I was supposed to pick up the trailer at 9:00A.M. and the owner was 10 minutes late getting there. 2 of the tires on the trailer had age cracks on them, luckily I wasn't going very far with it. The last time I rented a trailer from you it was a car hauler that I took from London to North Bay and it was in excellent condition. I wouldn't have trust the tires on this last trailer I rented for a trip like thatâ€¦..Jerry K.

This is not so much about location as to service. I wanted a trailer on May 30 not May 29 `but the gentleman at used car dealer does not work Sundays - so why was i sent there in the first place. He actually wanted me to take it May 28 free of charge so he would'nt have to come in on Saturday. Kitchener has locations open on Sunday. Secondly i returned it at 5 pm on June 1 not June 2 but of course place was closed up for the day, so i get charged an extra day due to a lax work ethic on behalf of your vendors or i choose to upload my own return but thats same as paying anyway. Very helpful gentleman however this place was 30mins from where my scheduled pickup was supposed to be. I was called the day before and told my booking couldn't work and I have to drive here instead of Cambridge or cancel. Adding time, money and aggravation to an already busy day. No fault of this place just bad management from Uhaul and defeats booking in advance to avoid this.Jeremy C.
This location was disorganized and disgustingly dirty. As a woman alone, I felt nervous and vulnerable. The open sign wasn't turned on, and there was no clear place to enter the â€œofficeâ€. Inside, there were two men, neither wearing a mask ( this during a pandemic lockdown) and the office was filthy, obviously not disinfected. The man working there wasn't helpful, was rude and unfriendly. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I would NEVER recommend doing business here.Christine P.

I have rented from a number of U-Haul locations. The U-Haul agent at FREE Used Cars is by far the friendliest and easiest to deal with that I have encountered. His location is not the closest to me, but I have rented from him twice now and this will be my location of choice in the future.Robert F.

drove 40 minutes away from closest UHaul location as local (even though did promise when originally ordered) could not supply. Arrived at alternative site only to have no one there to accept my reservation and get me on my way within a proper timeline of set meeting time. They arrived over an hour late and 1.5 hours after I had arrived to get process completed. Poor apology and filthy location alongside no Covid rules being followed by owner!mike W.

The agent called the day before to confirm my truck was ready for me, and on pickup day, after I called ahead to advise I was running behind schedule because of winter road conditions, also worked me to accommodate the delay. He had the truck pulled out, cleared of snow, and ready to go! Fantastic service, nice wide road in and out, and a gas station super close for those needing to refuel trucks prior to drop off.Mark B.

I was entitled to refund of approximately $50 When I got there he said the extra gas money I had left him wasn't enough even though I only used 1/8 tank. Only went 62 miles, not the 110 I paid for in advance. His debit and credit card machine didn't work so I had to get cash from a ATM machine and paid extra fee for that. He said something about turning back the odometer which why it showed a refund. I took pictures of gas gauge and odometer before I handed in the keys. I have proof I barely used it. This experience has soured me of your company. My next step is to make a report to the Better Business Bureau. I won't used U Haul anywhere again.james P.
When someone pre-books a trailer a week in advance, only to receive an e-mail the evening before pick up that you need to pick up 40 minutes drive away in another city. And then have John the SW Ontario manager argue with you because it's the first of the month and I should booked a month in advance.Jamie R.

The wiring for the lights didn't work. Had to wait to have it repaired. There should be a jack on the trailer tongue. The tongue weight is very heavy and very difficult to hook up by yourself! Other the the wiring, the trailer was clean and in relatively decent condition.Kevin S.

I was told my Uhaul would be in Kitchener for my move but when I called two days before moving I was told I had to go to Woodstock after 10am to pick it up. This was extremely stressful since it was out of the way and would mean we wouldn't start being about to pack the Uhaul until around 11am. The owner of this location called me the day before my move to confirm we we're picking up from him in Woodstock....saying we had great customer service would be an understatement. He was so understanding of our dilemma, and did everything in his power to help us out and make our lives easier. There are good people out there in the world who just want to help and he sure did! There was no one there on time for my pickup. Suggested I could hook it up myself when phoned to see where they were. This made me late. When we put the car on the trailer we discovered that the fender was wired shut so you couldn't open the driver's door to get out. Had to back the car off the trailter to get out. Didn't have tools to unto the wire. Had to wrestle the wire off. Put the car back on. Then finagle something to hold the fender. There were three completely different types of tires on the trailer. When I tried to return the trailer to U-haul on Prince of Wales in Ottawa he would not accept it. 'After he had told me to put it between other trailers. Said they were full. Other U-haul customers in line weren't impressed and two of them said so. I had to waste my time and gas the next day to return the trailer in Kemptville. I would like to have a refund of some kind.Ian K.

Two issues: 1. The Agent did not take the equipment back, instead referred me to a agent 2km down the road. 2. I needed assistance from the local police for him to remember who had the GPS that I had forgot in one of the trucksPeter A.
Two issues, I have never encountered before: 1. The agent refused to take in rental equipment because not all the equipment were scheduled to be returned at this particular agent. 2. The agent colluded with the regional Manager to keep my GPS that was left in one of the returned trucks and could only remember where the GPS was with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Constable.Peter A.

When I called U-Haul I needed a 10' truck for New Hamburg to Richmond Hill. What I got was a 17' truck in Woodstock (30 minutes away from New Hamburg). I understand that no truck was available in the Baden location, and I was given extra mileage for my troubles. The only real issue was that it took me about an hour to get the truck. I did everything online to save me time, but that did not help. I also understand that U-Haul online went down as I was processing my truck. The guy (although very nice), seemed to not understand the online process (when things aren't working properly). The customer before me had to use a credit card, when he wanted to use Debit, because the Debit Reader wasn't working. My overall experience was fine (when actually using the truck). My front and back end experience was not so great. I know these dealers are doing U-Haul in addition to their regular business, but this affects the U-Haul experience. When dropping off the truck, I had nowhere to park the truck and it looked like the business was closed. Luckily, they were open, to give them the keys. Both places were not very impressive (cleanliness wise).steve D.

Trailer came with a flat tire. We had to fill and refill the tire on 3 occasions during the move. Outside of that the trailer was clean and fully functional. Service with the pickup location was good.Christopher K.
