Great fast service for a convience store. Simple fast checkout and easy return, even after hours!
DAVID CThis U-Haul dealer location is below standard. I have made a complaint about the experience, and have not had a follow up contact since 7th of May. The dealer made me wait to serve customers in his convenience store. I paid for a dozen pads but there were none. The distance was incorrect and I was over charged. The 10 ft box van was disgusting. A bottle of urine was in the cab. Grime everywhere. The equipment was in poor condition Check engine light for total rental. 2007 van. My account is still on hold. This experience has made me unlikely to use U-Haul again or recommend U-Haul to others. Please could someone follow this up as I've had no contact. My file reference is: 5285353. This was given to me after I made contact with U-Haul Thursday may 15th by calling customer service. I was forwarded 4 times in the end the call dropped. Thank-you Adela Khan
Adela KUnfortunately this location is just a variety store with one employee ,who cannot be helpful outside due his indoor duty. Both offered 6X8 trailers were in the center of mad puddle after the rain and it was very unsafe and difficult to hook it up . The trailer itself was good and ready to use but I spend an extra hour to find the solution .I got the piece of plywood behind the building and drop it in the mad just to have an access to the trailer's hook up nose.
Philippe KI rate the location overall as average if only because it is very small and partners with U-Haul vs being a full-fledged U-Haul location. That said, the Five-Os Variety Store location is very convenient for me, and the staff and owners there were very friendly. Though I believe what follows to not necessarily be any fault of Five Os Variety Store, it is important to state that the 15-foot truck I rented was not particularly clean, and does not appear to be well-maintained. For example the cup holders and floors were quite dirty (e.g. gum wrappers and dirt in cup holders; post-in note on driver's seat; lots of dirt on floor). This actually did not bother me at all though, but it may very well bother other who would prefer a clean vehicle. I just needed the truck for a quick and easy move of a family member, and only needed to drive roughly 45 km in total; so again, not a big deal to me. The truck itself showed it's wear readily. The suspension leaves a lot to be desired and I have concerns about the vehicle's upkeep, though I recognize it appears to be a well-travelled model. There was a crack in the windshield, though it did not impair my field of vision whatsoever as it was on the passenger side, and there was a water leak, apparently from the roof, coming into the cabin about where the material of the ceiling meets the top of the windshield, around the passenger-side sun visor. It was leaking from on top of the ceiling material. This only occurred once, after substantial rain, and after the vehicle had been stationary in the rain for over an hour. The water must have gotten in somehow and pooled there. All in all, the vehicle, to me, is in rough shape. I would recommend this location to a friend, because for a small variety store, the selection and availability was great, the check-in and check-out process was very fast, and the customer service was very friendly. And personally, the location is great for me.
RICHARD MThe location was later to open and i got overcharged for the mileage . I only moved my father-in-law on the road in front of U-Haul location and got charged over 30 kilometres . That was fraud . If this isn’t fixed im calling the police .

ROBERT DThis was not even the location I was supposed to pick up at. When I arrived at my scheduled location there was no equipment available. This was after already downgrading the equipment from my original booking. This ended up costing me time and money. Really horrible customer service from u-haul.

DAVID EThey don't have any idea for the availability of trucks for rent. It is supposed to pick up the truck that i reserved at 4:30PM and when i went there i didn't find anything. Waste of time on that location.

VOLODYMYR TStore operator opened the store 30 minute late.... Admittedly a snowstorm occurred -- yet 20' truck was cased in snow.... Wipers were frozen in ice... Agent did act professionally -- despite mentioned issues.
MARC BIn peak winter season rental vehicle must need snow tires without it they are not safe on the road and they slip a lot which is not save for drive. thanks

CLARKE BI had 1/8 of a tank of gas extra, but instead got charged for extra miles when an employee over the phone told me they were adding extra.
MIKAYLA DI have used uhaul many times and always had a great experience but i would not recommend this location. The truck was dirty, they tried to scam us with charging double rate and double insurance, nobody spoke neither english nor french (only Indian language). Although i had a bad experience here, i will still rent from uhaul but from a different location. Thanks for reading.
YOUNG WThe vehicle wasn't too dirty, however it was never swept out when I picked it up, there was little fuel when I picked it up. It should be required to have a full tank on pickup. And Full tank on drop off. It shouldn't have had little fuel. Not happy
WILLIAM GPeople there were very friendly but the place doesn’t look like a U-Haul store. The trailer I got was dirty and the trailer looked very old.

Blanca MUpon arrival, the cashier said we don’t have a truck because it didn’t get returned. Then she stated that the truck had been returned but there is no key. As this was happening, we were late and missed a store for purchasing moving items. Then she looked at the drop box outside and the key was there. When she attempted finalize the booking, another issue was found that the uhaul system didn’t accept our reservation. For our trouble it would be nice to have a 5 free boxes. I purchased 10 at this location for 3 dollars a box for the small ones. If you would kindly provide 3 small and 2 large ones. That would be great.
Natasha MWhen first putting in order for uhaul i advised would.be about 13 km, they charged me for 20 and infact i only used 14, i was never reimbursed the over charge of km they did, and that is the omly complain otherwise that I have
Jessica BCould not ask for better service. Great location for us. The truck was absolutely filthy. Food on the floor, old pop bottles in the door. The service was so prompt and good that we can overlook the dirt.

Abdallah Bgot into the rental and it was very dirty inside and out. Gas wasn't full and rear tires needed air because sensor was saying needed air. Never bin into a rental Vehicle that was so dirty.

Jenna LAfter reading all the VERY negative reviews about UHaul, I was very skeptical about its service. Charging extra for a dirty truck, unfolded blankets and not fueling up etc., all sorts of hidden unauthorized charges after drop off. Given all these reviews, we made sure and did what we were asked to do - returned the truck all swept and clean, blankets folded and filled up to where it was when you picked it up. We also took screen shots of the pick up and drop off gas and mileage as reference. Pat at Dynamic was great and he even pulled the truck out and had it all ready to go for us, Patel at Five O's drop off was also amazing and confirmed everything was good and no extra charges. We just got our final bill with nothing added. So please do your part before criticizing their service and I hope everyone reads instructions. The only flaw was us getting a 20 foot truck instead of a smaller one due to availability, which ending up using more gas and parking space. But other than this, thanks guys.

Omar GEverything is fine. Altough considerring that I have left the van with more fuel than I got it with, I would preffer not to be charged for around 10-15 extra miles - 575 kms was my guess, went to circa 595. I guess if it was the other way around, I would be charged on fuel.

Ronald CFuel tank should be full when truck is picked up and then filled when returned. Otherwise customers are guessing how much gas to pump in order to fill the tank for 3/8. This method makes no sense
