This might have been the worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. Avoid.

Absolute disappointment, I don’t recommend u-haul at all, I have booked a truck for 24 hour window at one location, but on the day of the pickup, I received a notification that the pickup location has been changed but they are offered me a discount because of the inconvenience. I accepted the offer as it was for a lesser price per mile, and returned within 24 hours at the truck location. During the pickup I was charged more as the person spoke over the phone at the convenience store asked me how much mile would you drive approx, and I told 30 to 40 miles max. He charged me for that miles and told, I would get refund if I drove less. (it is not even a U-Haul location, it is just a convenience store operating one single truck). No one in that store is answerable nor understand English, there will be one guy who operates on call, and updates the information. The person in the store uses translator to communicate and no questions were answered. I Picked up at 6:27 pm and have returned the truck before the due time which is at 6:30 pm. After returning the keys to the store After returning the keys, the store keeper checked the truck, clicked a picture of the mileage reading and I was still there for 5 more minutes to confirm, if the truck return process has been initiated but was told, all god and everything is taken care by “manager”. After coming out of the store, I called the U-Haul customer care at 6:32 PM because I was not feeling right, and the representative told that the booking shows still active and they can’t know anything about the charges until the booking is updated. Later at night I received an email with the receipt, where I was charged extra amount after paying the charges. I noticed that I was charged for 2 days for no reason. I returned the truck before the dues time but in the final receipt, it was recorded at 7:16 pm, which is not. I also have the call record at 6:32 PM and literally unsure why was I charged extra. This location gave me the worst experience!!

I was charged for an extra trip while the truck was back on time, the manager wasn't there , was sleeping according the employee, so he charged an extra trip!

Check vehicle in when returned. Train staff on handling rentals.
