the pickup, to my end location. However I was told by uhaul I had to return the truck to a uhaul dealer 15 miles away, even though there was a uhaul place 1.5 miles from my new house. So I had to spend an additional 20-25 minutes round trip to drop the truck off, then was charged the additional mileage I didn’t have a choice to drive, and was not part of my move. Pretty shitty to charge a customer additional fees to do you a favor and not even be able to return the truck to the closest location. If a customer must return to a location. That it not the closest one to where their end point is that they paid for, then the return commute should be deducted from the extra fees charged for additional miles.
