Care I asked the person in charge of getting the truck ready, is there anything special I need to know ? He said you’ll figure it out. I said is this been serviced ready to go ? He said yes. I said why is the engine light on ? He looks inside at the light and says , oh I’ve had a lot of cars with the engine light on , it doesn’t mean nothing. I said it means something to me. He jumps off the step throws his hands in the air and says if you don’t want it we will reverse the paperwork and walked away. I just pulled out of the parking lot and went on. The rear rims were covered in mud and the tow trailer I was hauling down south for them had a low tire in which I had to stop and add air along the way.

Originally reserved a trailer from the Bridgeport WV location. I received an email confirming the reservation. Two days prior to the pickup date I got a phone call confirming the reservation followed by another email confirmation. Upon arriving at Bridgeport I was told they didn't have the trailer I requested and would have to drive an additional 25+ miles to the Fairmont location NOT HAPPY!! Very pleased with Fairmont but will not recommend Bridgeport

Sergey BOnly problem was when the reservation was I made the truck wasn't there and I had to go about 40 minutes away to get what I needed. My original reservation was to pick up in Bridgeport, WV. I was notified before I had to pick it up so just had to make an adjustment to my schedule. Truck worked great and was exactly what I needed.

David FReturned the truck to a location at 1704 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fairmont. Owner told me this was fine and to leave the keys. He refused to look at the paperwork as he was too busy cutting up with two buddies. Did not check the truck or mileage. Next day his daughter called to explain that he "started a business that he does not understand". I was charged $244 extra for dropping off at this location. U-haul has some great franchises and some absolutely terrible ones. This will be my last time as a customer of this company.
FRANK HGeorge and Bruce at GES Used Cars went well above an outstanding service level -- they waited an extra 15-20 minutes for us to get there past their closing time of 3:00 pm and even gave us directions on how to get there when the GPS couldn't locate their location as it is a bit off the beaten track.

Kimberly BThis was a very frustrating experience. First, I did the mobile pick-up, which I set for 7am. As usual, nothing goes to plan on moving day, so I arrived around 8, about an hour late. Apparently the “window” for mobile pick-up is 15 minutes only, which I didn’t see anywhere when I booked the truck, nor was it in any emails, nor was I sent a reminder when the window opened, nothing like that. I spent a good hour trying to figure out how to find the online portal that just didn’t exist because it was locked. Finally, I was able to talk to someone on the phone from U-Haul customer service, and I will say they were immensely helpful. They were the one good thing about this experience. So, I finally get into the U-Haul, only to find that the utility dolly I rented isn’t in there. And the place I’m picking up the truck, which was the only place in Fairmont that had the Dollie’s, doesn’t open until 10. It’s at this point 9. Okay, that’s frustrating but fixable. I go to have breakfast and come back at 10, but no one is there still. I end up just going to Walmart and spending an unexpected $100 on a dolly and straps. It took an extra three hours (8am-11am) for this whole process to take place before I could start moving. The truck was fine, other than the missing dolly, but it was a very frustrating experience overall. The tech stuff I admit was partially my fault, but when the website says “pick up anytime day or night” I expect to be able to do that within the 12 hours I chose to rent. And to wait until 10 to try to correct their mistake and for no one to be there was also really frustrating.

Theodore LI use GES Used Cars on a monthly basis for my rental. I have always had a good experience with this location and staff. Check in and out goes without any issues, equipment is always clean and maintained. Any issues with equipment brought to staff's attention is always addressed. Always a pleasant experience to deal here.

George tMy first time experience renting from this location. Very impressed with the cooperation and willingness of the staff to meet my needs for a rental. I will rent on a monthly basis from this location.
George tThere was only a 1/4 tank of gas and the outside of the truck was beat up. Had to take a lot of pictures due to all the outside damage. The app would not work on my Android when we went to get the key before hours. Fortunately, it worked on my Son's phone and we were able to get on the road. I am supposed to get a receipt emailed to me but I have not received it. The truck was returned the same day it was rented but returned after hours. There was not issue with the business that rented the truck but the phone app and the maintenance of the truck was questionable.
Randall BThe rental that I requested and reserved was not there and uhaul was supposed to call me (which they didn’t) and the lady at the front desk didn’t call me because uhaul was supposed to. Then I was told I would need to pay the up charge for the bigger truck that I didn’t need or reserve. The trip cost me more money due to a mistake that was not my fault.

Jon CA trailer we were renting had a broken electrical cable. It was obvious as you could see the tear in the cable. They did eventually fix it but only after saying the issue was our truck. Worse though was the staff not being able to find the drop off point of a truck we had rented. We were told to just drop it there anyway and tell uhaul after the fact. After consulting uhaul whether we could we were informed we would have been charged double the rental rate (so $800) if we had dropped it there without calling.

I’m not sure this was their fault or a problem with U-Haul in general because most of their rentals are one way so blankets leave and do not return. My rental was round trip. Pickup and drop off went smoothly and the staff was and helpful.
