Pick up location was super muddy. Key pick up is in a boarded up abandoned house garage with garbage all over the place. Instructions not clear at all. Would not recommend using this location.

5 june 2026, i call ricky food ga station at that time was none vehicule cube 10feet available so a call 5 start transport 54320 range road 253 st albert. Was having few cube available i said i need smaller truck 10 feet cube for fews hours i bring it back 4h later i told him im goiing torhill and back what is 110km +110k i said to him 120km + 120km will be around 240 km to 260km i will drive he said good thjng you bring it back to me im gonna rate you at .99km i said cool inteast 1.29km . I take insurance he ask me 400$ cash so i go on is little garage there he said grab enveloppe put money in and drop it in orange uhaul box and take picture i did he give me code for the key and right away he said no worrie about message the truck said on display about monitor service he said only tire pressure he said no worrie about yellow light ( to me was strange uhaul is very proffessionnel i always have nice service and nice vehicuke well maintenance) i said nothing and i drive away. at the same location he said to me bring it back the next day before 2pm i said are you sure i can bring it back right away i leave 6m away from this location. He want me to bring it on saturday , was close tk the idee to me bring it back the same day on friday i leave this like that and i inform him im goiing torhill is 110km to go and 110km to get back i get loss i drive 15,20km . Come back at my place around 4h30 4h45. Realise i need to drop the truck on saturday i dont know why so i load my old coutch and go to the dump 10km to go and 10k to be back. Saturday i bring the truck like he told me before 2pm i bring it back around 1h30pm. I take my piture of the truck all side front and back inside trunk and gas level and odometer for odd reason my phone put the last 2 picture of the gas and odometer in differente file on my phone dont realise in the spot i send my picture to him and dput the uhaul key in orange box and tame picture and grab my car and leave im was having no respond from him. At 6h30pm what is 4h30later reply to me said dont have gas level picture and odometer im was working on my vehicule that saturday painting it and only look at my phone pass 9pm i text him next day and send to him he was said i will need send you at uhaul bad credit report sorry i forget how this call the proper world for it collection uhaul . He said you still own me 74.49$ next day sunday im was still painting my car no realize he text me too 9h30pm so on monday i brake down with my vehicule i told him that all what he said was anout collection uhaul i have to talk to my uhaul (manager) like slow down body this is my reality that is im gonna pay you i said i have good name with you uhaul he no reply tuesday i stop drop money kn orange box take picture send to me and go home. When im was home i realise mathematic thinking 400$+74.49$ for 260km the same day with insurance drop at the same location this is a scam. I know uhaul is not like that but this location when you look at is receipt what i can provide he write in mile not in km so i pay to mutch i confirm with differente location my situation and told me to contact you guy by here or at 587- what im gonna forward to you right away here. I can provide my text message too . In past i rent 20 feet cube cost me half of that with half of the km. I understand now why he have 3star reviews on google map. This location only not show the real uhaul image solide and proffessionell a shame for you guy . Thank you

Don was great to deal with and provided me with the directions to the spot to pick up the trailer. He was on site when I picked it up and even helped me hook it up.

Guy on the phone was friendly. However the truck guzzled gas and was very dirty. The site did not work properly when we tried to return the vehicle and kept erasing the photos I uploaded resulting in a frustrating loop.

Pick up was 2 hrs late, didn’t mention it’s a U-Haul from the USA so it’s based on mileage, booked to pick up in Sherwood Park, ended up in the middle of no where Range Rd 253 and Twn Ship 544 that’s 80km right there. Not happy with the service at all. Wouldn’t recommend U-Haul to anyone. Was hoping for an easier no stress move.

The only issue I had was related to the difficult I encountered trying to lift the trailer hitch on to the truck hitch. Without a jack, it's a back injury waiting to happen. Almost happened to me hooking up. To unhook I brought my own jack and boards to lift the trailer hitch off the truck. Couldn't have managed without it. Easy fix and I think it would reduce liabilities associated with injuries for uhaul by incorporating jacks with the trailers.

2/3 ramps on the toy hauler were seized shut with dust and debris. Also 1/4 tires was flat. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The agent was very kind on the phone but this was a virtual checkin. I'm in my 60's and lifting this trailer onto my hitch was pretty much next to impossible. Not only did my back hurt for the next 2 days ( could have been worse ) but it took me over 30 minutes. To have people lift a 200 lb trailer hitch in the frozen mud is simply unacceptable on so many levels, I can't express how visibly exhausted I was after this process and soooo pissed off... why would you not have a jack to use?? What "overpaid execs" idea was this?? I won't rant anymore but I would NEVER DO THIS AGAIN AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW!!

Straps that go over tires were a complete ice block and I had to heat them up first before I could get them out. I had to call a friend to bring an heater to me. Also, there is no winch system on the car hauler which is a must in my opinion.

Avoid avoid avoid, don't deal with don's addittude completely childish hanging up the phone on me when I had a issue with communication back and forth. Save your money and time go somewhere else plenty of other uhaul locations that would better serve you instead of doing everything over text which is not worth your time. Again don is a piece and doesn't care would overcharge for any detail completely unnecessary.

This is a virtual location I just dropped off the truck and trailer. Took some pictures left the key in a lock box. Was actually pretty smooth.

The location operator had additional requirements after I followed the app instructions for dropping off the truck. It seems strange to me that there were two requirements. He didn't ask for anything I hadn't already provided through the app. Why doesn't he have access to the app info I provided? After I dropped off the truck, I contacted Chat support to ask questions about my receipt. They assured me it was correct but didn't answer my question. I wanted to know if my contract charges would have been different if I had selected a different drop off location in my area. It wasn't presented as a variable in the order setup. If drop off charges are variable by location there should be full visibility to the customer do they can make an informed choice.

Uhaul, phoned and left a message for me stating that I would receive 1 free day picking up on Saturday instead of the Sunday pick up that was booked. Uhaul, was very fair and accommodating to offer that free day. But, when I phoned the host at the pick up location to confirm location and time. Don, the Uhaul host at Five Star Transport was very rude and told me that "he has been working with Uhaul for a very long time and there are NO free days with Uhaul". I told him I was going to call directly to my contact at Uhaul for confirmation of the message left for me. Don, phoned me back again stating that he spoke to the district supervisor and "I can either pick up on Sunday or he will release the booked vehicle and there will be no free day". After speaking to my contact at Uhaul scheduling in Edmonton. It was confirmed that it was approved for me to pick up on Saturday, as Don did not notify Uhaul that he can also provided services on a Sunday. When I went to pick up my 10ft truck I was happy to see that there was no interaction with Don other than over the phone. Don, took his time assisting me with the process of checking out the truck from his property. Asking questions of who was calling, all my details, whistled over the phone while he took his time getting to his computer, asked questions that were already in my reservation. I would say I was highly disappointed by the service Don provided and his representation of UHaul. I was completely satisfied with working with the scheduling team in Edmonton and the lady that made the original booking with me. Very much professionals to deal with and worked hard for customer satisfaction.

Don was very helpful and very accommodating. I left a few things in the truck once I returned it, and he was very quick to meet me back at his U-haul location to grab the forgotten items. The truck was very clean inside and very well maintained. Pickup was easy and painless with his Virtual Pickup Program that he uses. I would 100% be using him again if needed and will also recommend him to anyone looking for U-haul services

Communicate properly with the right details This guys charged me 3 days use for 1.5 days I picked it up at 9 am on Friday and it was back before 9 pm on Saturday He’s a thief and ignorant to boot He asked me approximately what time I thought I could be done ona full day rental I said maybe 4pm he clocked me on the contract for 4 pm same day not the next day and then charged me a second day and into a third day because it was past 4 pm the next day so he took a full day rental and dropped it into a seven hr period for Friday Strike one Then charged me a second day from 4 pm the same Friday I picked it up until 4 pm the next day Saturday Which is fine but my second day should’ve started 24 hrs past the pick up NOT AT 4 pm the same friggjn day He’s a criminal and the company allowing him To do this and not reimburse me is ludicrous Don’t rent from the guy with a farm yard just outside St.albert I hope Uhaul strips his privileges away
