I spoke with folks on the phone that were cordial, professional, and easy to speak with. They were very clear and greatly assisted in making the process go smoothly. I do think that the gas station could have better lighting.. If i was there alone, I don’t think I would have wanted to leave the truck. It is very important that I also mention that a gentleman exited the inside of the gas station store to tell me that he was the owner of the facility and insisted that I give him the key to the truck instead of putting the key in the lock box as instructed.. I was startled and found this to be very disturbing. I totally appreciate the clear instructionsa provided to me via the U-Haul app and customer service team. If I had not had clarity, I may have handed those keys over. It is very important that Exxon staff not approach customers parking those trucks, especially in the dark. Perhaps the question “…clean and inviting?” should not be one question. Because I thought the facility was clean, but not necessarily inviting because of the intruding Exxon employee or owner as he said.
