The people were great! I had an issue with the van not being available due to a broken key. My reservation was transferred by the Regional Manager Mike to the 211 location 15 minutes away. There were no vehicles available so I went back to the original starting point. Mike the regional manager was nice enough to bring a new key so I could go but it took time and my plans had to change and I couldn't complete my tasks today so I need to rent again next week at my expense and change of plans. Mike advised he would authorize a $50 credit, I did not see it at checkout but I now have double the work to shuffle furniture around next week without the help I had today. The people did the best they could under the circumstances but in my opinion the correct resolution is to provide my rental next week free of charge. Let me know your thoughts.Colin C.

I had a really bad experience here with U-Haul. The girl in the office did not have a charger for her mobile device so this is why she told us she could not finalize my return of the truck. She said we would have to wait until 2:30pm (mean while we were there at 11am ) so someone could bring her a charger. I was baffled at the fact that upon return of the truck that I would have to create an account on U-Haul app. Take pics of the truck, inside and out. Pics of the odometer and gas gauge. I was in and out of the facility about 5-6 times because every time I returned there was something else I needed to do on the app. We could not finalize return and make sure our credit card was charge correctly until all this was done. I felt the girl in the office was no help to us. She just sat there saying it's not her fault that it had to be this way and that she had no charger. I really do not understand why a customer returning a truck would have to do all the work. My husband and I were very upset because our credit card was on the account and we could not finalize the return until I created a U-Haul account and did all the work my self. It was a very difficult process not to mention My phone was acting up no WiFi so it took a long time to create the U-Haul acct. it took an hour just to get everything done so I could finalize my return and get my credit card charge correct. I will not recommend anyone to use U-Haul. It wasanita D.
Uhaul charged me alot more money than what i agreed to the contract. i will be contacting to dispute the charges and demanding some money refunded. the rental should only have been $66 and your receipt is saying it cost me $145!! i returned the truck after hours and check it in online. website said someone from uhaul would contact me and they never did so i was charged an additional 20.michael H.

Make sure the gas tank is full when it is handed to the next customer. Trying to fill it to the 8ths is impossible without costing your customers more money and filling the tank.Lisa N.

I rented the truck on a Saturday because you guys are closed on Sunday and needed to move old couches and pick up new couches Saturday evening when I went to go open the truck at the location with the old couches I realized it was full of trash was unable to utilize the truck for what I needed it for over the weekend and then when I went in to return the truck the female process the return and refund while another male employee of that location comes in the office smoking a cigarette asking me "why I can't use the truck now we'll get it cleaned now" definitely not the type of business I've received in the past from U-Haul and in no way shape or form was I satisfied and now I have to wait two weeks before I have the opportunity to accomplish what I was trying to get done over this past weekendDEREK T.

rented truck at Wadesons, 16 miles from eventual pickup location. Called Uhaul wed, thurs and friday before uhaul told me pickup location. ONE HOUR of driving before I got to even put a load in truck!!! There are at least 6 locations closer.DON C.
Pick up location was nice and all of the above I have to give them that, but our Uhaul experience overall was terrible. Confirmation email was for the wrong location AND time. Called and changed it back and they could not give us our original time of 9:30 so we had to wait until 11:30 to pick it up. Showed up at our pick up location at that time, and there was NO TRUCK. We were never given a courtesy call to inform us of this. Drove all over the area trying to get our truck, it put our entire moving day almost 5 hours behind schedule, will not be using Uhaul for our next move.cassie M.

Not talk to customers like they are two years old and tell me how a conversation works. Very poor customer relations. Had to fight both people of this location over the phone to correct a fuel despute. Also told that they were doing my a favor by reversing the charge . I was not happy with having to pick up at a different location than I had originally chosen - it added considerable time and trouble, and had my work crew sitting around with little to do for an extra hour or so. But I understand the issue of availability, so I was willing to roll with that. However, the attempt to get me to deliver the truck to a different dropoff location, I was not willing to go with. Greenville Hardware is within walking distance of my destination - the East Providence location was not. I presume U-Haul wouldn't be willing to pay for cab fare from East Providence to Greenville. So I was happy that the folks at Fort Knox were willing to change the dropoff location back. The truck was clean and appeared well maintained, but there was a problem with the transmission (which I did not discover until on the road for a while). Going up hills, transmission would not shift until very late - then on downhill side, same thing - engine would race for a while before shifting and settling down. Since I could not afford the time or money to try to arrange for a different truck, I went with it - but I'm betting this cost me a lot more gas than it should have (and the digital readout showing fuel efficiency stayed flatlined for most of the trip). Also, something in the engine (I'm guessing it was the transmission) leaked some sort of fluid that ate a hole in my driveway. Overall, not the best experience I've ever had renting a vehicle, but not the worst, either.G DUNCAN E.

I don't think the person who rented me the van was even qualified to do so. I'm pretty sure he was a construction worker doing maintenance on the building. I walked in and he said "I just learned how to do your contract today!" He had to call the actual "U-Haul rep" to walk him through it on the computer, and the entire process took 45 minutes. I don't blame him at all, but it would have been nice if someone who knew what they were doing was there.
