It stated that there was someone at the counter for check out and I arrived at 10:45am and no one was there, I had to download the app and wasted time. Same with drop off, I knocked and no one was there and then half way into the mobile return the worker comes out and asks me for the keys. And I asked for receipt and he told me to complete the app. Super frustrating.

Better windshield wipers or treatment on the windshield...rained a LOT when I used it but it does not normally rain here much at all so not really surprised.

The van that I rented reeked of cigarette smoke. THE SPEEDOMETER was BROKEN and the gas tank was empty! I had to fill the tank up before I could even use it and then I was only reimbursed $7 from my charge to use the vehicle!!! The worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul! I need to speak with someone at U-Haul!

U Haul from Hell. I was told the only uhaul pickup location was 80 miles (40 miles one way) in the opposite direction. After dispatch said my equipment would be ready upon arrival, I arrived at the 1st location. No equipment. I waited an hour then was told another location had a trailer. Upon arrival. Noone there. waited another hour. The customer service reps were friendly enough. No gripes with them. However, I lost a day just trying to pickup equipment. :( A day later I get on the road, with my truck loaded on the trailer in tow behind my 20' moving van. Hours into the move thank God we stopped and noticed a horrendous noise coming from the trailer wheels. We found the nearest Uhaul to report the problem and waited an hour for a specialist to examine the trailer. The brakes were red hot. NO Brake fluid in brake assist reservoir! Bone dry...seriously?! We had to unload and reload the truck onto another trailer and after a few more hours we were back on the road. I was so thankful my brother & son were caravaning and noticed the problem or I might have lost my truck and trailer! An equipment report was said to filed but I've not heard back about any of these issues nor have I received a final total of my rental charges. With all the issues I experienced, a Pod rental is probably the way to go...next time.

The APP was terrible. Not only was it extremely slow (even with good reception), but no matter what I tried, I could not get it to accept the photo of the back of my driver's license. It was very time consuming (on a very busy day!) and very frustrating. Fortunately, the location owner was available to help, but he had a long line of people to deal with as well. I will tell anyone to avoid attempting the rental through the app. Unless that was a one-time glitch, there is no excuse to put your customers through that. Your intention to put more rentals out there, and with a self-checkout, is great, but it's not working consistently.

Kelly the u haul agent was very polite and kind. He was easy to talk to. The vehicle I rented was clean and we'll kept. I enjoyed driving it to a point that it was so comfortable I wanted to keep it longer.

Arrived on time but had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to come and move another moving truck out of the way in order to leave the lot. The lot is VERY small, hard to navigate around in. Person that came to help move the truck out of the way rushed me through my van inspection, leading to me not noticing dent on van's side panel on driver's side. Also had trouble returning van, mostly because of the online return process dying on my in the last moment (right after I took the last picture showing the location of the truck) and now this rental won't even show up in my rental history any longer. For an online process that's supposed to be much more straightforward I spent way too much time on the phone to take care of a number of issues. Yet again, not a great experience w/ U-Haul, you have a lot of room for improvement.

The business was very unprofessional when it came to getting the vehicle. They also overcharged us 4x of the original price for gas when we returned the vehicle. In addition, when we attempted to call the business and prove that we drove less than what they charged us for, they ignored us and disregarded our opinion. They charge customers for the gas that they do not even use. I do not recommend renting from this location.

Wehn I arrives, the app was not loading or operating. There was a person working there, but he was unable to help because he didnn't know the process and there was a language barrier. He put me on the phone with "the owner" who proceeded to yell at me because I was late. I explained I had travelled 160 miles to get there and there was traffic. He told me someone would call. I asked "who is going to call and when?" He yelled, :Someone will call." Another customer was attempting to pick up her van. She had her code and when she unlocked the box, she retrieved the key to the van I was assigned. The man working there indicated that she should just take the van I was assigned, and then I would take hers. We obviously, said no. It took an hour and 50 minutes to resolve the issues with the app and the staff. Apparently, the app times out and won't let you complete the process without calling Uhaul, but the app doesn't tell you that. The app sinply refreshes the screen you are on. This makes you think it is doing something, when it is not. Also, the lot on which the van was kept was PACKED with used cars and made it difficult to navigate when returning the van.

Who ever runs the U-Haul in old town Goleta California is so disorganized, Shady and unprofessional. He also has no customer service skills.

The clerk at this location wanted me to sign off on the gas and mileage and damage to the truck without letting me inspect the truck first, and insisted I sign before I even had a chance to look at the truck. He was very rude. I had reserved 2 furniture dollies, he only had one, when I said I wanted to be sure I wasn't getting charged for 2 he refused to say anything.

u-haul app needs to include info about cell/wifi coverage. We had several issues all related to using the app since we had trouble establishing a connection. All issues were resolved without problems.

I arrived on time and nobody was at the U-Haul location. I don't have a cell phone but a friend who came along to help did and called it. The owner (or whatever he is) finally showed up about 15 minutes later and then took a very long time to process my rental. He was rude and basically ignored me and my friend. As I started to leave, he said I could not park my car there even though there were spaces available and I would only be gone a couple of hours. I had to find a parking place blocks away in a residential zone and walk back to the U-Haul place so I could finally leave with the van. Horrible place, would NEVER, EVER recommend it to anyone.

Training in typing, speaking and overall customer service. My reservation was for 12-31-21 I was told not to come earlier than 11AM. I had movers at 11:30 When I arrived at 10:45AM there was a line of 5 people. I left at 11:59 my movers came and left. I had a truck and no movers. It was impossible to get movers. I call 818-988-7008 spoke with Stephanie I told her my predicament she told me to return the truck and reverse the entire charges of $156.40 Which I did at 2:11PM. The people at 5720 Hollister used my card without my authorization and charge $50.06 I have always rented from UHAUL with no problems. This was a very bad experience that is costing me a lot of money. I will like very much to speak with someone to be able to get help with this issue. I was not able to move. I still need a truck and have no money. Please help my cell # 805-259-7946

I selected Mobile Pickup for entering the car, and the barcode wasn't attached to the car. I searched for the barcode for 20 minutes under the direct sun while waiting on hold with the customer representative, no luck. Finally the owner of the place showed up and gave no attention to me even though I asked him if he could help me for additional 15 minutes. I stood there, waiting for someone (the manager and the uhaul customer service) to help me. Finally the owner of the location decided to process my documents half-heartedly, showing strong signs of either hatred or resentment towards me. So overall a feature you implemented for the convenience turned out to be inconvenient as hell. I had to have my friends wait and this delay shifted my whole days schedule.
