The man in charge was 10 minutes late for my appointment and he was very slow and inefficient in printing off the paperwork and giving me the keys to the truck. I wouldn’t have minded so much if I didn’t have a moving crew waiting on me, but still, the whole process could have been much more efficient.

Lot is really small and hard to maneuver. Lot attendant was rushed and it took a long time to get my truck and to drop it back off. I got my truck with almost no gas in it even though he said it was almost full.

Goleta Motors is, without exaggeration, the WORST business in Santa Barbara. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance to make sure I would have the truck I needed to move home to San Diego, and they still did not have my reservation. I waited around until 6pm when they did get the truck I needed, and then the man who runs the place has the nerve to tell me "I got lucky that they had this truck for me." The original location I selected did not have my reservation, which is why they sent me to Goleta Motors, who then charged me a higher cost than my initial quote from the other location, without warning me in advance. Further, the truck I received had a mere 3/8 full tank of gas, despite my reservation clearly showing that I would travelling one way to San Diego, a full 212 miles. I filled the tank and I returned it to Poway with a little more than 1/2 tank. The man who runs Goleta Motors was incredibly rude to my mother and I, and was neither personable nor reasonable as he tried to rush us through signing the paperwork, including damage check information, before we even had a chance to look at the truck. Lastly, there was no attempt whatsoever to try and work with us in order to maintain our future business, as the man clearly did not care and only wanted us to take the truck and leave. This was not a matter of our bad luck, but poor planning and lack of concern for the customer by this business. As a result, I will be warning anyone I know to stay far away from Goleta Motors, and will never be doing business here again.

I received a truck with tire pressure and engine warning lights on. I was told not to worry, but of course it was unsettling and added anxiety to the already stressful experience of moving. Also, the air conditioning on the truck did not work at all, which made the several-hour summer drive extremely uncomfortable. I realize it was a busy time and there was no other truck available at that location, but it made my experience very unpleasant. This is the first time I have tried U-Haul and will probably be the last.

Sahaid was extremely helpful! He went out of his way to help us load the dollys we needed and ensure that we would have at least four for our building's move in. I would definitely recommend them!

· When we parked at the Uhaul location, the agent told us there was no parking there and told us to move our car and park at the Wendy’s restaurant next door. · The agent asked us to sign the condition of rental form without inspecting the van. We refused and asked that we be allowed to inspect the van together before we signed. · We found six unmarked damaged areas on the van during the inspection with the agent. These areas were noted on our contract but were not marked on the vehicle. Therefore the next rental customer may be charged for them. · Although our check out time was 2:30 PM, our contract stated that we had to return the van by 12:30 PM. When asked that this error be corrected, the agent said he would change it on the computer. However, we wanted it to be changed on the contract we were given. The agent refused to print us a new copy but finally agreed to change the time on our copy and initial it. · We were told that we would be charged $25 if the van was not clean when it was returned. (Enterprise Car rental never charges for this.) · The van had a horrible odor that smelled like manure. · When we returned the van, we asked for a credit for the extra quarter tank of gas we had bought, the agent refused. (Enterprise Car rental always gives us a card for gas credit that we can apply the next time we rent a vehicle from them.) · When we asked that the agent sign that the van had been returned without any damage. He refused, so we wrote “returned without damage” on the form before we signed it. · When we requested a copy of the form that we had just signed, the agent refused to give us one.

I had pleasure of being assisted by the manager or owner there, he was very nice very helpful and it was really amazing to watch him work as he was the only one there cuz I came one hour before closing. I reserved my truck online for 10 am. I received a call the next day and was told my truck would not be available until 10:30 am instead of 10 am. I showed up to pick up my truck at 10:30 (when I was told it would be ready) and had to wait until 11:15 am before I actually got my truck and was able to leave. It is clear that this location does not allow people to use the online 24 hour pickup service (10:30 am is the time listed online for Goleta Motors opening). I think that it's fine to not allow customers to use the 24 hour pickup service, but that should be made clear before a customer is allowed to book a truck. I think it is also unreasonable to have to wait almost an hour beyond the time I was told my vehicle would be ready, especially since I already had to adjust my schedule to accommodate this location's opening time (despite being guaranteed a 10 am pickup time online). I would not recommend any rent from this location.

Disgusting. Took me hours to rent a trailer. I was trying to rent at Modoc road. They did not have it. Why the hell did your system make that completely clear which it did not? I did it online and it was the worst experience of all time.
