Guy said he didn’t have a truck I told him I had one reserved and he said no I didn’t he we inside and after going back and forth let me have the one I had reserved already online with another uhaul place 10 miles away! Then after I start down the interstate about 20 miles in the rain the windshield wiper fell off I had to stop and buy one

I had booked the trailer rental through the 800 number because I couldn’t get the online booking to work. We have a 2008 Mercedes GL320 CDI Which is rated to pull 7500 lbs. we were towing a 1930 Chevrolet. Because our car was an”SUV” the proprietor at the location (3 hour drive) said he could not rent us the trailer, but he would rent us a truck to pull the trailer. We reluctantly agreed but then our 1930 Chevrolet to be towed (2200 lbs) wasn’t in his data base, so he couldn’t even do that. I called back the 800 number. We had been over all the details several days before. She looked at our contract and approved both our GL to tow and the Chevrolet to be towed. Two hours later the proprietor hooked us up and we had a great trip home!

Cramped parking space, and the attendant offered no further assistance other than, "back it in beside the other one." The check in was pretty quick, and GPS found the place without issue.

The truck need to be seriously service it just felt like the truck was going to break down on me.

Told me I would get $40 back if I turned truck in day early, which was not the case. Truck was beat to hell, needed tires, no AC and radio barely worked.

The only negative was that we had to travel 16 miles further to pick up the truck and another 16 miles further to return it. U haul did reduce our price per mile to make up for this but it just doesn't quite do that. Paying for miles not needed and after moving you are exhausted so returning an additional 16 miles and driving back after moving is very unacceptable.

Garage owner was not there for pickup. He sent over an employee that was going to make me wait 2hrs just so he could do other work because customer was there first even though I had an appointment to pick up tow dolly. I will never use again!! Employee was veryyy rude after speaking with owner on phone he did contract and everything and asked to speak with employee and in front of my kids the employee said " f*** him I'm not talk to him(the owner)" told owner wheat he said and owner just laughed. Not cool cussing in front on my kids they are supposed to be professionals!!!!

Terrible experience, originally was supposed to pick up in greenville, nc...well they didnt have any AFTER they told me they did and made my reservation(like a week in advance), so they told me to go to goldsboro....i did and they didnt have any either after they said they did!! How can a company be so scattered brained about where their trucks are, and why would they just lie about it?? I swear if i can find another reasonable priced "move-it-yourself" company i will FOR SURE use them over u-haul. Good day ??

There was a foul odor that was accompanied by an abundance of roaches in the rear of the vehicle. Delaying the process by 6 hours as I dealt with the bugs in the rear of the truck. The owner also charged for an upgrade from utility dolly to appliance dolly (he lacked the appropriate dolly). Then he failed to provide a dolly with the truck at all once more delaying the process (the store was closed and thus we could not return to remedy the situation). I am absolutely appalled at the horrendous service provided and feel that if this is the standard being held by your company, I would rather not use your services again!

Make sure the right equipment is available when picking up. I had to go to another location to get a auto transport for my van when I put the type of vehicle i was pulling they should have link it to the right equipment.

I was given an email and text to pick up at a location which was close by.When i got there,it was not open.I called the number posted and the owner told me he would be there in 15-20 minutes.Then 10 minutes later he calls me and says my reservation was changed to another location.I had to travel out of my way there and the guy there had an attitude.I asked about the $50 given back for reservation issues as stated on the uhaul sign on his desk and he acted like he had no clue.Very disappointed i was not told my reservation location was changed.Unprofessional.

1. Representative should answer phone. I phone many times prior to arriving, because the directions to the place was vague. Good thing I'm always early. 2. Representative should acknowledge customers,which he appeared as though he'd rather not be there, although it was a holiday weekend, customer service should be professional. 3. There should be signs that shows it a u-haul affiliate. 4. Get new management to represent U-haul affiliates at this place.

I had my location for pick up changed twice (once to a place thirty minutes away from the original place!), and the size of the truck changed without notice. This place was great about working with me, but your online program could use a lot of work! I was really disappointed with the whole process.

Another uhaul scheduling epic fail. Was scheduled to drop off to Raleigh. Then text came in and changed to Smithfield. With uhaul it seems nothing is for certain. The place was a used tire store so it would not be as inviting as it would be. No offense to the person who helped. He was quick and was out in 10 minutes. Truck was decent and clean. Not the quietest or most comfortable ride. Truck has significant wind noise. But did have good power. Breaks were less responsive that I would have wanted. Really have to adjust driving with less responsive breaks. Have to really put my foot down to break. That hurt my knee after about just approx of 80 miles of driving. Uhaul boxes also overpriced.

We had no problems with "Georges Used Tires." The problem was with "U-Haul" as a company had confirmed a 26ft truck for pick up Feb.15,2014. When we got to the location U-Haul had only a 20ft and a "tiny" trailer on back. This made it extremely difficult to get everything in. There were things that we as a family had to leave behind due to the failure on U-Haul agreement of a confirmed 26ft truck. I would trust that a confirmation from a company as large as U-Haul could have held it's promise on it's end. This changes my opinion in future use of U-Haul; I will just choose another company in the future.

Once again only complaint is that it costs so darn much to rent a UHaul. Everything else was great.

There needs to be a better address and phone number through the uhaul company. We should of been able to drop the uhaul off at the 3 other locations we passed. It took 2 hrs to find the location and was out of our way.

The owner speaks poor broken English at best, hard to understand and slow at typing. As for the trailer I received, it looked as if it was manufactured in the 70's. The frame was rusted and unsafe looking. Due to the lack of time I had I hooked the trailer up anyway and checked my lights. From the start one of the orange marker lights didn't work, no big deal though. Long story short the trailer had shorted out my wiring harness not once, but three separate times. Now whether this was the Uhaul hitch and wiring harness installer's fault or the trailers fault is still up for debate.

I was very upset that I was charged an additional day's rental charge by the drop off location. Which I rented the U Haul for 24 hours but yet the contract stated that I had to return it 15 minutes earlier than the 24 hour time period. When I rented the U-Haul I was told I could return it between the hours of 4 and 5, which it was returned during that time frame, and trying to be helpful to U-Haul, it was returned to a different location which was an additional 3 miles further than the location I rented it from.. However, b/c it was not returned before the 15 minutes before the 24 hour time period, I was charged an additional day's rental charge. This is very sad when the U-Haul was rented for a non-profit organization in the first place! Very disappointed!

only problem we have is we paid a 39.99 rental fee and the truck was advertised for 19.99 on vehicle we paid more because we called a third party # also the uhaul program would not accept our credit cards resulting in a substantial delay in departure !!!

Provide an adequate English speaker. Or make sure that the person actually cares about having a satisfied customer. The guy who waited on us was unwilling to figure out how to work the computer system or make a call to get it worked out.

Found George's by accident after needed to reschedule do to a storm. Talked to Larry Peedins Auto sales on Saturday and explained the situation and he told me that he wasnormallynot open on Sunday but to call when got here and he would let me get the truck. I drove 542 miles all night and got here at appox. 10:30 am and called him and left a message, i still have not heard back from him. I looked at the reservation online and it had changed from the day before as to a pickup location and time from Peedins to a place in Smithfield. I was between a rock and a hardplace becuase Peedins lied to me. We were on our way to my parents home when we spotted George's on the way, he went above and beyond helping me out and within approx. 20 mins we had a truck and were on our way.Although, hesaid that for some reason the pickup location for him was cancelled and neither he nor i can understand why. George's tire did an outstanding job...Thanked him several times and even told him i would hug his neck...lol
