I am surprised that U-Haul contracts with this location. 1. Very difficult to find the location 2. Disorganized when I arrived 3. Didn’t have moving blankets which where on the order 4. Reluctantly, connected the trailer Overall and very poor experience.
DAVID KWe were forced to this location because of the horrible affiliate location booking. I booked a month and a half in advance, and only get notice 12 hours beforehand that I have to schedule a pickup somewhere else, and this was the only option. They gave us a truck FULL of drywall dust that took an hour to clean. We also didn’t get blankets or a dolly, as requested a month and a half ago. DO NOT USE AFFILIATE LOCATIONS.
Alexander HI got rerouted to this location which was way farther from where I was. There was broken glass in the trailer I had to sweep and clean out. Did not have moving pads. I was severely disappointed with this whole rental!
Vincent GI was called the day before and told I had to head to this location. This location seemed less organized than I would expect. It was also in a tucked away location far away from where I lived.

Daniel HFor starters, the site is so very unsafe in my personal opinion. If I had been by myself I never would've stood out there in the open. And the process to do this rental needs some improving.... No shelter tho Block you from any of the elements. Because that whole log into the website and answer all of the questions in the cold and wind made that whole process even unbearable. If I had to do it again at that location I would have to take a pass and go some where else, or even a different rental company.

SALBADOR BMy issue was not with the actual location, but more with the reservation! I reserved a trailer 2 months ago and when I went to get it, they didn’t have one. I had to drive an hour each way to pick up the only trailer in the Chicago area. Between the hour and a half on the phone to make sure the trailer was there and driving to get it, you killed half my day and I incurred tolls that I shouldn’t have had to. Your transportation needs to get it together!!!

Darryl CThe truck was blocked in by a van in front and a trailer behind. Because it was after hours I had to move the car carry trailer by hand both given the weight and that it was also between two trucks moving it was difficult. This are was also in a neighborhood with relatively thin streets which is not ideal for trucks.
Thomas TBiggest problem was that I was told to use the uhaul.com/share app to return the truck because no one was going to be onsite after 3:00 but the app didn't work and when I reported it to your customer service I was told that they were still going to charge me a $20 fee.

Robert Bpros: employees very kind and welcoming. cons: unclear where to go to speak with someone, employee rushed through inspection of equipment prior to departure. need to make sure that the customer is encouraged to look over every square inch of the equipment as the customer will ultimately be liable for any undocumented damage.

James SMy contract was not explained to me. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes giving information so that the merchant could fill out information I had already submitted through the reservation. He then was unable to locate the drop destination I had requested and submitted a destination that was extremely far way form my move, which meat I had to spend time on my moving day correcting that mistake. It seemed very unorganized.
JP NI was redirected to this location, as I was told my first choice had space limitations and couldn't receive my returned trailer. This place was quite a bit further and with driving in Chicago, was not very convenient.

john wPlease make sure all indicators are RESET after maintenance so NO WARNING LIGHTS are ON. ~ 2 indicator lights remained on the truck I rented. I was assured that nothing was wrong with my rental truck. **John Batista** is an EXCELLENT UHAUL CUSTOMER SERVICE / MAINTENANCE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE!

Alexandra CI brought the trailer back at 4:50PM on August 13th. They told me to just park it over there. I asked for a receipt but the guy said it was okay and left. They did not help me unhitch it. It was heavy and I struggled lifting off the trailer off the hitch. I did manage to do it though. I checked into the office again asking for a receipt and another guy came to the window but he just said "no it was okay..no it was okay". So I left but I was very suspicious and felt like maybe I was being conned. It did not leave a good impression. I see the emailed receipt I received this afternoon says it was returned 9:40AM on August 14th. That is not true - see above.

DANIEL Honly problem was i reserved a bigger truck online a week in advance the day before my move i received a call saying they didn't have this truck so i had to downsize.. if you don't have the truck your website shouldn't let you reserve it.. other than that everything was great.
GENARO RInteresting, the guys at the Uhaul in Califirnia asked if i removed the trailer. I had not. Reading between the lines, I would say the safety may not have been correct? but the trailer was ok.

Britt AThese people asked me if I knew how to hitch the trailer to my truck and I had to hitch it and unhitch it myself in the rain. I've rented dozens of trailers and NEVER have I had to lift a finger. This was terrible.
George OWebsite said open at 8am on Saturday. I was there at 7:55 to be first in line for my 8am reservation... I had made moving arrangements based on this time schedule. Nobody was there at 8. Other employees started to straggle in around 8:15 and said they couldn't get in the building until the manager arrived, who usually doesn't show until 8:30. We all waited outside until about 8:50. Apparently the manager overslept.

James GUhaul app did not work properly. I did not receive the key code information on the app and had to call customer service to receive the lock box information. This resulted in a 30 minute delay in the moving process....
Mohammed AToo bad I cant give zero .I went to pick up the truck and it wasnt there.i called 800 number and was listing to music for 45 minutes when another customer told me to call the location number., Someone answered and tried to rent me another truck since Uhaul forgot to put the truck out.Only problem was,that truck was blocked in.. We will move it!1! ha 1 1/2 hours later they send me to another location with a new order. I get there and they cant apply the new order to the truck rental . Call Rick regional manger couldnt get it to work .finally 2 1/2 hours later corporate office was able to get the truck released. Rick oromised to wrk it out of course he hasnt called back .even though its qalarge company they operate below 3rd rate look elsewhere or you could into a similar gigantic headache ..

Walter HStaff seemed unprepared/confused about my reservation. One of the hand trucks I reserved was not available. "Industrious Movers" - the moving company that I booked through U-Haul cancelled with no warning/explanation. Disappointing experience overall.
Steven Ethe pick up location was an hour away from home, the wrong way from our trips direction. the location did not appear safe for my daughter and wife to pick up
sean gThe truck was not available at the original location and I was expected to call the 1-800 number myself to find a different truck at a different location that morning. I spent over 20 mins. on hold waiting to make a new reservation. And the truck size that I wanted was not available. Very frustrating. I would have expected the customer service person at the location that did not have the reserved truck to provide more support in locating an alternative vehicle.

Annelise FThe rental person at this location is very unprofessional. First he wanted to charge a double amount for the gas used and not give us a receipt. When we demanded a receipt he flashed one very quickly on his phone and said he would send a receipt. Again after an argument for the receipt we saw he was going to charge double for the gas. After more arguing he lowered the price for the gas and gave us a receipt. This person is giving you a bad name. I already have told people to NEVER go there.

Paul NPlease give more than a 3 hours notice next time when changing someone's pickup location. I was given a guarantee on my original location and being told 2 hours before that my pickup would be an additional 5 miles away wasn't a great way to start. I didn't really have the time to look into other options and was given no reimbursement options for the additional 10 miles I had to travel.

arturo fThe employee at the pick up location was excellent - friendly and professional and on-time for our early pick up. My complaint is with UHaul having changed the pick up location at the last minute, sending us to a different location quite a bit farther away than the requested pick up location - 3 or 4 miles might seem like a small distance in many places but in Chicago, with Monday morning rush hour traffic, 3-4 miles can be a big deal. The change was not appreciated. Also, it was not clearly stated in the confirmation that there would be tax on top of the charged amount - I saw that the confirmation page said "this is the amount you will pay at pickup" which was correct except that tax was added. That felt like a bait and switch. So, the service at the pickup location was very good, but dealing with UHaul in general was not a positive experience for these two reasons and future customers should just be aware that these changes happen.

Walter HThe worker was a half an hour late because he overslept. There was line of people waiting for their trucks. We weren’t even supposed to be at that location. We booked our truck a month in advanced and then at 5pm the day before we move I get a voicemail saying that they actually don’t have a truck for us. It was extremely inconvenient and started our moving day out to a rough start. We had to return the van to that specific location- which wasted so much gas. It is extremely unfair to tell customers the night before their early morning move that they have to drive several more miles to get a van. We were not happy.
