The pick-up locations was different than what I had signed up for online. No notification was given to me. No phone call the night before to clarify details (which the contracts said would happen). I had ordered 4-5 packages of pads, only one package was available. The hand truck I ordered was not available. I had to go to a different location to get more pads and a hand truck. The communication between online sign-up and the local company is very poor. If I hadn't checked on the location before I picked up the truck, I was have had a lot of extra traveling to do. One local agent basically said you couldn't depend much on the online service.Bruce G.

Would be helpful to have wind up attached jack to tongue of trailer to help with connecting and disconnect to truck . This would also help if you had to disconnect from truck while trailer is loaded.Herbert K.

I picked up the truck and trailer there, and this time the equivalent was there, the trailer had a bad landing leg, and I contacted roadside assist, and waited for a few hours, so I postponed the help to be at my location at 8 am, I had to contact roadside assist again, with another no show, so I managed to get the landing leg up, the leg didn't go down, so we dropped the auto transport at the destination. Overall not a good experience for the second time.Hector D.

This Grease Monkeys U-haul location has contract terms where money is potentially charged for damages at their discretion ALTHOUGH a collision damage waiver is paid. Shady and not acceptable. The terms for a â€˜collision damage waiver' is in conflict with any potential charges when there are damages. Customers are left to argue about it with a grease monkey. I won't be using this location again.Darrell J.

The equipment I rented was the worst I ever rented from Uhaul. It had over 135K on the odometer and felt like it. Although apparently mechanically sound, it felt old and worn out.JUSTIN K.

Truck was hard to steer straight. In need of an alignment. It was clean however. Also I was charged for fuel when I returned the truck back when same amount of gas that was there when I left.Sheronda J.

I rent a few uhauls per year and this is my new preferred rental location. Last 3 rentals at this location have all been a great experience.Vaughan L.
Because of the check out process, the check in process was a mess. The app wouldn't let me complete the self check in. And when the location personal attempted to help me, they said I was returning the equipment to the wrong location and wanted to charge me $1500 for a 2 day rental that I had already prepaid. They got on the phone with UHaul and fixed everything.James S.

I was not given any notice that my pick up location had changed from my original confirmation at time of booking. My new assigned location was 30 minutes away from the original booking and address. No one called to confirm 24hrs prior per website instructions so had I not logged in myself the day before, I would have gone to the wrong location. No equipment was ready in the truck per website description and to top it all, the equipment I had rented ahead of time during booking was not available and they tried to offer me a more expensive rental dolly. This location is in the most dangerous section of Ricmond. This was not where I had requested to pick up my equipment. Horrible experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful at this location...don't go there after dark...Michael R.

I tried using the app to check in and that didn't work so I had to use the website. That also didn't work so I went inside. The person working the counter mentioned the U-Haul site was trash and seemed to not know how to check me in. After way too much time, I finally got the keys only to find out that this was the SCARIEST truck I have ever rented from you all in the years of using your service. If I went any faster than 40mph the truck would start swerving right or left. The steering wheel was so hard to keep sturdy. My hands hurt from driving all day because of how tense I was trying to keep myself and my wife from dunningcarlos T.

I would not recommend using the self-service 24/7 pickup option. I was told my location could not be identified even though I enabled location services for the website. It was very frustrating. I had to go into Grease Monkey to get a key for the van. Thankfully they were open.Bob H.

The check engine light was on. The driver side visor was broken. I would suggest doing an inspection before a customer picks up the equipment. Signage could be improved too. The location is Grease Monkey but the equipment is next door.Joel S N.
