Not impressed.

Michelle mIt would have been helpful to have confirmation of the drop off at the time of drop off. The attendant did not come out to see the trailer when we dropped off so my wife worried.
Darrell KI'd only recommend it because of its location. When we reserved, the latest time slot I could reserve was 2:45. It was nearly 4:30 before we could leave with the trailer because the boss needed to come in to finish the paperwork, but the gas station attendant could not contact him.

Dan PI had to drive 3.5 hours, on a completely different than my reservation to pickup this truck. My experience with uhaul was not good. You should not recieve a “reservation confirmation” if you do not do confirmed reservations. The amount of stress it caused me to get a phone call a few days before moving across the country telling me there’s no truck for me, was insane. I had to take a day off work, costing me lots of money, pay my friend to drive me 3.5 hours to dauphin, and use a full tank of gas in the uhaul to drive back.
Sara NHad the worst experience with any company to date. From having to drive an additional 8 hours to pick the uhaul even tho reserver it in my city, but few days before move date they changed evrything for me. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I couldn't drop off my truck at the doctor I had originally chosen when booking l so they sent me to to another location. Once I arrived they said they didn't have space and sent me to a different location once again. Wasted my time and my money and this horrible experience. Will not be recommending anytime
Julian GMy method of payment was not clearly stated to the worker who thought I paid with debit. It’s not his fault I know, but still super frustrating. Also store looks kind of sketchy and uninviting.

Rachael MOriginally booked in Swan River, day before pickup checked on availability and was told because of a flat tire the trailer was out of service. Gad to travel to Dauphin, 1.5 hour drive to get a larger trailer than actually needed, agent was hood but trailer was not swiped out.

Shawn WGet a dealer who cleans his store, actually comes outside to help return the trailer IE help a disabled retiree disconnect and push the trailers to their spot in the yard. This resulted in uhaul calling me to ask why I hadn’t returned the trailer, which I had done three days previously

David BHe badgered us. We were to have rental back at 5pm and they called repeatedly starting at noon. "I need this back now"! Then when we got there swore at us grabbed the keys. We put in gas at 3/8 of a tank when we picked it up that what was told to us. Drop off with what was picked up with . Went in the truck and revved it as to burn it up. Then took our pictures. Swore again then gave us nothing to sign. An hour later, a charge of $430 was added to our credit card WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION FOR FUEL from fasgas, not even UHAUL. He went and filled up using our Credit card after the applicable amount was supposed to be put in. Truthfully i think he was using it for his own personal use. His own moving company. I don't even know if he works at uhaul or fasgas now. Maybe he was the fasgas owners friend?

Glen KPulled up and two out of the 3 regular pumps were busted off. Most of the windows in the location were boarded up so personnel couldn't even see me when I pulled up. Attendant was very nice and I showed him the repair I had to make and that the truck needed to go to a mechanic for inspection before being deemed road worthy. He told me he would tell his boss. Then was told to park vehicle behind the gas station. Nobody checked this vehicle with me at time of pickup, or time of drop off???

LEANN JStore frontage could use some glass in the front door. I have some vision issues but I thought the building was possibly closed as the top half of the door was covered by plywood. I asked the attendant if they had been broken into recently and he stated that it’s been like that for a few years. Attendant was very friendly but this issue lies elsewhere.
James WThe vehicle was very dirty. Sticky drinks and garbage in vehicle. Attendant was knowledgeable but zero care between rentals it seemed.
chelsea othe assigned unit was snowed & iced in.......the next unit had no safety chain.......i dug out a third unit myself,it was filled with snow & i had to fix the electrical attachment........the agent was totally clueless......that said the unit had new tires & towed well

ALJAY CMy reservation was made to be picked up at 8 am at the Uhaul business which is Fas Gas Dauphin, MB. There business sign said opened at 8am along with their website. I got there and they were not open, we waited and called as their open sign was on but no one was there. We finally were able to pick up the trailer after 8:30 which delayed us 3 hours. I am very disappointed with the service I recieved and the worker argued with us about the pick up time and never once apologized. I will no longer do any business with this location again.
Loretta MThere was almost no interaction with the staff at the drop off location. The unit was not checked while I was there and there was no paperwork issued to confirm that I had returned the unit on time as expected. I could have dropped the unit and driven away and no one would have been the wiser.

Derek MThe truck wasn’t washed the front right side turn signal was busted off the hood, the rust on the bolts indicated it was like this for a while, the 4 pin trailer light plug wasn’t working, sent me to Canadian tire to buy a 7 to 4 pin adapter, didn’t have any of the moving supplies I ordered on line or the appliance dolly. I was constantly flashed by oncoming traffic, high beams, because the headlights weren’t aimed properly. Other than that it got me to my location without breaking down.
Charles BI put my order in over a month before pickup for 3 mattress covers, a dolly, and 2 dozen packing blankets and there was absolutely nothing there for me. I inquired about all of the items I pre ordered and thank god I got a trolly but what the hell happened to everything else I ordered? I had to search many of my packed up boxes to find sheets and blankets to cover my furniture and buy a large roll of plastic to make sure all my mattresses were covered. I am not impressed by this at all! It cost me my time to hunt things down and more money to get plastic to cover the floor and my mattress!
Laura HThe gentleman running the location was very nice, and I in no way mean for this to reflect poorly on him. He explained that the circumstances behind my dissatisfaction were out of his control. The truck was filthy, had no gas, and reeked of cigarettes. The last users reportedly ditched it in that condition, and as I picked it up at 8am, there was no time to clean it. I had to clean out the cigarette butts of the previous user, who had left the truck on empty and not cleaned it. Overall I was quite disappointed. I know the gentleman at the store is not at fault, and there likely isn't much demand in Dauphin (as evidenced by limited truck selection) meaning no other truck was available, just sucks to be in that situation.
Adam KCustomer service promised me an extra day of rental and an extra free 100kms due to the fact that the truck I had reserved online and had been assured would be available was not available at the original pick up location on Regent in Winnipeg. Another truck was found in Steinbach but I was still charged for the extra km used. I was also charged an extra $75 for some unknown reasom.
Scott WIt should be on time all set an ready otherwise let us know for any delay you should informed us. we booked the U-haul 10:30 am because that's the time that we need it. When we went there the exact time and we we told that they are nor sure with the time. And they will just call us, wherein they call us 1:15 pm we are late in everything that we did which added us more additional expenses. its really a frustration.
Giovanni cThis review has nothing to do with Fas Gas or Discount Tire. I would like to comment on the very poor reservation system of Uhaul and how it needs A COMPLETE OVERHAUL! 1 STAR! I reserved a 26' truck for our end of month move, two months in advance. I have a 2100 sq ft home. Two days before the move, Uhaul phones to say there are no trucks available! Only option is to drive 8 hours East to pick one up and return to start loading, or 3 hours North for a 10' truck + 5x8 trailer. Anyone can do the math that 12000 lbs will not fit in a 10' truck + trailer. The Uhaul representative was very rude. Basically, "sorry we don't guarantee your rental". I can guarantee you that my 26' truck was given to a long haul mover, where Uhaul would make $1500 instead of my $300. We were totally inconvenienced having to drive the 3 hours North and back, paid 3x more for gas as we made 2 trips, and still have a house full of items. Fix your reservation system! What happens to the poor people who actually have tenant agreements. Thank goodness we don't need to be out of our sold home until later in October. Very disappointed.

Ron MSomeone needs to reply to my calls and email. I’ve been over charged not once but twice. Was sent to pick up a truck 3 hour drive from my home and then get charged $50 for over mileage for that distance. Your person in Dauphin knew nothing and the business, I wouldn’t leave my vehicle there. I expect call 204-907/0877

Jeffery GThe guy there no help at all installing and checking the trailer, this is my 2nd time, renting the trailer and they always changed my reservation, and its not the one that i booked online, because of that i have no choice, because it’s last minute and i need it.. I hope they do something about it :(

Ed BThe trucks inside could have been cleaner, it had no washer fluid in it, it only had a crack over 1/4 of a tank of fuel, and I was told to have the same amount of fuel in it on return, which I did. Even though at Dauphin he marked it as having 5/8 of a tank of fuel in it which it did not, and then my wife looked at the contract after we dropped it off and saw that it’s supposed to be returned with 5/8 of a tank so why wasn’t it 5/8 full when I picked it up.? Over all I like Uhual and will use them in the future. The truck and nice it drive and no lack of power even when loaded. Thanks again Dean
DEAN RThe only complaint I have was the trailer was very dusty to the point that the ratchet was very hard to ratchet I had to clean and oil them in order to get them to work. Other then that it was a very successful experience.
