I was told that my rental was due back Sunday at 12:30 the following day & it looks like it was in fact in the computer to be returned at 12:30am. Which makes no since bc I did not rent it until 3:00pm on Saturday - I am now being charged for 2 days of rental when I did not even have it a full 24 hours. I'm very disappointed & will never go to these guys again. I would like to see what your real policy is on the rental since these guys seem to be double renting things & shortening your allowance of rental time.SHEA J.

Due to Saturday gridlocked traffic, my initial, proposed turn-in location (on Highland) was inaccessible at the time I needed to turn in my equipment. Location I turned-in my trailer was still suffering from hurricane damage, was VERY dirty with debris all over the place. Had difficulty locating any employee to help with turn-in, eventually found one in what appeared to be an abandoned storefront of the strip center. Though I had asked, I was provided with NO paperwork showing the equipment had been turned in AND AM STILL WAITING FOR E-MAIL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT MY EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN RETURNED. (I did, however, photograph it parked in the row of on-site trailers.) The following Monday, I received a follow-up phone call from the Highland location, wanting to know when i was going to turn in my trailer; I told him I had turned it in at a different Baton Rouge location two days prior,,and that my account SHOULD have already reflected that. I submitted a customer service request for this activity, but have not heard back yet (72 hour turnaround not yet expired). Called UHaul customer service Monday evening, spoke with representative who said he showed my trailer had been turned in; I requested an e-mailed receipt showing that the trailer had been turned in. He said he would send me one, but instead just sent me a copy of my ORIGINAL rental receipt. I STILL have no acknowledgement that I turned in my trailer, that my account is paid-in-full. I am VERY disappointed in this turn-in process.Douglas M.
I shouldn't have had to go to gardere ln to get my truck bc it should have been ready at the location I had a reservation for. I made the reservation on 10/4 for 10/9 and it wasn't kept. The truck did not come with a ramp to accommodate the hand truck, and made it very difficult for this 66 year old renter to lift lots of the furniture and boxes off the ground into the truck (I strained my back during moving) also the lack of the ramp increased by several hours the amount of time to move (instead of loading four boxes at a time each box had to be hand lifted onto the truck)â€¦In that regard I am very disappointed and feel I should be compensatedMICHAEL H.

Original reservation was for 9 AM at different location. evening before I received a text it was changed to this location for 10:30 AM. While the location wasnt a difference in time, when you are planning a move around the pick up time it was a major inconvenience. The truck did not arrive on site until 10:32 where then it was just a quick turnover of paperwork with no visible inspection done on site by managersDAVID G.

It was at a completely Shady location in the middle of a meat market super confusing to find makes you feel very unsafe being there. Other than that the guy was really nice and helpful and it was pretty quick service but man the place was just so sketchy and smells like crap.sara L.

First they called to tell me they had no truck for me but I spoke to someone in there location that said they did. So after handling that problem I finally got my rental. And associate hooked the auto transport up to the truck and I noticed that a left tail light on the transport was completely crushed and he said â€œohâ€ as if he did t know! After leaving with the truck and auto transport I got to my apt and I heard a loud metal roaring like sound and it was the auto transport that had somehow jumped off the ball hitch on the back of the truck! So this could have killed my partner and I had we been on the road or killed a family! When I call the guy he said, â€œoh I forgot to tighten the ballâ€, that's it â€œ oh I forgotâ€! What if someone was injured! Then I asked we'll sir I said I have never hooked up a trailer so can someone come hook it back up, he said â€œ ohh no we don't do thatâ€. But I paid for road side assistance tho and I was only 15 away. So he gave me his personal number and FaceTime me to show me how to put the trailer back on, note, I am completely blocking my apts driveway Bc the trailer fell off COMPLETELY! But after about 15-20 minutes he walked me thru it! Next, The truck was absolutely filthy. Sticky stuff in all the cup holders, floors not vacuumed, windows not clean! I had to pull over to wipe the inside of the passenger window Bc it looked like someone wasted a soda all down the window and I could not see out my mirrors! The steering wheel was crooked like the truck needed a front end alignment, so this alone made for the most uncomfortable drive of my life Bc it was so hard to keep the truck going straight with a crooked steering wheel! The window washer fluid DID NOT WORK and on top of that it began to rain and guess what else, the wind shield wipers were dry rooted and only smeared the water and bugs across the windshield! So when it rained I had to go 40mph to avoid crashing Bc I couldn't see out the windshield!I told them I was making a 600 mile trip and they gave me a piece of junk truck that didn't even have a phone charger in it! It was like this establishment only wants my money but not my happiness or comfort. This should have been an easy turnaround trip that only took about 8-9 hours and it took OVER 12! 12! I left Baton Rouge at 1:30 pm and got back at 2:30 a.m! I spent almost $500 on Ur equipment and the associates or extremely insensitive. If I didn't ask a question in the beginning he was gonna be fine letting me walk away with no truck and it was a mistake on their side not mines! And I have proof and pictures and videos of everything I mentioned including a video of him Joplin up auto transport and it fallin off 30mins later! I have never made a complaint like this before but a less experienced driver would have died on the road with that truck! It's old and needs to be retired. And I would like some of my money reimbursed bc also none of this was worth the amount of money I spent! Having to drive that long prayin to make it there and back is a scary experience. Something needs to be done about this Bc is IS NOT OK! You guys shouldn't let anyone represent Ur name just bc they can afford a truck bc they don't care about Uhauls reputation just their pockets. The location was close to my brother's neighborhood and out of the hustle and bustle of Baton Rouge proper, which is why I chose it. It was easy to find. The man who received the trailer was very nice and took care of everything during the drop-off. It's kind of an unusual combination of meat market and U-Haul rental, but everything worked well and the parking lot was very spacious to make maneuvering easy.CHRISTYN E.

LSU is a major university in Baton Rouge La. I assume several young men and women rent from U-Haul as they move in from in state and from out of state. This location for U-Haul is in a very dangerous location. I did not feel safe at all and will never rent from or drop off here again.
