The trailer was dirty and not properly maintained. When we first came to this location to rent a trailer, we were quoted a price that was about three times higher than the price shown on the U-Haul website. We refused because we felt we were being overcharged. We went back home and made the reservation online ourselves at the correct website price. If U-Haul truly wants to provide good customer service, this Dauphin location needs to be reviewed. We are not the first customers to report that this location quotes much higher prices than those listed online. This creates a very negative experience and damages customers' trust. We hope U-Haul will investigate this location and ensure customers are charged the correct advertised prices in the future.

We had the worst service with uhaul that we have ever had! We physically went in and booked a 5x10 trailer and were quoted 24.95 for the trailer for an in town move. We go to pick it up and the guy who was absolutely rude said it was $53 something. Then it changed to $73 something. We decided to switch to the 6x12 trailer because they didn’t have the 5x10 we reserved and the 4x7 would have been too small. He kept telling us that no one came in to book it and they should have but we had. The website said $34.95 and he’s trying to charge us $90 something. So then he says he can do $34.95. We go outside to hook up and he comes out and tells us it’s $70 something. It took us over an hour to pick up the uhaul trailer! Very unacceptable. It messed up our afternoon and put us behind! We also told him 3 times that we needed it for 24 hours and he said he understood. He sends me my receipt after we left and he had it booked for 6 hours! Well that’s not going to work! So then I had to waste time on calling customer service. I also did not feel safe in the location. It’s a very run-down place and there were knives, axes, and other things for sale that I didn’t want to be near. When we returned the trailed, the guy once again argued with us about prices and times. Would not recommend whatsoever but unfortunately it’s the only Dauphin location available without going to Ste. Rose.
