The site was unstaffed when I arrived so I had to wait 30 minutes to start the process. He supposedly had a different pick-up time in his system than what U-Haul communicated to me.William W.
My reservation was for an in-person check in. No one was at the office, I had to reach them on the phone. They instructed me to do the self check out in the app which had technical difficulties. I called the person back and they didn't answer, I left a voicemail and they never called back. I called other Uhaul rental locations in the area and one of those businesses called their Uhaul rep to help me over the phone. If the other company hadn't done that, I don't think I would have been able to get the Uhaul that day.Raven M.

These people ripped me off. I returned it on Sunday at 12 Noon and put the contract in the box (no one there). I uploaded pictures; and texted U Haul. They billed me for $28 as if I returned it on Monday morning at 9:30 am when they opened. I am furious. I opened a dispute with the U Haul 800 numberMayling E.

Both pick up and drop off locations were helpful and convenient. Uhaul as a company was attrocious and I will never use them again because of this. My reserved trailer was not available, making me drive 2 extra hours to get another, I was notified too late about the lack of availability. And other people had reserved the trailer as well. I rented a trailer. I was not provided any assitance in hooking it up to my car. The trailer light adapter also did not fit my car hookup. I had to buy an adapter after I left the facility as the U Haul rep had already left. The tires of the trailer were covered in mud so I couldn't see them. After the mud fell off from driving, I saw that one of the tires was completely bald and had to be replaced. I called U Haul and they came out and replaced the tire during my trip.James B.

I had reserved a hand truck with my rental and there was none. I was not informend ahead of time that further verification was needed and there was no one on the property to help with the rental. The U-Haul 800 number was rude and not very helpful..... it took about an hour to get the rental confirmed so I could get a truck...... an the truck was not swept out so it was something I neededmto do before I loaded it.Joseph D.

I was very disappointed with Uhaul changing my pick up location with out contacting me. Ed's Citgo station were rude and offered no help except the Uhaul phone number. When I arrived at Goodman's I had to wait around for 20 minutes for someone to show up in the office and help me.Bryan K.

No one was behind the desk and I had to wait 15 minutes. Then they offered no help what-so-ever with hooking up the trailer to my vehicle. When the lights on the trailer didn't work, I had to troubleshoot and figure it out myself. The uhaul worker just told me to go to a different location to get it checked out. Thank goodness I figured it out or I would have been driving a trailer with no blinkers.David D.

Terrible. The person we were dealing with did not know we were coming, and turned up 40 minutes late. He could not operate the U-Haul computer application and could not process the completion of the transaction. In the end we had to make another booking on our phone, and he told us he could not help us. The whole process took 2 hours from beginning to end. What a disappointment.Karen A.
We had originally reserved a truck to be picked up at your Absecon location. We made the reservation at the Garwood location. We drove there, almost 100 miles, only to be told that they did not have a truck for us - that someone had neglected to actually put the reservation in the computer, or something like that. We then drove to the Cape May Court House location, which took almost 45 minutes, because it it well off the beaten path. We then had to drive north again for another 30 minutes to get back to the Absecon area, which is where we needed to utilize the truck. I called your customer service on September 25 to complain about the situation and asked for some type of monetary compensation. The representative said that someone would get back to us in 72 hours. Person was rude and unfriendly. Cursed about the computer system not working properly. Never did a walkaround to check vehicle, empty water bottles inside cab, body needed to swept before we could use it, never inquired if I knew how to operate truck just drove away. I would not recommend U Haul as when I called on Friday to complain I was treated like I had done something wrong..JOE R.

The truck still had a queen size bed and box spring in the back of it, and 2 rolling rock beer caps in the cup holder of the cab. The back was never swept out, and had some trash and a lot of sand all over. I called Goodman storage and Uhaul customer service about it (Customer Action File Reference id: 1758092) I was told by Goodman storage that I could either return the truck (I needed it), dispose of the mattress myself (Why is that my responsibility?) or put it aside and return the items with the truck when I was done. I opted to put the bed aside and use the truck after sweeping it out well. When I was done, and ran back past my old home to pick up the box spring and mattress to return with the truck, I noticed a black speck on it. Upon further investigation, it was indeed a bed bug (I have a photo of it) This has been without a doubt my worst ever experience with Uhaul. I expect a full refund, or I will be disputing this with my credit card company. There was never a pre rental inspection of this filthy truck, or it would have been prevented.Bryan T.

Awesome people. Budget Truck Rental closed an hour earlier than our scheduled pick up which time and date was confirmed. We had no truck to move that night. Goodman's was glad to rent at last minute and we were relieved they were there ! We actually did not look for their name although are in a great location and easily accessible. The location that I was supposed to pick it up at. Did not have one. So I had to go out of my way to another place to get one. This Is the second time I had to do this. All the other places are closed. But the location I chose. U Haul had to call this place and asked them to reopen so I can get what I ordered. a larger truck was given to us than what we wanted. As a result too much space for furniture to move around and used up more gas. . It also took us 40 minutes to get all the bugs off the windshield before we could begin our trip.. the interior was clean. we were told that there was 7/8 gas in it. it was 50% full. the pick-up location was changed on me and I was never notified by the original location. It was only by luck that I checked my email on my tablet while I was on the ferry to see that it was changed. (I don't have a Smart phone) If I had not taken the ferry and driven straight through I would have gone to the original location which was very far from Goodmans. When I got to Goodman's they were closed but Faith left an emergency # and came over to help me. She was very helpful.DAWN H.

Staff extremely helpful. My complain t is with U-Haul Traffic, the team redirected me to a location 40 minutes away for pickup. Traffic does not pay attention to store hours so my 7:30 pickup was delayed until 9:00 When the store opened. My preferred location was selected because of the generous hours of operation. U-Haul Traffic showed no respect for my requested pickup time. The preferred pickup location had many trucks in the lot, but none were made available for my one way rental. Buyer beware as this business practice only benefits U-Haul forceing the consumer to adjust schedule and project completion.James B.

I left the poor paperwork I had only to receive a call the next day telling me I had not properly returned the vehicle with gas and my rental would remain open until I provide credit card information.
