UHaul used to be very good to deal with, not any longer! I scheduled everything on line ad was to pick up my trailer in Chesapeake at Centerville. UHaul guaranteed the trailer would be available. They then changed the pickup location to Hampton which is an hour or more drive from Chesapeake. I called and complained and UHaul said no trailers were available at any of the 10 or so Virginia Beach/Chesapeake locations. She said she would cancel my reservation. I told her I wanted a trailer and why would they guarantee it if they dont have it? All of a sudden they had one in Chesapeake at a different location. My pickup time was 10am. No one got to the dealer until around 10:30. I had already driven the lot, found and inspected the trailer and backed up to it. The lady said I was in the wrong lot and told me where to go to get the trailer. She showed me a car tow trailer and told her I was to get a 12x6 box trailer. She said they didnt have one. I showed her where it was in the other lot. She was like OH! There was no stand on the front so the tongue was resting on the ground. We could not pick up the trailer to put on my hitch! Kind of dumb not to have a front stand of some sort! She had to call a guy to come pick it up and he couldnt pick it up. He had to call another guy and the two of them put it on my hitch and hooked it up. Now you can't unhitch the trailer because it has no front stand or jack. I had to block traffic for about an hour while we unloaded the trailer. Then UHaul changed my drop off point from Greenville NC to Rocky Mount NC over an hour away from where we unloaded it. UHaul said there are no UHaul dealers in Greenville. I passed several UHaul dealers as I had come into Greenville. UHaul then changed it to Greenville. Once again I couldn;t unhook or drop off the trailer because it is not user friendly and has no stand. I found a UHaul guy about half a block away and he and another guy unhooked and dropped the trailer. These guys were very friendly and very helpful which was much different from my other dealings with this UHaul rental. The drop off was in a bad location but had very good service and people!

I returned the trailer and it took them two days to show I brought it back to there lot. Then I get charged for an extra day. I probably won’t use u haul again because u got to have an app.
Nick BAddress at this location is on the right side of the road, but the trailer lot is across a very busy 4 lane street opposite side? Not a big deal...I was looking for the address on the right side...and happened to spot the banner on the fence and a trailer in the lot on the left hand side. Easy drop off. Not really an issue?

Clyde SThe place was very nasty looking, there was no building. The owner was operating his business from his car. The door on the truck didn’t shut all the way being loud when driving. The lock box for the mobile pick up was terrible, the owner pointed me to the wrong truck first then acted like I didn’t know what I was doing even though I listened to him. I got charged 10 dollars for gas even though I filled it up to the same spot it was prior to me. It was such a chaotic experience I rented the Uhaul to buy a used couch that after I got down the road I turned around and said not worth it after everything going wrong, and still had to spend 80 bucks for a 30 minute trip even though I had the truck for four hours.
