I had trouble understanding the terms of the contract due to the proprietor's strong Indian accent. After I still didn't understand the second time, he got extremely offended and asked me "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" He became disrespectful and unprofessional from that point on, berating me, holding up the process, and when I asked him to please give me the key so I could leave, he threated not to give me the key ... all due to an honest misunderstanding. When I had a friend drop the truck off to avoid further engagement, he told my friend he almost had me banned from renting U-Hauls in the future. What? It was a real Twilight Zone moment. I always use U-Haul, but I will NEVER use the 75 Garden Street pick-up location again.

I was suppose to pickup the truck before the store opened. It was never explained how this would happen and the text messages took me to the Uhaul site where it was unclear what to do. I kept being asked if I wanted to rent another truck and after I filled out my profile it said I had no reservation. I found a number, not easily, for help and they were able to send a text for the driver's license photo to verify I was there to get the code to get the key. The photo would not upload. I called for assistance multiple times and was told to walk around for a better connection but that was not the problem. I was then told to talk to a regional manager in a chat option on the Uhaul App I asked how did that worked and was told I would see it. I uploaded the app, no connection problem here and saw no chat option, just more options to rent trucks and equipment. I had to wait 2 hours for the store to open and it took 5 minutes for the whole process. A second gentleman was there who also had problems with the website and decided to wait for the store to open to get the key. I kept being told it was easy and it always worked but the process and website were confusing and I would never want to try it with Uhaul again.

Reserved my truck in Newburgh location never was told they didn't have a 20' then had to drive 45mi. To pick up one at the Garden St. Location. The day of the move. Took the truck back 1 day early and never got a refund. Poor communication. On Newburghs end.

The person who waited on us was very friendly and had a constant smile which makes these transactions easier. He explained everything thoroughly and even though we weren't able to get the truck we had reserved because the reservation was done incorrectly, he still made us feel comfortable with the van we ended up getting. I would definitely use the services here again.

At no time did I receive a receipt for the entire rental. Instead I received one for the miles I went over and one for the initial rental--which I had to poke around your website in order to find it. Why is there no receipt of the combine fees for the total rental period? It is very important that I receive a receipt for the total so I can get reimbursed and/or use as a tax write-off. How can I get a receipt of the total rental?

Everything went great until we were attempting to return truck and the key fob did not fit into the dropbox slot. It is very obnoxious. Worried that truck might be stolen but I'm not going to wait around all night to find out. I don't know how possibly this bad of an oversight could occur. Please fix the slot

Everything was perfect. The operator went above and beyond. The mileage and fuel level were not correct and the app would not let me take a picture to resolve the issue. The operator called and got everything taken care of. As great of an experience as possible while moving. Moving just sucks.

The guy that I rented the uhaul from told me I would get my money back overnight and I asked him are you sure it doesn't take 3-5 business days and he said no that's only if you pay with check. So I asked him again and he reassured his statement and said it's easy to take the money off the card why wouldn't it be easy to put it back on ( that convo is recorded) , and aside from that he double charged me, and put fraudulent Charges on my receipt. I paid $122 and I am receiving $ 9.48 cents back he charged me for 2 days when I had the uhaul for 7 hours, the day rate was $19.95 I was charged $39.90 and only used 27 miles at .79 cents a mile which came out to $21.33( which is the only accurate charge) He double charged me for Safe move when I didn't ask for that option at a rate of $28 and a $15 cleaning fee when I left the uhaul spotless. I feel as if I am being scammed, and I will be leaving a review on all my social media platforms, I have a huge following of over 2 million, and intend to share my experience everyday until this is made rite.

This location is easy to find and the staff here is super friendly and really nice. I would definitely rent from this location again. Equipment is clean and and well kept. the only issue is the small parking lot, but the staff will help if you.

Different U-Haul representatives gave me different prices. I was disappointed not to receive the 30 miles free then 40 cents a mile that both Cheryl and Richard offered me. It was also not clear to me why it is so hard to get a 48-hour rental. Organizing a two-day rental took multiple phone calls.

Windows should be washed. Bug splatter all over the front window. When I left the location I stopped at a gas station to scrub the window. Only to find a small crack in the windshield. Could identify it before leaving due to it being dirty

The whole experience with uhaul was a disaster. Online reservation should b honored and just verified when u get to pic u location expecially since ur required to put ur credit card info to reserve the rental

In your Contract and in your text message to me, there was NOTHING about using a DROP BOX or even that the location does not open until 9AM. I had to get my truck back from 7:44, which I did. took at photo at 7:41. BUT!! in the contract and in the text message you NEVER TELL ME THIS LOCATION IS DROP BOX. You need to talk to management and IT PERSONNEL and make sure you tell all customers when a location is drop off. Plus it is not at 75 GARDEN STREET. It is really TO THE RIGHT OF 104 MANSION STREET. There is NOTHING at 75 Garden Street to tell you at Uhaul is around the corner, behind the building. AND there is only one SMALL Uhaul sign in the right back corner of the parking lot. YOU NEED TO TELL CUSTOMERS WHEN THE LOCATION IS DROP BOX ONLY. In addition, when I rented the truck at 230 West 230th Street I told them it was ONE WAY and, like before, I ALWAYS prefer to drop off truck at the MAIN Uhaul location in Poughkeepsie: 2560 South Road. Not some "neighborhood" Uhaul location. Please correct your contracts the warn customers and in text messages that drop location is DROP BOX ONLY before certain hours. I would NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. AND! when I TRIED TO drop the truck off at 2560 South Avenue I was told ALL CUSTOMERS know that locations might have drop boxes and how to use them! PS - full disclosure - I am a retired investigative reporter for TIME MAGAZINE.
