Truck mirrors could not be adjusted. The drivers seat was difficult to adjust, and for a 4 foot 10 inch woman, driving this vehicle was a huge challenge. It took almost an hour for the personnel to process the transaction, even though a reservation had been made. I was overcharged, not told of the mistake until checking my bank account.

FRANK CIt was a little disorganized when I arrived. They almost gave me the wrong truck. The only reason I chose this location was because U-Haul called and asked me to switch so I could drive a truck to a different location.

Let me state upfront I think the U-Haul website is not user-friendly in the least, and I usually just go to a location and do all the check-in work there because of that.This place didn't make that an option, and in addition to the time spent filling forms online, had to endure a equal amount of time to complete check-in at this location. The attendant was pleasant enough, but the place reaked of cigarette smoke. I ordered blankets, but getting to my destination, there were none in the truck, and I had to buy a couple to insure the stuff I was hauling did not get scratched (I see the charge was removed- good). I didn't get a print-out and didn't think too much about it until I wanted to gas up. My fault for not checking the gauge, but still...Returned with a full tank, and the attendant did say it was almost full at check-out.
JOHN BThere was a charge that I incurred that I did not receive (a dolly.) After receiving my bill I contacted UHAUL and the issue was taken care of. The customer service person was kind and efficient.

Jenna BNobody was there when I showed up at the time I reserved my moving truck. So I was late. When I dropped off, the person who rents the uhauls was not available either. So they couldn’t give me a receipt or tell me how much I owed. When I did get my receipt, after I left, they wound up adding a $15 insurance coverage that I didn’t want and specifically said I did t want when I reserved the truck. It’s not worth my time to dispute the charges and try and get my money back. But I will never go back to this location again, even though it is in my neighborhood and I rent uhauls frequently.

Denise MEnsure that insurance can't be added without the customers consent. I deliberately selected none since this was a small job and it was added during their check-in process without my knowledge or approval. That expense nearly doubled the cost of the rental and i don't appreciate it.

THOMAS FI was charged for fuel when I refilled it back to the same level I found it at and I was charged for 20 extra miles that I didn't drive. I was able to get these fixed on the bill but it was an annoyance. I also found out that the 10' trucks are not Ford but GMC and they have a shorter height on the rear door which caused me to be unable to load all the items.
SOVA NDo not charge cleaning fees. Clean up the site. There were no personnel physically on site in Portland as we used a Dropbox for after hours.

Maren SIf I had not called your main number for U-Haul to discuss if there was a closer place to pick up the truck after I made the initial reservation in September for Oct 6 move, I would not know that that location was a "temporary hold' (based on availability at time of making reservation). Luckily, I'd just seen the new location about 5 blocks from my rental and asked if I could pick up the truck there, and they said they would see if it was available, which it was for my date. That saved me maybe an hour drive both ways just to get the truck. Some where in your online info to make a reservation - you should make it clear about getting the closest pickup location, based on actual truck availability close to the move date -- which was explained to me when I called. Otherwise, everything went smooth, and I'm just now catching up with this email response. The woman at 'Good Garbage' was very nice & helpful.
Mary RWe did self return after dark. Location was poorly marked, and several Uhaul trucks were parked a block away confusing us further. The drop off box was difficult to find, and it was unclear where we were supposed to leave the truck. Perhaps this location would be better in the daylight; I would never return here unless I was confident I could return in the daytime.
