Goleta Motors in Goleta, CA should have zero stars because the owner is dishonest and manipulative. First of all, I rented a trailer from June15 until June 18. The owner called me and asked me to pick it up early because he was not going to be available on the day I had rented it. He said that he may not have any trailers for the day I requested and if I didn’t come early that I may not get one. I came early as per his request and I told him that I would be driving back home on the 17th and wouldn’t be back until late that night. He said no worries, I would not be charged extra. He also said I better give him 5 stars or he wouldn’t rent a trailer to me the next time I come. When I arrived at my destination I was charged for an extra day. I called the owner in Goleta to fix it and he said he would but he didn’t. Don’t trust him.

The absolute best service and equipment! Kelly was an amazing person and had the best service and also the gentleman that was younger was very detailed and explained everything perfectly! The best place to rent U-Hauls!

Kelly in Goleta, CA who rented to us was awesome! Saved us a two hour trip with traffic by personally making sure that the truck we wanted was available. He followed up when our plans were in flux. He gave us an extra 100 miles which ended up being very important. Drop off in Spokane, WA also went well. We went to the wrong location but Brandon accommodated us anyways. At another store in Santa Barbara they gave us a free box hanger to go with the clothing box that we already had. 2 thumbs up to everybody. Saved us a lot of time, money, and hassle. Thanks.

My rental was changed 3 times. I was supposed to pick up in Santa Barbara, then was told to go to Buellton with is a 50 minute drive. When I complained I was given a larger trailer than I needed. Then the location was moved again to another pick up spot in Goleta. I was supposed to pick up at 9:00 am, which pushed out to 10:30 which then pushed out to 11:00 because the guy at Goleta Motors said "I don't usually work on Sundays and there is a lot of traffic." Caused our move out day to be delayed and arrived back in the bay area at 11:00 pm. It was a horrible experience - I will think twice about using UHaul ever again - I thought you were pros???

The personnel were excellent and were excellent with communication and answered texts quickly. The locatuon does not lend itself to be inviting. It is difficult to get in n out of.

He went above and beyond for my rental. My original location did not have my van so they moved it twice. I was very lucky that someone turned in my van early. Otherwise I would’ve been out of luck. He came in after hours and helped me pick it up. I’m more frustrated that U-Haul allows reservations to happen when they don’t have the vehicle. This is not the first time.

I did not get any paperwork from the U-Haul dealer and when I gave back the truck he said he would charge me for the truck rental by my credit card, but he overcharged me for the truck rental for which I only used it for less than 4 hours. He ripped me off. Can you help me?

The owner of the place we’re bugging me too much on a phone call. He was calling me many times because he wanted to charge a deposit for the rent vehicle and this is never happens to me in another locations. I never will rent a U-Haul at this location.

Excellent service, I am disabled and needed extra assistance, and the service provider went above and beyond. This was my partner and I first time driving a truck and towing, we felt informed and really appreciated the demonstration of how to use the dolly.

Last minute reservation on a Sunday morning. Operator was not clear about how I was supposed to pick up the truck. Hard to understand him on the phone. Good news is that I could get the key from a lock box and the truck worked great for a 260 mile one-way trip.

I came to this location to rent a uhaul for my piano move and it was a very professional and seamless experience. The other uhaul location had a long line and didnt look well maintained. I was extremely pleased with my service here and will be coming back with any further moving needs!
