Replace the customer service clerk. She was extremely rude when I returned the trailer because I knocked on her door at 5:01 and the office hours say closed at 5. My bad but her reaction was really bad. I just didn't know what to do with the dang pigtail so I stuck it the key box.

It was a lot of lights on the dash. The engine, tire and another light was on. Overall the location, people and the process was great.

The attendant person was rude. I came for a 10ft truck and change my mind requested to have a 15 Ft instead. The attendant made the change, game the keys for the 15Ft…but declined to provide me with a contract of the rented truck, Only thing did was to say I should be calling the UHaul customer line and proceeded to lock herself in the store. I didn’t even know mileage or gas in the truck…. I did get a hold of the customer service 800-uhaul and was able to get an emailed contract with the information they had in the general system about the 15Ft truck . My concern was that this person would be calling police on me saying that I took a truck without authorization and being Flint… anything would had happened putting me likely in jail… Don’t recommend this specific store at all I have been in several other Uhaul stores and this one is the worst.

Above questions didn't much apply as it was just a drop off. We pulled in and someone in a black Escalade with tinted windows pulled up too near us and sat (park lot was empty except for a few uhaul trucks) so it felt a bit unsafe in an otherwise abandoned strip mall in Flint.

Dispatch should give more detailed information regarding the pick up instructions. It took 1.5 hours to pick up the rental vehicle. Very unsatisfied. We did not receive the equipment that we had paid for, and we were not reimbursed.

Intermittent mechanical/electrical issues while driving and felt unsafe driving back so have dropped off at another location. They explained the charges and will bill me if necessary.

The only possible draw back was the area that the storage facility is located in. The facility only had a few trucks, however they had the size truck that I needed. The truck was clean and pretty new. It only had just over 1,000 mile on it. Overall a good experience. No one likes to move unless they have to. :)

Sharon and Ashley were great and friendly but the location was in a very derelict plaza. It felt unsafe and uncomfortable Also the truck we reserved had 2 other people who had it reserved?! Initially we were told it was not available but then we saw it out in the lot and insisted that this was what we rented. Thankfully we were given the truck since the others hadnt shown up yet. This location was not the original one we had reserved it from and we were told on short notice that it was changed the day prior which was disappointing since it was much farther.

The truck ran fine, but the drivers visor is broken and doesn’t stay up. The back was not swept out. The drivers window sounded like it was open even though it was closed, wind whistling the whole way down the highway.

I used a self check in, at 11 pm. The truck was showing it was on empty and sounded as if it was gonna stop running. I got to gas station and it stopped after $16, showed full. The truck shook, the steering wheel and surrounding areas were sticky and dirty . Windshield was covered in a nasty film that appears hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS. After basing it up at 11, drove 5 miles, the next morning it showed empty, low fuel lights again. When I returned it in person, the two ladies in the office were genuinely sorry for my experience and apologized more than once. They were the only positive part of this rental.

I did not realize when I picked the truck up that there was something red splattered all over the inside of the truck. I used Clorox and cleaned it all up so it didn't get on my stuff, yet when I returned the truck, I'm being charged $25 for you cleaning it. What exactly did you have to clean and why did I have to clean it before I could even use your truck??

The staff were great! And the process of picking up and dropping off was smooth. The cab of the cargo van I picked up reeked of pot smoke, though. I had to drive with the windows down and the heater on full blast to air it out while I was on the expressway to my destination for picking up my cargo. That wasn't fun in 35 degree weather. The area the location is in is a bit sketchy, but the staff can't do anything about that. I just made sure I didn't go alone or leave my vehicle there for the duration of the rental. It was the only choice for the vehicle I wanted and the time frame.

I felt like the truck was gonna break down at any point and then the engine light came on. I also could not use the mobile drop off for some reason. I was also charged for dolly we didn't use so I'm not sure why that happened. But it did the job and I rented and returned when they where not open and there was no one to call. This was my first uhaul where I drove but when I have road in others in wasn't this rough.

The parking lot was VERY dark. There were people parked in front of the business after hours who made me feel very unsafe. My brother was afraid he was going to get mugged walking up to drop the keys off.

The address given (4919 Fenton Road, Flint, MI) is NOT the address where the Uhaul gets dropped off. The drop-off address should be 4480 Fenton Road- THIS IS the address of Flint Self Storage!! When we returned our Uhaul after hours, the 4919 address is a bordered up storefront in a completely dark strip mall. Even calling your help line couldn't direct me to where to the correct address, we looked up Flint Self Storage on our own and LUCKILY found the dropbox after over 30 minutes of confusion. The HUGE (several blocks) strip mall parking lot is UNLIT, full of pot holes and most of the store fronts are boarded up/ totally dilapidated, not to mention in a sketchy neighborhood. So unfortunate that our Uhaul experience ended on such an unpleasant and stressful note.

Very pleasant, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Equipment in very good shape. The only down side was I was required to take the "optional" base insurance which was 1/3rd of the cost of the rental and therefore disappointing.

Building had odor as I walked in. Truck was dirty( food on side of seat). Had to cancel original order because person on phone tried to force me to go to a location that I wasn't comfortable with.
