BRYAN TThe man working that day at Golden Eagle seemed to be a bit deceptive. I initially rented from a Westerville location, but their trailer was damaged so she set me up with a trailer in Sunbury at the Golden Eagle Storage location. I rented for 2 days initially beginning on Friday 6/2/23 at 3 pm and dropping off Sunday 6/4 by 3 pm. I got there and picked up a bit earlier at 2:08 pm. The man working said "Your total for the rental will be $96 (and some cents) and $24 for insurance. He made it sound like insurance was required until I asked "isn't insurance optional?" Then he said "yes", but he had no intention of letting me know that. Also, instead of the man working telling me that he would charge me for a 3rd day because I picked up 52 minutes earlier, he simply said "Your total is $96 (and some change)", which is the cost of a 3-day rental. He didn't let me know that an entire extra day was being charged because I picked up 52 minutes early, not did he let me know that if I returned it on Sunday by 2:08 pm, I wouldn't be charged for a 3rd day. The 3rd thing, was he simply said to "drop it off Sunday by 3 pm". I asked if they were open on Sunday and he said "No. You can just drop it off and we'll take care of it Monday". He didn't mention that I had the option of doing a self check-in on Sunday and that I could drop it off earlier than 3 pm so I wouldn't get charged for a 3rd day for those 52 minutes. Thank goodness I called U-Haul and the customer service lady told me that I could do a self check-in and that my credit card only had a hold on it and that if I return the trailer before 3 pm Sunday, I would only be charged for 2 days. Because the man that worked at Golden Eagle didn't tell me any of that. It's not like I rent U-Hauls every day and would know these things. I believe he was purposefully not telling me so he would get a 3-day rental out of it. If there were only 1 thing he left out, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but it was 5 things he never even mentioned: 1.) trying to charge me for optional insurance, 2.) not letting me know he was charging me for a 3rd day because I was there 52 minutes earlier that planned, 3.) not telling me about the self check-in, 4.) not telling me that if I dropped off by 2:08 Sunday I would only be charged for 2 days, 5.) not telling me it's only a 'hold' on my credit card until the trailer is checked in. Seems deceptive to me, therefore I would never rent from this location again and I live in Sunbury so it would be more convenient. I'd rather go farther to a location who is forthcoming.
Toni TThe van could use an alignment. However, the owner was wonderfully helpful and answered all of our questions. The process was completely painless, as well as pick-up and drop off. I highly recommend this location.
Kathy HIt is not the fault of the location bit the process to obtain your vehicle through the mobile option is to complicated. There was not much warning to th extent of the pick up process. My emails said 3 steps but it was many more.
Ashley MNo sticker displaying how big the gas tank is. I ended up putting in $25 or so extra in the tank before I returned it.

Richard WIt would be nice if the return time was stated in at least one of the emails especially the one with the "Order Summary". Unfortunately, I got burned for $20.00 because I didn't return the trailer by 10AM. Nowhere on any of the documentation that I received did it state the time (Just the date) that it had to be returned...That's my .02 but you still got my 20.00

Mack RInitial location advised the trailer I rented, which was a 6’ x 12’ trailer, only had a 4’ 9” clearance opening to get onto the trailer. What’s the point in getting a 6’ wide trailer if it only have a 4’ 9” opening?! Had to switch Uhaul locations and rent a trailer with no ramp to accommodate the mower I purchased. Luckily, seller of mower had some ramps I could borrow to get on and off the trailer. I wasted at least 1.5 hours and gas driving to different locations just to get a trailer. Do better Uhaul. Make a ramp that doesn’t limit the opening of the 6’ x 12’ trailer.

Jay BBoth companies was exceptionally nice and professional (picking up and dropping off) they called a couple days before pick up to notify me know they didn't have the size uhaul I needed at the specific location I designated, but got me another locating that was just as close and they upgraded me from a 15ft uhaul to a 20ft uhaul at the same rate that I had reserved. They are so awesome.
Kimberly BBecky in Westerville is very helpful. She worked hard to ensure we could pick up our trailer at their new store in Sunbury which is closer and much more convenient. The Sunbury guy was very efficient also 😁
JEFFREY BTim and his entire staff was very pleasant to work with. He went over our lease with us and welcomed any questions we may have had. Their storage rates are very reasonable , especially for climate control storage. The facility is nice and clean. I would recommend Golden Eagle for any storage needs you may have. We also rented a 10 ft. moving truck which was very clean.
Judy JEasy access to get into and out of the site. Very clean, very helpful folks. Storage rental units and UHaul rental trucks are their main focus.
