Wesley BWhen asking questions about rentals be upfront. The gentleman in saint Thomas informed me that it would have been cheaper for me to rent the trailer in Brampton drive to Saint Thomas , load a bring it Babcock to Brampton for $19.99 plus taxes , but I was stuck and had to rent a trailer in saint Thomas to get my product to Brampton and got charged a drop fee. I was very upset but had no choice. It would have been nice when I went to the Brampton location they would have explained that to me when I asked for the rental. The people in the Brampton store can learn from the people at the saint Thomas store as far as better customer service in explaining rates. The trailer was good I got the job done but learned a very expensive lesson. It angers me that I had to pay what I did.

THOMAS OTruck had issues that I reported to them. Had a loud harmonica like sound coming from the air vents when I got up to 80kph and got even louder the faster I went. Was annoying for the 40 hour drive!!!

Wesley BThis has nothing to do with the pick up or drop off location. The U-Haul app is unreliable and crashes periodically without any warning. It is extremely frustrating as a customer who is used to service three times in the last year and plans to use it again in August for one of my kids.
Ruth-Ann JSeems there is a exhaust leak which causes more gas use. Also when icked up there was only 1/4 tank which means I take it back with the same. I think the location should fill it up so this doesn't keep happening.

kevin gPicked up the trailer and half to the destination notice the driver side wheel was wobbly and making a loud sound, did only one small load, supposed to do two loads but wheel was in extremely bad shape.

DREW EHaving HAD to use the online rental process made this a time consuming and frustrating process. Amanda who set up my rental was very good, friendly and helpful. The people who assisted at return were rude, unprofessional and very impatient.
SCOTT FMy only complaint is that the wipers need to be changed badly on the van. In the rain ti was very hard to see properly and I had too wait and drive only when it was not raining. Otherwise everything was working and I found the staff pleasant.

VICTORIA HAt fist there was an issue with the truck I had rented, but their team work quickly to find me a replacement with in a few mins drive. They also refunded me a some money as an apology.
Douglas TI had chosen a Uhaul location in London (745 York St) and when I arrived, they informed me that the truck was in St. Thomas. I had received no text, no phone call, and the email that they said was "sent yesterday" was sent at 10 am that morning, when I was already in London. Very unprofessional. The location in St. Thomas was a half hour away, meaning my moving was pushed back an hour. The location at St. Thomas was very basic, the convenience store itself was not great. There were blankets, which I had rented, but no furniture dolly. So again, very disappointed.
AnneMarie ZIt would have been more convient for us to be able to pick up our truck in Cambridge instead of having to drive ovrr an hour to St- Thomas. However the scheduling team was professional in explaining the truck shortage. Also the manager at the pick up location was friendly, knowledable and did a full walk around with us of the truck. Excellent customer service.
Brian MThe person in the hotel was not very helpful, interior of the truck was dirty. Aside from that, the experience was average.
Kenneth RI tried to drop off the trailer before my return date in the evening and informed the owner that the trailer had been dirty before I rented it and he told me that I would be charged extra if I left it. I took the trailer back with me that evening and went back in the morning and spoke with another person there who was very considerate and said he would look after it. Overall it was a very bad experience. I am very reluctant to rent another u haul again.
helen mSelf check app did not work. I had to go inside the kiosk wich delayed by pick up by almost 40 mins. My amount was more then the original quote initially was, and the truck was dirty inside upon pick up wich required me to sweep it out before we could even begin to load anything. Im not sure how the truck was dirty when there is a sign that says there will be a $25 fee if the inside is not broom swept apon drop off.

PETERCHARLES MMake it clear how much is charged for extra milage and not hide it in the fine print. Truck uses considerable gas and is a third the cost of the truck rental itself to refill.

I already had The truck I requested released to someone else two days prior to pickup when I called to make sure everything was available and determine how we could get the keys at 8 AM. At one point I was told while booking the truck I had to go to two different locations in St.Thomas then to another town in London, then the reservation was cancelled by a different location before getting the truck at this Motel which was very difficult to communicate with to drop it off, although the truck was clean. I wasn’t able to access my account online and actually see my reservation I had to call a number and have somebody set it up over the phone when I picked up the truck. I was told with this location I would be able to drop the truck off before 9 o’clock I showed up at eight and a woman answered the motel entrance (not the store entrance) as the convene store was locked even though the sign said open and they said they no longer accept uhaul past 6pm. The website I had text message to me (when I got access to the truck to return the truck) using your 24/7 access was not loading. I tried calling your after hours number and was placed on hold for almost an hour. Loading your website to return the truck took almost 45 minutes for me to get the image, the mileage and the gas posted. That was using phone data and wifi. Several technical issues but my phone was running other websites with no issues. The woman who answered the motel door told me just to leave the keys in the dropbox and somebody will call me to have it all returned tomorrow, However your website said there be an extra charge if somebody did that the next day for me and I didn’t believe I would not be charged us fee. In addition, I was told after by my wife waiting for me somebody kept opening up the motel door and apparently yelling at me put in a hat and grabbed some object before attempting to match out to me in a threatening manner before randomly turning around and walking back into the room while I was in the truck taking pictures of the mileage and trying to load the website. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone. Very time I use your service and my family does as we have been involved your company with 4 moves in the last 4 months it has been a bad experience. I am NOT HAPPY with the service and I intent to share this in social media with all my affiliated nursing and community groups as my response when I had concerns was “ this is the way it’s been done since world war one.“ not acceptable!
Adam MOwners would not come out of the store to look over the truck prior to me taking it. The emergency brake would not turn off on the truck, I went in twice and asked him to come look at it, he would not and just kept saying keep putting it on and off and it will go off. I was told truck had 1/4 of gas, it did not. Drove the truck 17km, put $20.00 gas in it and returned truck. Again they would not come out to double check the gas, mileage, condition etc. The next day I get a phone call from the very rude man accusing me of not putting any gas in, I explained I did and have the receipt as well. He said too bad you didn’t we will be charging your credit card for it. Charged my credit card an additional $50.00 for a total of $97.00. I told him I would be calling head office and he hung up. DO NOT deal with this location, they will rip you off as I can see now they have with others.
Amanda BThough the U-Haul hours listed were 9am-9pm, the office was closed; however, the adjoining motel had a bell for the manager, but not for rentals (though I rang, anyway, to confirm whether I needed to provide him with the final mileage). He asked that I back-up the truck on the property after having already parked it and drop the key in the slot.
