***This review is for my U-Haul experience not the individual store. *** Note that after the whole debacle I was given the option of submitting a Customer Action request. After my drop off I got an email stating the only thing they would offer me is $50 for my inconvenience. Below is my reply to them. Wow! That is incredibly insufficient and unacceptable for what your company put me through yesterday!!! I had 9 helpers waiting for almost 4 hours in the morning until I finally got a truck! Your scheduling department changed my reservation to a new location that didn't offer 24 seven pick up the night before I was to get my truck at 7 AM the following morning. Then for the next 3 1/2 hours you're scheduling department sent me on a goose chase making four different trips before I ended up with the truck that I had rented. Not only all of that but because of your delay in getting me a truck I was not able to move everything that I needed to move and so now I will have to hire a moving company and will probably need to pay $1000 or more for this move. as I said a $50 compensation is incredibly insufficient.AVERYLEE D.

I explained the fuel problem on checking the truck in. I received a lecture on contracts from the proprietor which was unhelpful. 1800GO UHAUL claims they are customer service and can't help with fuel issues. Why doesn't uhaul fill the tank prior to rentals? Very poor customer service. I lost an extra $65 because of this.STACY G.
Everyone was accommodating nice and friendly let me sit in the truck choosing the size explaining how stuff works and we're located it was a very good experience I have not rented a truck in a long time and drop off was great just drop the keys in the box and go thanks I will definitely use this location again very pleasant experience have a wonderful day.LINDA W.
The truck had a blow out in one of the rear tires on I-16 just west of Savannah Ga. I limped to an exit and I tried to contact Uhaul. It was Friday night about 6 pm. They indicated the wait on the phone would be long and to use the website. I tried and even got a code from Uhaul but still could not contact anyone. I then called AAA. They answered the phone in about 3 minutes and have a simple and EXCELLENT system. However, they do not service Uhaul. I tried Uhaul again. No luck. I emailed Uhaul at 5:44 PM. No response. I gave up and limped the remaining distance at about 40 miles per hour to get to Bluffton SC. I looked the next day and I had gotten an email from uhaul at 10:18 PM or approximately 4.5 hours after the intial email. That service is horrible. How is it that AAA can pick up a phone in 3 minutes and Uhaul forces you through a difficult website and sends an email 4.5 hours later. The attendants at this location are slightly snarky and rude. I asked to add an authorized user to my reservation since I only listed myself as the primary driver and the attendant responded is he over 18? Does he have a drivers license? Then, it's fine. A simple no, you don't have to add an authorized driver would've sufficed. I've had better experiences at other locations.Felicia B.

The whole stag was extra helpful and willing to go above and beyond. The manager went the extra mile and even made accommodations for me that were probably impossible. Everyone had the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. For now on I will drive the extra miles to come back to this location and tell everyone I know to do the same. the truck was not cleaned. Tons of dead bugs on bumper and windshield. The inside of the truck was not wiped from dust and the truck cargo area was not swept. I rent from this location multiple times, let alone, within a week, and for the 1st time, they provided me a rental with not the correct mileage out and not the correct gas that was stated. So I had to pay for someone's gas and mileage Bc the person couldn't enter the correct amounts. There's no way I would she traveled that far that was stated.Randy M.

The guy with the short afro is not a professional/does not have the skillset, for my $29 rental he processed over $400 in pending charges on my credit card, he does not understand cleanliness, he clearly does not want to answer any questions, certainly doesn't know that if he does not have customers he will not have a job, he has a very bad attitude and creates a very dumb experience. The television was too loud in the check in area and I had difficulty communicating with the staff. It seems that the check in area is managed for the benefit of the staff and not for the customer. Otherwise the people were very helpful and efficient.STEPHEN G.

The lot was dirty and crowded. The customer service was almost non-existent. The employee walked out without saying anything. I tracked him down outside and he told me he knew I was there. I asked him where I should drop the trailer and he was dismissive. When he did get to me he took my truck keys and moved the trailer. When he was done he walked away. Another employee unhooked the trailer and said "You're good to go, Boss". I asked him if I needed a receipt or inspection and he briskly walked away. There was no inspection of the trailer. I didn't get a confirmation that the trailer had been received satisfactorily and called U-haul two days later. Your representative apparently called the location and they told her to tell me that they would check it in and send me an email. I did receive an email receipt later that showed the drop-off time to be two or three days later than when I actually dropped it off.Barry H.

The location was very run down. Also they are overstating the current gas levels on the trucks at pickup in order to make the customers have to buy more than they should. I didn't notice this until after I put some in to return it. Completely unacceptable and will not be using this location again. Not offer moving help requests on the Uhal website that actually aren't available. I have used Uhal a million times and I have never had an issue. the truck and the furniture pads were what I expected. The main person that I worked with was able to answer my questions and to let me know what to expect on my return and expect for charges. However.....The customer service from an employee was very inappropriate. There was a miscommunication with an employee in regards to him trying to move a truck in the Parking lot and the driver of my personal vehicle who was on the phone waiting for me to receive the rental. The employee came up to my personal vehicle and and questioned my driver with my kids in the car had a temper and just short tempered way. He didn't seem too bothered by the way he approached my driver and even inside I was still unphased. His customers service is very poor and needs to be trained on how to address people.MARISSA M.

I received a truck with a break light out, when I went inside to report it, the manager acted as though I was causing him an inconvenience. When it was time to connect my auto-transport and vehicle, the manager on site caused an accident and damaged my vehicle undercarriage and bumper on the Auto-transport. He assured me that was BAU and that everything would be fine. He did not communicate that the loading of the vehicle was not a service that U-Haul does not provide and was done only by the independent store. Absolutely no transparency, just took my card over the phone. My car got stuck trying to get off the auto transport. The attendees/staff were great but the manager should be corrected, vehicle repaired, and then compensated for the delay in movers that I had to push back.TROY W.

The lot is small so it could be difficult for customers using the larger trucks to park. Personnel was helpful, but the fact that the auto transports are in a another nearby location shows that the lot itself is small. The current setup they have is adequate for most customers; as long they have someone to guide them. Auto transport had a drink can left on it.HEYUNG O.

I was told the tire air on the Auto Transport was very low. It was filled but I was told that it may need to be replaced if it went low again. Why do I need to worry about this? I felt the tire should have been replaced and not put on the customer to be potentially stuck on the side of the road on a long distance one-way move.Rolanda H.

The U-Haul equipment was not smooth at all in driving. The acceleration was so hard and at slope, it was so hard that I was scared that truck might break down in between the road. The Ezmission location looked like a garage. People were friendly but they didn't take time to explain the truck scratches, mileage, emergency, other driving maneuvers. They just handed the keys and showed the truck from far and the guy left.Nirav P.
