Initially I opted for virtual pickup however the app interface was clunky (requiring rentry of information) and required me to choose a different drop off location that I had previously selected. The store experience was great!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe UHaul rental app was initially excellent. It allowed us to get going early in the morning before the shop opened. The 'below average' rating is the result of equipment failure. We parked the 10' truck on the street in DC as we moved in furniture. At the end of the day when we were ready to leave, the battery was dead for no notable reason. We tried to use the UHaul app 'support' function to no avail. After several attempts with the app and waiting two and half hours for AAA, a kind stranger gave us a jump. We reached out to the local renter to discuss the issue and they gave us the UHaul 800 number. The corporate office said it was unfortunate but there was no way for them to compensate us for our inconvenience. The agent made no attempt to apologize for the issue, which would have been enough.
Michael HThe mileage reported on the contract was 100 miles less than the actual odometer reading. I didn't check it when I drove the truck home,but did check once truck was loaded to start the local trip. I wrote the discrepancy on the contract (store closed Sunday when returned) but still charged $133 additional for mileage. Dispute filed. Local trip, less than my 30 mule estimate. Waiting 3 days to hear back. I never had this issue with any car rental.Truck was great, we swept it out before returning.
