Rented a tow dolly, Was quoted a completely different price then given on the phone from U-Haul rep. After a quick phone call, Got that straightened out. After using the dolly for my 2 day Rental I returned it on Saturday, And didn't think anything else about it. The end of the next week I get a $327 charge on my card, A call back to U-Haul reveals Glooscap tire said I didn't return until Wednesday, Which was certainly not the case and charged me a bunch of extra days.The total Was too high even if I had it all that time, Which I didn't, As I already paid the initial rental. U-Haul themselves credited my card back within a week. U-Haul "A" for crediting me back my money. Glooscap Tire "F" For billing my card for time that the dolly was sitting on their front lawn.

I wish I could rate the location the pick up was originally scheduled to be at (U-Haul Commercial St., New Minas). This location wasn't helpful at all, and recommended a location pick up that was about 150 km extra driving, even though THIS location at Discount Tire was 12 KM away. It is only because of the Discount Tire location that this rating is Excellent and not Poor. The owner greeted me on Saturday morning and was his day off. Even so, he helped me with the app - which didn't work even with instructions from customer service. He brought me into his store and tried WIFI, even still the app was saying I was 6 KM away from where I was supposed to be. The call to customer service failed and even still, the owner processed me through his computer, and keep in mind, this store was scheduled to be closed. We got the code for the padlock to the truck and I was on my way. Can't thank this person enough. When I think of Uhaul, this is the guy I will remember the most!!!

The Uhaul I was getting was in Kingston Nova Scotia and it was broken down. I picked up at this location and it cost me an extra day rentals! I wasn’t happy about that part at all. Maybe the offer should have you guys drive that Uhaul to Kingston!! The lady said as very polite and professional but unfortunately there was nothing she could do about the extra day rental!! We had to pick up Friday instead of Saturday morning, we picked up at 3 on Friday and took it back by 4:30 on Saturday and we paid for two days of rental!!!

This experience was more difficult than necessary from start to finish. Initially, my reservation was changed multiple times by U-haul after being booked. This included a change to the pickup/drop off location, which added expense and was a significant inconvenience. Thankfully, I was offered a discounted mileage rate to make this inconvenience more palatable. Unfortunately, this discounted rate was not correctly applied to my contract. When I raised this with the site representative, they advised me that the rate charged was the rates agreed to, but coverted from $/km to $/mile, which was incorrect. I did not press the matter as it was not significant enough to prolong the experience. Lastly, upon returning the vehicle (after hours), the self guided return process directed me to leave the key in the drop box located near the building's entrance. After searching around the perimeter of the building I concluded there was now drop box on site and hid the key on the property. The lack of a drop box and/or a procedure for leaving the key on site was not communicated to me at any point during the process. The personnel I interacted with were nice enough, and I am grateful for the use of the vehicle. Also, I am sure that the initial changes to my booking were outside of U-haul's control. However, based on the difficulties experienced throughout, I would avoid renting from U-haul in the future or recommending this service to others.

Location was good, convenient next to a main highway. I picked up in a torrential downpour and they still came out to help me with hitching up the trailer. I had reserved s utility dolly, but they didn’t have any when I arrived. I was given a refund for it, though.

We rented a 5 by 8 covered trailer to transport 2 power wheelchairs. It was a perfect size and low enough to the ground so that our ramp would work. Our only suggestion would be possible fold down closures.

The UHaul agent (Tanya) was pleasant and courteous and we received clear and prompt service. Our first time renting a vehicle in several years so the advances in technology (e.g., electronic contract, scanning licence, etc.) were all new to us. She made the process smooth and problem-free. We booked the 20 foot uhaul, however when we went to pick it up the vehicle wouldn’t start. We were provided the 26 foot uhaul and told it would be no extra charge. We were then charged the kilometre rate for the 26 foot uhaul. We would appreciate if we could be charged the rate of the 20 foot uhaul.

The only problem was with a mix up with my reservation. It took way too long at the counter to get it straightened out. It wasn’t the lady at the counter fault. It was with reservations! Very frustrating!

Tanya was wonderful! She worked really hard problem solving the issues we kept facing. Would I recommend Glooscap Discount Tire? Absolutely! Would I recommend UHAUL? Probably not.

My experience in picking up my truck in Kentville was the most frustrating of my 63 years….I spent over 2 hours trying to get my vehicle. It was a ridiculous situation.

I did self check in and the lock was frozen, as was the rear hatch. Not anyone’s fault, but it kinda ruined my day wrestling with that for a half hour in the freezing cold.

This isn’t the drop off location. I was in an accident and had purchased insurance. I received two calls from the drop off location asking when I was bringing the trailer back after I had reported the accident, and the second call hung up on me. When the main dispatch called me about the accident, she opened with ‘hello, this is Uhaul central dispatch. You had an accident with one of our trailers and owe us $1043. When will you be paying that?’ No how are you. No sorry to hear you had an accident. I told her I had insurance. She said she’d get back to me. A couple of days later she did and apologized and said my money would be refunded in up to 5 business days. It took over a week. The communication between departments was atrocious. Keep your receipts. Get the insurance. Keep the records of your calls to them.

The price I was quoted was wrong. Thr uhaul was not full of fuel. When I brought it back I was called and informed that I owed another 149.00 for cleaning and fuel. The fuel whrn I got the truck was at a quarter of a tank. I swept out the uhaul before I returned it and was told I had to pay a cleaning fee. I am not very impressed with your service

The ball latch could have used some lube, but other than that everything was absolutely fine! The lady that checked me in for the rental was pleasant and approachable, made me very comfortable throughout the transaction! The 6'x12' trailers are a bit of a lift, especially when parked on grass! Why don't you have a tongue jack on them? This would allow experienced towers to back up and hook up with no physical exertion. I am 51, and 145 lbs, thankfully I do have a physical job that keeps me in shape, if that wasn't the case I am not sure an average person could hook that trailer solo! Mainly because it was parked on soft ground and took alot of effort to move manually!

Where I got the truck was great but u haul it's self sucked asked for a 10f truck and car dolly got their and u haul just had the dolly booked for me no truck so had to rebook a truck and had to take a 26f truck and this has happened 3 times before

To begin with I ordered a 20 foot truck, a different location and the ability to speak with a u-haul staff member. I was sent to a different location, given a 26 foot truck, and there were no staff at all, at this location as it was closed. So, I had to use the app, which I really preferred not to. It also appeared that the powerlines running above the truck were resting on the top of the truck, which was quite unsafe feeling.

I was over charged and when I tried to have it fixed they hung up on me. The girl someone would call me to go over it but no one called...only customer service is in US and was 1 hour wait on phone. At this point I would not recommend or use again. 😕
