One thing that really stood out was their customer service — they were understanding and even waived the late fees for my rental, which I truly appreciated. Dipanshu SThese crooks robbed me. Simple as that. I was quoted 104 with a gas meter at 9/16. Then charged fuel for returning the truck with the gas meter at 3/8. My shock when I took a video of the trucks exterior and interior including the gas meter it was 3/8 at 557pm. I returned the U-Haul at 8pm with 3/8 which is what is on my final receipt. This is fact and documented with the information provided by the dealer location. My question considering the facts, Is it true that I was charged for fuel I never had. When I answered this question I realized the cashier, most likely the son of the owner. Maybe made a mistake by thinking there was more fuel in the truck. We can correct something like this. A $20 after hours fee when I spoke to the kid working the counter as he exited the store at 8pm the stores closing time. Insulting!!! A cleaning fee of $15 when I left a can of redbull and a Reece’s wrapper in a filthy truck. The only thing could eat for a 2h3m couch delivery . Are you kidding me. I wanted to pay with debit but the cashier said I had to pay with credit card or I couldn’t rent the truck. Only for the store to charge me nearly double the actual charge for mileage in fees. I going to ask them myself for an explanation and a refund of specific fees. By the time you respond to this message I’ll be on their property. Those bandits. Thanks for asking how my experience was I really was gunna just take it on the chin and go about by week…. But I really want answers now.

When I returned the vehicle they made a false statement of my total distance that I took the truck and wanted me to fill the gas to full when it was only slightly above a half a tank when I took it. Very dishonest retailer.

Just one thing went wrong which was from my side i just mentioned wrong information about the fuel level by mistake while doing verification so that was my bad. Otherwise from u haul side everything was smooth.
. RI was over charged for my rental. I asked for a 10' truck, when they didn't have any and I would need to use a 15' i was told it would be the same price as the 10' when it was over $100 more expensive.
Brant UThey did not have some of the moving equipment that I ordered so I had to go somewhere else from U-Haul to purchase these items for our furniture covers. The Main issues are with U-haul, when I went to make payment it was significantly move expensive than I was quoted at time of reservation of this truck, I was told told any reason why and I tried to call the local U-Haul office with no answer, the attendant at the pick up point said that was the cost as no if I did not want to pay I would have to cancel my reservation and find an alternative. I had no option but to take the truck and pay the amount that was about $800 more than quoted during my reservation on line and when I called the local U-Haul office.

Justin RClean the garbage out of the truck, have the items rented (hand trucks) in the unit and not be given a run around when going into the location to obtain the missed item, have the blankets neatly presented not thrown into the truck in a mess to sort out. The parking lot is a skating rink making it very difficult to get all the required pictures to complete pick up and drop off and not falling. Additional lighting is required to pick up after dark.
Sara HThe guy inside didn’t ask me about the insurance and just added without my permission. On the contract the gas was full but in real it was only a quarter, the mileage was wrong too, in contract it was less for 150 km. So the guy there, tried to cheat me up 3 times. Terrible service

Leonard CMy reservation location was charged multiple times and spilt across 2 locations. The hitch adapter was not in the vehicle, the second location made me pay an additional charge for it, and then the first location charged me for “losing” the hitch I never received. This is straight up extortion.

MANUEL GI reserved a U-Haul minivan from this location and drove 40.4 km. Before returning it, I filled up about 6 liters at Gas Plus, but the fuel gauge and estimated range didn't change at all. I reported this to the manager, and when I went to return the van, I was told I had to pay an additional $5.39 for fuel since I hadn't filled it up. I argued that it was unfair, but they said they weren't responsible and to speak with U-Haul instead. When I asked for a refund for the gas I paid for, they told me to contact Gas Plus. I was in discussions with both the U-Haul and Gas Plus managers, but the location manager insisted I call each company separately and said I would have to pay the additional amount if I didn't. I complained to U-Haul about this, but overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, and I don't want visit this location never.

I also had arrang d a pick up in Strathmore and the afternoon before I received a call and was told I had to pick up in this location which was not very convenient. I have not checked my bill as yet but was told by a U-Haul rep I wouldn’t have to pay mileage from Balzac to Stathmore.

He opened the shop after 7am so I had to have the taxi wait because it was a remote location on the highway, he was rude when I was trying to purchase a lock and the U-Haul had 1/4 tank of gas for a 1 way trip 2 hrs 45 mins away- all of this let to even more stress - I get that the gas is “standard practice” but it was an annoyance
Barbara Heverything was really good at this location. They even found me the closed trailer like I was looking for. The young gentleman who originally rented us the unit was very insistent that I connect the trailer his way and no other, even though he might not have been correct but I guess that's his job right. The gentlemen that I returned the trailer to were very nice and polite and had me leaving smiling. Thank you.
Jean PI was supposed to pick up the truck in Calgary with supplies. Instead after much delay and bad organization from U-Haul ended up picking up truck from this dump. I only got 2 bags of dirty unfolded blankets. Gas attendant was rude and could care less about needed supplies .Truck had 1/8th tank gas left. Miraculously the box was swept, but floor needed mopping. Box also stank like old house paint. The best improvement you could make is to ditch this location. There are other businesses in the area that would make for good depots which are also professional as well. A depot at a broken down dirty backwater gas station diminishes the professional clean image of your company.

I took a pic of the fuel level before leaving then i took a pic AFTER PUTTING FUEL IN THE TRUCK the pic was identical to the strating fuel lever and I was charged $19 for fuel!! when i asked why I was told becaus eit wasnt at same level I said i took a pic then didnt want to give me my $19 back !! Im going to reach out to the Better Buisness Bureau and do a complaint because they just took money for no reason!!!!

It is hard to advise to the service of this particular location because I did not experience the initial reservation process. The attendant was very helpful for the drop off. Since I did not rent from this location I cannot recommend this location with what was experienced during the pick up.

Derek CI didn’t notice how muddy the floor mats were until I got the truck home. Also, the storage area floor was disgusting. Mud on the floor, maybe dog poop, and empty paint cans. I had to clean the floor and put drop cloths down to protect our stuff. I have rented UHaul trucks many times and have never had a problem with cleanliness. This was a first! I sprayed off the floor mats when I reached our final destination, so that it didn’t look like we made that mess. I should have inspected the truck fully and reported it before I left. I will next time.

The person who “helped” me hook up the trailer did not know how to latch the hitch and then walked away without a word. Did not help to make sure the lights worked. Seemed like they were inconvenienced, poor customer service.

DARCY HWas not impressed with this service at all. Rental from Airdrie was not easy and a one-way truck could not be guaranteed at the Airdrie location. I was told reservations for one-way trucks was luck of the draw and I would get a call the day before my reservation to confirm where I could pick up the vehicle. My wife used this service approximately a month earlier and ran into the same problem however she was given no notice for the trailer location. Both times we had to travel out of our way to pick up reserved vehicles. When I picked up the moving truck in Balzac, the interior was filthy. Some one had been smoking inside the cab and I had to clean it out myself when I got home. There was no walk around given by the attendant on pick up to inspect for prior damages. So I took photos of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot myself. There was also no explanation of using the app to do the initial walkaround either. When I arrived in Kelowna it became clear that I needed help with moving items from the truck to storage. Crown Moving supplied two workers through U-haul. This was the worst service I have ever had and will never use it again. $240 dollars for two hours. I got two completely inexperienced workers that required constant motivation to actually do what they were hired to do. If we were not directly supervising and motivating them to move items, nothing would have got done. As it was they wasted enormous amounts of time and kept taking calls on their cell phones instead of working. They also continued to ask for extra hours of work for cash. When left unsupervised to pack the storage locker everything was tossed into a pile in the middle of the locker. There was no regard for item safety or storage space available. I had to unpack the locker myself and then repack it myself as a result, wasting valuable time. Not to mention defeating the whole purpose of having the hired help to begin with. The helpers dropped and destroyed a bookcase after unloading it from the truck inside the storage facility. When I contacted Crown Moving and request reimbursement I had the most frustrating and unprofessional experience in my life. At first the bookcase was not going to be reimbursed as it was considered in-transit damage, It was only after I threatened to withhold the payment code that I receive an offer of 50 percent cost replacement. When I said that wasn't good enough it took some arguing to get 70% coverage. I fired the helpers early and requested a receipt for the cost recovery. What I got was a text message only, confirming the cost replacement, and was told I would get it after they received the payment code.. I had to argue over the phone with Crown Moving for an email confirmation with company letterhead. Which in the end I never received. I got an email with no company affiliation at all. I finally grew so frustrated that I accepted 70% coverage and sent the payment code in prior to getting an e-transfer for the cost replacement. This back and forth cost me more in time than the cost of the bookshelf was even worth. This service was the worst experience, and I will never use it again, nor will I recommend it. In the end my wife was able to find a local moving company that saved the day. The Kelowna U-haul operation is the only good part about this experience, and its the reason I'm not giving a "poor" rating. They were incredibly helpful and professional when I asked about switching to a smaller truck during my last day on the 26 foot truck. I returned the 26 ft truck with a 1/4 extra tank of gas which was then used to allow a better gas coverage on the 15 foot truck, The truck swap cost extra but at that point I was so burnt out and frustrated with everything I didn't care. I just wanted to be done with this U-haul experience. After this experience I will not be using U-haul again, and I plan to end my storage unit as soon as possible. The free first month is a helpful bonus for renting the truck in the first place. That's why I booked the storage. However, I have no desire to continue to pay a company long term for a service that I no longer have faith in, I'd rather give the money to someone else that can impress me, and with this past experience that won't be very hard..
Adam RThe Uhaul representative arrived late to open the store. He then made a number of incorrect assumptions without speaking to me before processing the order. This resulted in delays because of incorrect reservation data that could have been avoided.

torsten wVery disorganized at pick up- staff was interrupted by other store customers who they went and served first. Pointed at the trailer and said ‘take that one’, walked away. At drop off, staff didn’t leave the store to check trailer over, simply said ‘you’ll get a receipt emailed’. When receipt was emailed, showed it returned 2 hours later than it was and an additional coverage charge was added.
