A little out of the way, but Don was most accommodating!
Ken GDon was a pleasure to deal with. I was very happy with my overall service and ease of transaction for the rental truck.
Ryan MThe cupholders had spill remnants from previous coffee spills and the passenger floor mat had sand on it. Not a big deal overall and the experience in picking up the vehicle was great. The transaction was all by phone and went smoothly.
Derek WSeemed to be a pop up site. handled all by phone. Picked vehicle up and cab was filthy with mud. gas was lower than the 1/4 recorded when the vehicle was started. Once we got to the moving location, found that the entire inside of the box was also filthy with mud and dirt. it looked like it was previously used to transport landscaping materials. We were moving furniture so the whole thing had to be swept out numerous times. The truck itself shook violently at certain speeds, like something was seriously out of balance. As a result a number of items that were packed by movers were tossed around and broken. Not just regular shifting but door frames broke as a result.

Ernest VUnit was bigger than needed but coped with it Radio didn’t work, I think shocks or ad trusts need work. The ride was rough and not normal to what I am accustomed to. Definitely needed a tune up. The manager was great to deal with. Next year I will go back to a van Thank you
Averd BNot sure if it actually was the U-Haul website that was having issues or more like the guys internet. All I know is I waited 2hrs to get the rental started. No bathroom so had to leave and come back. Made me 2hrs late for the whole day. Unpacked in the dark. Don’t blame the guy on the phone, he was nice and apologetic, but the scenario was frustrating.

Noah WExtra charges were applied to my bill. I was charged for an extra day, plus an extra day for the insurance. We picked up on Saturday and were told the location was closed on Sunday and were asked if bringing the van back on Monday with no extra charge for Sunday as we could not return the unit to the closed location was alright. We said yes and brought it back on Monday a couple hrs before the original pick up time. After we left, we were sent an email with extra charges that almost doubled our expectation. Fairly deceiving to say the least…

EUGENE EPros: The truck’s gas gauge showed slightly more fuel than showed on the paperwork. I informed the lot operator. No problem. Go with the paperwork. Concerns: Walking around the truck, I noticed a fair bit of previous damage. I took photos. After entering the rental truck, I noticed a few things (and took photos): -small amount of gravel on floor-mats -cup holder dirty -no padlock supplied for cargo door -parking brake levers (set and release) were both loose and causing the warning light to illuminate on the dashboard. After I notified the Uhaul lot operator, he then put an elastic band on them to hold them together so as to cause the dashboard light to go off. No replacement rental truck was offered. After arriving at my move-in destination, I looked under the truck and noticed that a cable was broken on the underside of the truck. I believed it was the parking brake cable. This would explain why the parking brake set and release mechanism was not working. I notified Don. No replacement truck offered. In conclusion: Regarding the parking brake, no consideration was given, no compensation offered, no truck replacement. I believe it was unethical and illegal to rent a truck to me without a working parking brake. I have sent my concerns to Uhaul via the ‘contact form’ and await a response.

Wayne KI was charged $25 extra for late return when I returned the vehicle one hour earlier than specified in the contract. In addition, I was charged approximately $1 per KM for fuel. This is a bit excessive and wasn't clearly indicated in the contract that I would be charged this amount for fuel.
Steve PDon went above and beyond. I was faced with potentially extending my rental due to old resident delay in moving out. Don followed up to ensure I was taken care of! Great manager!!!!

Philip OThe app is very slow, and confusing at times. Truck drove great, but was horrible of fuel. Bags for pads said to reuse but were tied off and impossible to undo. Had to tear them open.

Cami TI would have checked the excellent, five star option but the truck ran out of fuel less than 8 kilometres from the pickup point. The agent told me it was empty the fuel was very low. I didn’t realize he meant that low. I was told to return the truck with the tank at least 1/4 full and I would receive $75 towards my bill. I had filled the truck with fuel after running out when I picked it up. I returned the truck with 5/8 showing on the gauge. I felt I should have been compensated for all of the extra fuel, especially after running out of fuel when I picked up the truck. The truck was a pleasure to drive and performed well.
andrew aYour on line service is awful. You would need to be an IT specialist to use the service. Took over an hour to do. Was totally stressed out over this . Don was no help at all!! Over the phone when booked he said he would be there to help. He was there but NO help at all. Dissatisfied with Don
Ray KThe man looking after this location was by far the biggest jerk I’ve dealt with. Extremely unhelpful, and incredibly rude. Another customer also having trouble getting her U-Haul asked Don (the man looking after this location) for help. He told her and I heard it, “Go ask them (pointing to someone else who had just got their vehicle) they were smart enough to figure it out”. How is this possible to have this kind of customer service. The only reason I was able to get my vehicle and check in and out was from the great U-Haul support on the phone who were fantastic. Could you please look into this matter as I am still very upset by this experience.
Donovan MDon was excellent, if all the uhaul centers had people like Don, there would be less negative reviews. Don made returning the trailer very easy and made me feel like I was a valued customer.

Damon Jwhen I showed up for 3:30 pickup I had to wait 10-15 minutes and I was told by service person you might as well go wait in car. I did online check in and when got was told that is not for trailer pickup. got home and tire was at 11psi had to pump up it seemed to hold air for 3 days. returned u-haul and forgot to fold blankets. so I was charged $15 for that and because I brought u-haul back hour after closing I was $20 for that as per agreement. I found that the rep was rude and when I called him on saturday and sent him pictures, he did not reiterate that they are closed at 1 and my drop off was 3:30 & I had to do online drop off. I think that good customer service is not only about having agreement but certain times should be communicated verbally not well look at your agreement and it is your problem. on that note I won't use this location anymore, I might still use uhaul but the this fellow was rude and had an ignorant attitude and well he was way older so maybe he should retire and give us all a favor.

Debra DThe person who runs this location was rude, dismissive and condescending. The fuel was not at the level in the contract and in the rush to get the truck after 30 minutes we did not notice the fuel level until on the road. When I called to discuss this he just blew me off by saying the time to mention it was before leaving the lot. He told me that he would have mentioned it when checking us in but he did not. He rushed us through the process, complained about how busy he was deferring to us to the online booking system which was not clear at all and then finally helping us but was very rushed through the process which is why we didn't think to check the gas. We also had to stand outside in freezing weather while he checked us in from his vehicle. I don't believe this man is suited to dealing with the public in such a manner.

NOLAN GThe location was extremely muddy, and the only exit from the parking area required a running start to avoid getting stuck in the mud/puddle. I would avoid the location in early spring if snow is still visible. Notably, the uHaul attendant onsite was accommodating when I had difficulties with the app and was very helpful.

Ron YThere was a problem with the app and website that caused me to be on the phone with an agent for an hour. When I told Don, the guy who services this location that, he told me other people check in in 5 minutes, and said he “believed I was a complete idiot”! The yard was an absolute muddy disaster, so much so that when I picked up the truck there was another truck stuck in the mud. On top of this, the yard was locked when I went to return the truck, forcing me to drive to work and back in a U-Haul! Completely unacceptable!
Mark PThe vehicle wasn’t very clean when I picked it up and it wasn’t in the best shape. The lot was also extremely muddy when I attempted to drop off the vehicle. However, the gentleman who assisted me with the Uhaul was very understanding and helpful.
Brendan VI had to call customer service because the first pick up point wasn't setup for mobile pick up even though it let me choose that option. The second place, when I tried to return the equipment, it didn't let me take pictures of the truck and then the website just deleted any record that I ever had a order. Not sure what happened and the uhaul employee I called to help said "do your best" when asking him what I should do in that scenario
Matthew VAbs And brake lights came on, asked to drop off in spruce for safety as that’s where I was currently with the truck, still had to come back to St. Albert to get my car so I could get my dogs. Don the guy who rented it to me started telling me I was trying to save money on fuel, kept going too was a real piece of work. Anyway I called the place in spruce and they told me I would have to wait for a tech to come out and look. I had to get back to St. Albert to get my dogs and I am a mechanic, roads were wet and I told don it’s most likely a abs wire got wet and tripped a code but “you can’t be too safe when it comes to brakes” but he continually told me I’m a liar and trying to save money…. I don’t have words for this type of person. Anyway I got the truck back to St. Albert. The lights were no longer on when I started the truck to return as the wet wire had dried (most likely). Don was extremely rude and does not care about customer safety. Not to mention the truck was from the states and I couldn’t drop this truck off at a u haul 30km away for safety reasons..? Terrible experience.
Joshua RThis a self dispatch location where you sign out your truck yourself and everything is on-line. Don was the voice on the phone for booking and finalizing the transaction. Don was Very helpful. Only used the rental for the day. Only wished the truck had cruise control. Nice to have a UHaul location in St Albert now and not having to go into Edmonton.
RYAN GThe online registration and pickup process was very cumbersome and took a tremendous amount of time. Next time I decide to use a U-Haul service, I’ll make sure it a person to person contact. To register you get up to five text. Not worth my time!
