Be more clear about charges if picking up early. I was scheduled to pickup at 6 pm but she said it was ok to pick up at 4 and just return it by 4 for the 24 hour rental. We picked up at 4:07 pm one day and turned in the keys at 4:05 pm the next day but were charged for 2 rental periods. I wasn’t given a receipt so didn’t discover the charge until it came to my email. The receipt says we returned at 6 but that is incorrect. For future renters, BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT CHARGES.
Renee SDidn't have the truck at this location. Asked me to drive 2 miles away to get the truck. They had a week to get me a 10' truck and still didn't have one so I had to rent a 26' instead which was way bigger than I needed.

RANDAL CVery unorganized rented a dolly was told it was in the truck. Had to drive back 5 miles to go back and pick up the dolly. Was charged for extras that I told them I didn't want. Then was told that I never dropped off the truck and I had it there 16 hours before it was due.

Karen SThe truck I rented had a very obvious exhaust leak and I had to stop at the first gas station I could find due to the low amount of gas in the truck. The insurance cost was roughly $20 more expensive than what I was quoted online. My original reservation was made online on 4/22 to pick up the truck in Hot Springs, Arkansas on 4/27, but I was notified on 4/26 that I would have to pick up the truck in Glenwood, Arkansas which was a significant distance away from my planned pickup location.

Clark KThe young men who checked us out were very personable, But the truck was dirty with grease/oil on the floor. We scrubbed it out the best we could before loading our things, but still ended up with grease marks on some of our furniture. And, the passenger side windshield wiper was broken (discovered as we drove the truck back to our house in the rain). We called customer service, and they referred us to roadside assistance. A repair person was sent out within a couple hours to fix it (amazing service!!)so it didn’t impact our move. But it would have been a better experience if the truck was clean and the equipment was working properly.

shane bI tried to research on line the pricing terms and spoke two two different locations, but didn’t get clear pricing agreement , on line was very confusing, but in the end I needed a U-Haul to get things moved. Tyler was helpful at the Glenwood Arkansas location, would recommend this location again.

PAULA NThis location in Glenwood has no business renting U Haul vehicles. I used the online app to make a reservation, requested a 15' van that showed available for the next day. Keep in mind, there were NO vehicles available in my home town and had to drive 25 miles to this location to get the truck. When we arrived there was only a 20ft bob truck and (2) 10 ft vans. They told me my only option was the 20 ft so they started the online application process because their WiFi was not working (NO internet). Some how they put me in the bob truck and sent me on my way to Texas for a one way rental. It was not until the next day, after I turned in this 20 ft bob truck to Henderson, TX location that it had never even been checked in from the customer that used it prior to me. and that my contract was active and open with a 15' truck that was never even on the property to begin with. So now here we are the next day and I receive a call from the gentleman in TX, where we turned in the vehicle saying he can't close out my contract. I spend over 2 hours on the phone with U Haul corporate trying to get this mess fixed. And you guessed it, the Glenwood location (Glenwood Furniture and Flee Market) never answered the phone once after multiple calls for help. Then at the end of the second day, I received and email receipt with nothing but zeros on it. Oh, and while they were at it they charged me for the max insurance that I fully declined when making my reservation. What was going to be an easy 200 mile ride to pick up a new car my wife and I bought, turned out to be a nightmare. If U Haul corporate was smart, they would revoke or cancel Glenwood location.

Daniel AA horrible experience from end to start check engine light was still on couldn’t get pads from location. They checked me back in 24 hours late and charged me for an extra day which I did not pay.
DAVID BDrop off time was 9 am and the place of business didn't open up till 10 am. I called several times between 10 am and 11.00 am until someone answered so I could find off if we returned the truck correctly. Everything was okay.

Charles RThe price quoted online and the price at the location were totally different. I heard from the person at the location that it is not uncommon for people to expect to pay one amount and have U-Haul charge them a much higher rate when they arrive at the location. My amount almost doubled. I think U-Haul needs to be more careful in making sure that what is quoted and the actual amount charged are the same. Other than that I am very satisfied with the service.
Sharon CAlthough this (Glenwood) location was excellent, it was not the location I had booked. I booked 30 miles away in downtown Hot Springs weeks prior and despite GUARANTEEING rental would be there, u-haul did not have the proper truck and trailer available at my contracted location. Nor was I given notice of U-haul not having a vehicle there as guaranteed until 30 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the vehicle. I was moving across the country so needless to say I had no choice but to drive 30 miles to pick up my rental fron the u-haul at Glenwood. I had to drive an additional 30 miles to this location and back because of u-haul's failure to comply with its guarantee it would be ready in Hot Springs per my contract and lack of notice the day before or two days before. Furthermore, uhaul corporate on the phone was absolutely unconcerned with my issues and heavy-handed in its "so what?" blase attitude. The Glenwood location was helpful and understanding; and the Tampa location was also fine. Hot Springs location elayed telling me and gave excuses, blaming another customer for not bringing unit in but did nothing to have another one ready for me despite days notice to them (according to them) l. Then the corporate rep assigned to fix it basically said "do this or don't move", and considered an extra 50 miles and 1 day more on my contract sufficient compensation. I returned the property in Tampa 5 days before contract date and 200 mile under the milage cap - clearly I didn't need or want the extra day or miles. Big discount of rent price was appropriate but not given by corporate. I won't use uhaul again. Their screwup, my loss at $4+ per gallon and half day delay.
FRANK PI was over charged and was not the quote I agreed to pay. I had to drive over a hour away (round trip) to pickup the rental truck. Nothing was ready and waited about a hour for the rental. This is the worst experience I’ve had with u-haul.

dee bWe were charged for and added and paid for 100 extra miles - over the 111 miles that were given with the truck… Then when we turned the truck in we were charged for 72 miles - which should have actually been reimbursed for the 28 miles we didn’t use from the 100 we added on and paid for in Glenwood.

Matthew lOther than not knowing where to park the truck and where to put the keys overall was a good drop off. The orange drop box was broke. So I put in the black coded box and changed the code so no one would steal the key.
Angela BCustomer service was terrible. Representative didn’t clean vehicle and truck had damage that I didn’t see until after I started loading. Now Uhaul is charging me for damage I wasn’t responsible for.

joseph SLate opening location. Didn't have truck ordered. Never bothered to call say didn't have 20 ft. Got stuck with 26 and it blew our budget on gas. Now at new location and broke. Not happy
judi jWas 15 minutes late opening office. Printout not in uhaul folder just brought out to me. Light on dolly loose, wrong screws holding it on. Left me with 1/4 tank gas no gas station to fit in close . I had booked a 20 ft truck, didn't bother calling me ahead of time to tell me, just said no 20 ft truck you have to take a w6 ft one, which cost me alot me in gas than budgeted. I'm very disappointed and broke at new location I moved.
