Truck was very dirty, with dirt and bottles. Blankets were thrown in, not folded. I wasn't notified that the 50 blankets I ordered would only be 18.

While the service at the pickup/drop off location was excellent, the reservation process was TERRIBLE! I made a reservation and received an email and text message stating that my reservation was “guaranteed.” This was far from the truth. As I was driving to my designated pickup location, I decided to call ahead and reconfirm my reservation. It was then that I was informed that I did not have a reservation and that no trucks were available. The alleged reason was the lack of a phone number on my account. This news was shocking as I had received text messages and email confirmations. The end result is that I had to drive about 30 miles away from my original pickup location and pay for the additional miles. This was not fair and I do not plan to use UHaul again. This should NEVER happen to anyone.

You should be clearer with your instructions on how remote pick up works. It took almost 30 minutes, not 10, to pick up our vehicle. In addition, you changed my location, it was further away and less convenient.

Check out was a nightmare. Fully automated via cell phone, which wasn't working - spent about an hour on hold with customer service, and when I finally got through the rep was nasty! It was unclear where everything was, and the check in and check outs were both very laborious and time consuming.... added way too much time to an already stressful day

The associate was not there when I arrived. I had a 330 appt. I was nervous about the rental never having rented a truck before and he was a bit short with me. On return - again - no one was there. I had to drop off and do all the work myself. Very annoying. The pictures and completion of a return form should not be the customers job. Good thing I have a smart phone because believe it or not some people do NOT yet own one. The cargo van was perfect. Rode just like a car. The service needs help.

But I have to be honest about 3 to 400 miles left on the trip engine light started flashing and stayed steady I pulled over it needed some oil and then the air-conditioning stopped working and the motor started bucking up until I dropped it off and I showed a drop off location the issue and I was disappointed that they just brushed it off and I felt I should I had A concession in the price due to the problems which were very visible to the drop off location.

The location was fine more to do with the app experience did not have great phone service. It took an extremely long time to send up because of connection issues, possibly consider wifi or a hotspot dedicated to the pickup area.

The app is a DISASTER. Both pickup and dropoff were a nightmare. The person working there was great (not his fault) and the equipment was fine. But the App... Forces me to take pics but then doesnt save them. Sticks me in a loop returning to - you must take pictures. ONCE in a dozen tries it saves the pics of the mileage and gas gauge only to lock up again in the condition photos. I start COMPLETELY over and then get stuck at the same point AGAIN... after 25 minutes I actually found the poor guy that must listen to people vent all day long about this and he instantly took care of it. So tell me why i signed up for the electronic check in/out? Never again. I write software for a living and this was awful. Android version. No help no chat no 'im having trouble with this part, just looping over and over and no path out.

The van was perfect and joe the owner was a pleasure to deal with but I was a little taken aback with the final email asking me to take several photos of the odometer, gas gauge, and pics of interior and exterior of van in addition to create an account to send it all to when I dropped it off. I've never been asked to do any of that before. Email stated that if I did not I would be charged a 20 dollar fee. Seems to me that I'm being charged a fee for not doing someone else's job. Other than that my experience was satisfactory.

Joe Marazino, at this location is wonderful. After terrible customer service at U-Haul's 800 customer service number, twice in the past 3 months, Joe made everything right. I would go back to him, without hesitation.

Waited a while at main location; to find out later owner was not in and had an assistant outside away from the actual shop taking orders from customers... no one called in advance to notify me of this. Lost time with my moving.

My rental experience was HORRIBLE!!!! I made the reservation Wednesday online , to pick up a 15” truck , in the Brewster,NY. Location on Saturday at 8:00am , when we arrived we didn't see any truck ( I supposed to get the truck using my phone) . After a while I called and the representative told me that the truck I rented wasn't returned , so the onlY place they have one for me was 40 minutes away at the Mohegan Lake location. Once there, it took me over un hour to be able to get the key. I left the location at 11:00am ( having the workers I hired to help , waiting for me since 8:00) . Then I was charged doble the price rental , because they charge me from the moment at supposed to get the truck!!!!! THE SERVICE WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!

5 stars to Uhaul from dealing with Corporate to the local guy where I picked up my truck. They helped me every step of the way and if I could give more stars I would. For anyone moving in Westchester, I highly recommend using Joe in Cortlandt Manor who had a nice selection of trucks available and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. All around, Uhaul is a class act and all good in my book. Thank you UHaul
