I booked on line . Was $160 .I did the check in on line . But when I went to pick up the Bill was more. There was no proof it had been cleaned inside for covid 19. Picking up i had to give all my information again including . Credit card which i wasnt happy about because the supervisor wasnt there i was speaking to her on the phone and i had to read out my credit card twice with customers listening un yhe store . My journey was delayed by half hour even though i had booked on line . But the young gas attendant was very helpfull.Carole R.

Ordered the truck in June for my July 31st move. Called a few days in advance to make sure things were ok. The truck was sent in for repairs. I was directed to central booking. They would find me a truck and look after me. They found a smaller truck an hour away. They even offered me a lower km rate. I was not happy. Even at a lower km rate, I was not going to save money. Longer drives, more trips. I called Fraserville Esso and spoke with the Uhaul rep. They told me that there was a good chance the truck would be back in time for my move....... and it was. My anger/ stress disappeared!! Fraserville Esso worked hard to ensure they delivered and they did. Great staff!!! Word of advice. Book directly with the Uhaul location not online. Trust me. So the entire trip rental for 2 days the bloody emergency brake sounded and would not turn off. After hours upon hours I developed a migraine for the sound This is not the first the truck has this and staff at the esso station said it an ongoing problem So not sure why it's not repaired and why do hav e deal with this. The place I originally wanted to pick up my U Haul there where no trucks for me and I had to drive half hour out of my original schedule ti pick up in another town. Then when I got my truck there was full beer cans underneath the seat and the back of the truck smelled like human urine. We are very disgusted with the over all of the truck and the way we were bounced around.TIM H.

As uhaul prefers, I booked my rental needs for vehicle (and cart-dolly-applicance cart, whatever the hell you call it) from 900 Water Street in Peterborough where I live online. While I was at 900 Water Street store earlier in the week, I learned that my booking had been transferred to Fraserville 18+kms out of town and $0.69km (nice practice!). Upon arrival at Fraserville location at 7.30am, as booked online, the uhaul-location computer was preventing us from leaving to do the move... it was 8.25 when we eventually got into the uhaul vehicle and leaving. Having to travel /return to Fraserville added $25 plus taxes to my expense, plus two hired movers standing around for the majority of an hour while uhaul figured out why it took so long to get things figured out; oh, and the uhaul location of choice does'nt carry cart-dolly-applicance cart, whatever the hell you call it which I had booked. All information provided online was repeatedly requested again while we were at the location. We discovered, because we were not only blessed with uhaul, but rain which is always a added bonus, on top of the uhaul bonus, that the storage area of the rented vehicle leaked. That was discovered when soggy cardboard boxes came apart when be unloaded breaking a few glass items, adding items to my laundry pile, and one George Forman grill made dropped and smashed. On top of all that, you charged my mastercard $88.31. All in all, the very worst experience in my 59 years and I would recomment uhaul to NOBODY who was a friend. Have a good day.barry B.

I switched to Fraserville location which was very good service but the original booking was somewhat misleading which I believe was made from the main depot at water st . I asked for A minimum 14 â€˜ box and the rep. Suggested your 15' truck which really is only 12'3â€ full depth with a granny area which is not really what is meant when the Average person talks about size . This should have been made clear, luckily I was able to make it work but otherwise I would've been a very dissatisfied customer. Also the wrap took my new email but did not delete the old email and we were not able to make changes online as promised, again changes were supposed to be able to be made anytime but when the contract came in it said it had made made that same day because the rental was for the next day, this was not explained either . Fraserville is not close to Norwood so with the extra kms i had to travel to pickup the truck put me over and i got charged extra.Edward L.
Clerk didn't know the online application well so the rental took over an hour to complete. Charged a $100 deposit fee which then had to be returned later that night therefore necessitating another hour long round trip to the pick up location to retrieve the refund. The pick up location was also changed last minute to an out of town area, and when the call was followed up on no one answered at either the 1-800 or 416 numbers provided. Therefore extra mileage was placed on the truck due to the inconvenient pick up. The drop off location was understaffed and if we hadn't brought the truck back 2 hours early we quite possibly would've been charged a late fee just for waiting around to be served. Additionally the costs ended up being $50 more (without the strange $100 deposit which was refunded) than originally quoted. In all this experience was wholly unpleasant!Jazmin B.

The truck key did not work properly in the truck, it took fifteen minutes to get it started. I made 1 stop 10 minutes after picking up truck. Had trouble starting it again, returned truck to Uhaul dealer and he informed me to call uhaul to get my money back. The person filling out a paper work had made a typo that we didn't found until later - instead of the 2 pads, she had put down 12, even though we only received 2. Which caused an issue at the drop off location, who demanded 12 to be returned. We ended up paying for 12, even though we only received 2. The drop off location didn't agree to make any changes or even make a phone call to the pick up location. We had to call and then connect the 2 UHaul locations. Also, the fact that we told her, that we were going to drop off the vehicle at 5 pm in Toronto, Scarborough location we were given, was not noted anywhere on the paperwork - causing another issue with the drop-off location.Tiina M.

I believe I was over charged. Even though I was late on return my previous U-Haul sites have been generous with leeway when there was no call in the equipment. The staff were nice enough courteous but slow and unaccustomed to the software. It took forever to sign in.Scott W.

He didn't no how to make a contract, after waiting 1 1/2 hours it was hand written. Then started the drive in the dark with a vehicle I wasn't use to. When I arrived in Ottawa to return truck they couldn't retrieve invoice because it was never made. That took over an hour a invoice had to be made through another location over the computer, then we were able to close it. This location was fine, but I would NOT recommend Uhaul to anyone. The reason for this rental was because Uhaul had let me down. I had rented a 26' truck and then, on the day before move, told it wasn't available!?! As a result, I had to rent another truck on another day to get the remainder of my things. This ended up costing me nearly $200 extra, for the truck, mileage, and movers. I will never recommend Uhaul to anyone!!bonnie M.
