My reservation was set at a nearby location Super Steves 101 New & Used Tires 1300 Scenic Hwy Bldg 2 Baton Rouge, LA 70802 for 9am. Then changed to U-HAUL AT AIRLINE 7650 AIRLINE HWY BATON ROUGE, LA 70814 for 10:45am. I get the notification everything is ready for pickup Truck Trailer Dolly. I drive the (25 minutes )wait in line and they tell me that I now have to go to a 3rd location Gardere Meat Market 2509 Gardere Ln Baton Rouge, LA 70820. I drive the (25 minutes) to this location. I wait in line this place is very busy and they tell me they do not have a Dolly. So I call Uhaul (Uhaul of Airline) and no one will answer, text Uhaul and its a 36 minute response time. Finally I get ahold of someone (Uhaul hotline) and I let them know I reserved a dolly and need one. They tell me Dolly's are not inventoried so it's hard to say if anyone has one. I ask them to call around to see if I could pick one up. I remember seeing a dolly at Uhaul of Airline while I was waiting in line. They call and get no response. They offer me a $50 reservation guarantee and recommend me go buy a dolly from a Home Improvement Store $100 verses the $12.95 rental fee I would pay. So now its 1:06pm instead of my original 9am reservation before I get my Truck and Trailer. At this point 5+ hours later I missed my moving help window and had to hand load everything with only the help of my girlfriend. It was exhausting and then drive all the way to Houston Texas. This put me a day behind schedule and I missed my 1st day of work at my new job. The Gardere Meat market people were nice and did try to find a dolly but said a lot of places were closed because of it being Sunday. They also helped me load my SUV onto the car hauler quickly. The truck was newer, clean and drove very well although the Bluetooth would not connect lol.
Karen HReturned the truck and staff asked if the truck was returned with the trooper amount of gas and equipment that was rented. Did not go out to look at the truck. I received a call several hours later from the return staff saying the truck was beat up inside the cargo box and dirty. We hauled moving boxes and a small amount of wood furniture. Nothing had any impact on the cargo bow or was dirty. I took pictures of the outside of the truck when I rented it because it has several scrapes and dent. I guess I will need to do the same to the cargo box in the future. Not impressed with the customer I service on return. They were more interested in running their meat market than running a U-Haul business
