ERIC MWe had 24 moving pads in our reservation that we were told would be in the truck upon pickup. We picked up on a Saturday so the location was closed. We had to use the app to pick up the truck. Could not get it to load pictures correctly, live chat would not work. It was the following day before we were able to alert anyone we were short moving pads. To reserve more than 1 day no one seemed to know what to do. It took several phone calls before I got someone from Uhal that could help me. The person who was finally able to help me was very nice and knowledgeable and was able to help me. Just very frustrated by the time I got to her.
DAVID JI will give the location a higher rating but be happy that you did not ask me to write U-Haul over all because you would’ve gotten zero stars. This rental was ridiculous. I rented online from the location closest to my home and when we got there to pick up the trailer, the location was closed, even though it had a guarantee online that I screenshotted. When I called in to let your customer service know the girl told me that she would call the owner and he didn’t pick up so she was going to send me to another location that was not convenient so when I asked for a discount of some kind for the inconvenience she got an attitude. Realistically your guarantee says that you will give me 50 bucks back so I should’ve gotten that 50 bucks off of the rental without attitude. When my son goes to the location to pick up the trailer all of the online reservation details that I put in were changed and I had to end up, dropping the trailer off at a further location than what I had requested online so I picked up at a further location and I had to drop off at a further location because it was changed insurance was also added, and I waived insurance. I was supposed to have gotten that refunded and it showed up in my bank initially but then it disappeared so I did not get that refunded nor did I get the 50 bucks that you guarantee I will get if my online reservation is not honored. I will likely never rent from U-Haul again.

John SThe customer service was terrible, I was belittle for showing up to rent a truck. The woman complained the entire time that she had to do it on her computer, she ignored me talking to a sales representative and coworker, and had no idea what she was doing. I was billed an extra $27 for fuel even though I had pictures on my phone showing the mileage and fuel gauges, the woman at the counter saying it was good, and I wouldn’t receive a fuel charge. I had to wait almost 20 minutes when I returned the truck for anyone to even notice I was there. I called and nobody had answered so I left a message to get a refund on my fuel charge, nobody has returned my call. Very disappointing
Joe BI want to give a big shout out to Gaps. I was in a situation where I needed a vehicle transit trailer to go retrieve my wife's car, which was an hour away, and which had almost lost a rear tire on the highway. (Thankfully she pulled to the shoulder before the tire came off. Broken lugs...as an FYI) I arrived at Gaps, 30 minutes before they closed. They were SO helpful! There was never a mention of "we are closing soon". They understood my situation and did everything they could to get me on the road to go "rescue" my wife and the car. U-Haul is fortunate to have Gaps as a location that represents the brand.

Jay HCouple mechanical issues with my moving van and vehicle transporter. No fault of the owners of Gaps service in Boonville Mo. The van needs the tires to be balanced. The ride was bumpy for the entire duration of my trip. Not due to road conditions. The vehicle transporter trailer has a bad wheel bearing or brake issue. When dropping the equipment off, I could feel the heat radiating off one wheel on the passenger side. Extremely hot.
blake bBecause the location wasn’t open, we had extreme difficulties. When I had called ahead of time, the person I spoke with didn’t give me much information on how it would work when we picked it up since the store wasn’t going to be open, and even made it sound doubtful that I would get a truck. Then when we got there, I was having issues checking in online, so I called to get assistance and was on hold for over 20 minutes. After being transferred a second time, I was either hung up on or the phone call got disconnected somehow—trying to give them the benefit of the doubt here—and I had to start the process all over again. While I was trying to reach someone by calling back, one of the people that was with me was attempting to chat with someone online, and yet another person attempted to call the location I would be dropping off at that would be open. We didn’t get assistance from any of these for a good long while, and had multiple issues with uploading the drivers license of the driver. This was all happening while it was pouring down rain! Then when we were finally able to get what we needed to get the key from the truck, the lock was put on incorrectly and it took us a while to loosen it enough to get it off. The entire process took over an hour, and should have taken less than five minutes. Very dissatisfied with my experience on this end of it, and highly recommend you have a location that’s open on Saturday so that people can speak with someone who is present. Moving on Saturday’s is common, so I think it should be expected to have someone there, even if just by appointment.

JEFFERY LI had to rent a UHaul quickly and when I reserved on-line the facility I was reserved with was closed. Abby, at Gaps stayed and waited for me to come and pick up the UHaul and was very, very kind. She went thru everything with me, even realizing I was not having the best of days. This morning she called to see if everything went well, and to assure me that things were god on their end. I can't tell you how much I appreciate her!

danny gI requested a larger trailer and was told in stock at location and when I arrived they didn’t have the item I requested and had sub a smaller trailer which needed up costing me an extra day and they was charged for 3 days. I am totally unhappy with this.

I travel 2 and 1/2 hours to move my mother and the guys at Gaps actually went and picked up the truck for me in Columbia, which was where Uhaul had set up as the preferred location. This made the move go quicker and smoother for me. They definitely went the extra mile and I would definitely recommend them!
Ashley STruck was clean, but running condition terrible. Tires WAY out of balance & front end seemed really loose. Tires bounced so bad that 60 MPH was about top speed. Air Conditioning just barely worked. This was only a 35 mile trip & back, so I struggled thru it, but I wouldn't recommend to go on long trips........
