I did everything online and had pickup and drop off choose over a week before I did this. When we went to drop off the place I choose was not where I got the text to drop it off. So I ended up getting charged $5.44 extra due to over millage because I had to drive it further to drop off.Nicholas B.

When the Gas and Spirit location was recommended for my reservation, I confirmed with the Uhaul representative that someone would be there to help me hook up and un hook the trailer. (I explained that I prefer the Lake St Louis location because they do just that.) Anyway, there was no one at this location to help. There is only one person working the counter for the gas station. I had to ask strangers in the parking lot for help. The trailers are also not on jacks, so the renter is expected to lift it onto the hitch. This is totally unacceptable.Michelle M.

The employee there was nice and processed things quickly. But he was the only one there. Would have been helpful to have someone help hook up a trailer. Especially since we had never done it before. There was only one employee running the convenience store (with a huge liquor selection) and checking U-Haul equipment in and out. I don't feel there is adequate attention paid to one or the other. One person cannot do a good job at both.Gordon B.

Showed up for a rental I reserved online for Saturday at 11 am. Showed up right after 11 and the guy says the equipment was â€œstolenâ€ off the lot. So I then had to drive 20 miles the other direction to go through an hour of â€œthe system isn't working and my boss won't answer the phoneâ€ and â€œI don't have time for thisâ€ from the employee from the little gas station that also rents uhauls. Needs less to say if I wasn't 4 hours from home and in need of the equipment I reserved I would have just walked out. Made my 7 hour trip turn into a 10 hour trip.TAYLOR F.

I was working on a timeline so I decided to do the preregistration, get the trailer paid for and minimize my time in line. When I got to the pick up place, there was already a couple in front of me that was having issues with picking up a trailer. When it finally became my turn, the attendant told me to go check it out. He originally wanted me to sign off on it sight unseen, I told him there was no way I was signing for anything until looking at the equipment. I specifically asked if the trailers on the Northside of the building were the only ones available. He indicated that yes, indeed they were all that were available. When I went out to the section he indicated the trailer that was assigned to me was not in the line up. I compared the equipment number and the plates and neither matched. I went back in and asked if those were the only trailers available and he indicated yes. He came out and looked with me and was clearly flustered. I pointed to a lone trailer in the far Southern corner of the lot and asked if that was the one. It was clearly marked one way intown, he said no it wasn't. We went in and he started with the other couple again. At this point my timeline was blown completely out of the water, I went from an hour ahead of schedule to running way behind. He got another gentleman on the phone who was extremely helpful, but he handed me the phone and me and a gentleman who didn't really know what was going on had to figure it out. I told him about the lone trailer and he asked me to check it out. I did and it ended up being the trailer I specifically asked about. To say that the attendant was less than helpful is a gross understatement.James H.

I was able to reserve a 15-footer online, which was what I needed. Then I got a call saying the 15-footer wasn't available. It was nice to have the same price for 26-footer, except that had a TON more space than I needed. Not a big deal, but driving a 26-footer is a beast. I appreciated the price staying the same. But I noticed when I was using the app that other locations said they wouldn't have a 15-footer, which is why I ended up at the location I did, because it DID have a 15-footer. When I booked my UHAUL truck I picked a location about 8 miles from my location but when I was contacted to go pick up my truck it was located 65 miles away. Make sure you have a rental at the desired pick up locationRONALD H.

We have rented many uhauls in the past and this truck was by far the roughest and worst ride yet. Not sure if the truck needs new shocks or tires or what. You could see where drinks had spilled on the floor, likely because the ride was so bouncy and the truck smelled of B O so much we had to go back into the store to buy and air freshener.Michael B.

The truck that was issued to us should have never been on the road. It had alignment issues that were so bad that one side of the front driver's tire was bald. The cab of the truck shook horribly. I feared for my parents' safety while we were on the road, but it took us over a half hour to reach someone on the Uhaul emergency line and they promptly transferred my husband to customer service. He was then told by the automated system that it would be another 46 minute wait. We were caught in a terrible predicament.BRUCE M.

I would recommend uhaul but not the location we rented the truck from. The first girl wouldn't even go outside and show us what truck it was ( because it was raining) the ne t day the other girl didn't know anything about uhaul ( she wasn't trained) . The location clerks were rude, lazy, and unhelpful. The clerk at pick up was very rude and condescending. He actually was mad that I rented from him didn't want to help me because in his own words â€œhe was too busy running the gas station â€œ. The clerk at pick up was clearly stoned and said to just leave the trailer and he'd close the ticket in a few days when he had time. I of course called uhaul customer service and told the representative the situation, and she stepped in and fixed the issue immediately. She really was the glowing light to an otherwise terrible experience. The trailers all sit on the ground without the prop stands that are used at every other uhaul facility I l've been to. This makes it extremely difficult to pick up and get on the hitch. Had I been weaker or had medical issues, there is no way I could have hooked up the trailer myself.MICHAEL C.

I reserved a 9x5 trailer with a ramp and 2 furniture dollies using the online reservation system. When I picked up the trailer they did not have any furniture dollies. Why did your system let me reserve them if they were not available?. I ended up purchasing 2 furniture dollies from a local tractor supply TSC that had them in stock.
