My issue is not with the location or the owner. I had an issue checking in using the mobile pick up and it took me 1 hour in this cold weather before I got the truck. I gave all the info needed and the location owner even though had closed shop tried to help me and even HE couldn't get past whatever block was on my profile. I rented a truck from UHaul a month ago from Toronto to Montreal, why do you go through so much trouble to ask for additional contacts, call my contact and don't approve my rental. I had to call the call center twice! Since we are at it, I'd like to add that my rental pick up in Toronto was also poor. The previous renter returned the truck 40 mins late. I was compensated with extra mileage. Work needs to be done on the ease of renting from UHaulDerick L.

The man who was serving me was rude and racist. In light of the coronavirus, i have been extra vigilant with exposure to germs and bacteria. The man at the counter said that the system was going to send a text message to my phone to take a photo of my drivers license. He asked me to click on the link and then to pass him my cell phone. i politely declined and said no thanks, that i could take the photo myself. I DID NOT WANT someone touching my cell phone, considering how my cellphone touches my face when I am on a call. he aggressively asked me to hand him my phone again, to which i said "no thank you". He then proceeded to ask me if i was Chinese. Let's be clear, I am not Chinese but I am of Asian decent. I REFUSE TO LET ANY RACISM OCCUR DURING THE COURSE OF THIS PANDEMIC. You should be aware of the actions taken by your employees as a reflection of your company. The service quickly declined thereafter and he was quite rude to me for the rest of the handoff.Catherine B.

I rented a fridge cart. I when I picked the vehicle up it didn't include a fridge cart. Unfortunately there wasn't a person at pickup who I could speak with. The vehicle did include moving blankets which came in handy. In the big picture of clean it was a vehicle moved from Arizona to Montreal. The cab was definitely not factory fresh. But with an email away I had a vehicle to travel from Montreal to the southern Ontario. Truck was thirsty pushing against the wind but it held its speed. J'ai Ã©tÃ© accueilli par le propriÃ©taire qui a prÃ©parÃ© la totalitÃ© du contrat. Le service s'est dÃ©roulÃ© uniquement en anglais. Une lange que je ne maÃ®trise pas pleinement . TrÃ¨s peu d'information m'ont Ã©tÃ© donnÃ© concernant le contrat . Il ne prend pas le temps de revoir les grandes lignes des services que j'achetais. De plus, le contrat Ã©tait incomplet. J'avais souscrit Ã une couverture d'assurance au moment de ma rÃ©servation ce qui n'Ã©tait pas inscrit au contrat. J'ai ramenÃ© le camion 30 minutes avant l'heure prÃ©vue. Au retour, nous avons Ã©tÃ© bousculÃ© pour obtenir notre signature et payÃ©. My experience picking up the Uhaul was awful. I was doing a one-way move from Quebec to Ontario. When I showed up to pick up my truck, no one was there and no one was picking up the phone despite all my calls. Apparently the pickup location had been changed to another one at the far end of the Island of Montreal, but this information wasn't highlighted in the confirmation email. Once I got to the correct location the staff were courteous and helpful, but the unstaffed location and confusion meant that by the time I got the truck the movers were waiting for me and I needed to pay extra overtime.Galen H.

At the end of the (online) rental, the online site showed me a 189$ rental instead of the actual $109. I declined to click on pay then. I was billed $109 afterwards, ok. But on my receipt I see an extra $10.13 has been added and taken out on my visa. I wrote back about it and never got a reply or call. Lousy way to do business. I booked a van a week in advance and when I arrived at 1025 William MacDonald, there was no one from U-Haul !!!!!! The person working in the garage next door tried to help us and told us that the U-Haul worker was on vacation! What a mess! We spent an hour trying to get a van at the same price as we had booked it! I will never go back to this place!MONTES D.
