units must be available when you set up and not left up in the air because scheduleing dept moves units to another location. had to call hickory , nc 3 times to get original unit there rather than moved to another location.George M.

I was not notified in any way that my original pickup location didn't have the trailer I reserved. This location marked the trailer out the night before. I'd have been expected I get a text, email, or call telling me where I can pick it up. I spent another two hours figuring out where to go and driving around.Eric C.

I had to change to this location because where I needed to pick up the truck there were none available. Even though I made the reservation a month ago, U-Haul wanted me to drive an hour and a half out of my way to pick up a truck size I could not use. Whoever is doing the scheduling is not using practical logistics. The green Valley location was great. They told me that they had had customers drive five hours to come pick up the truck. I will question whether to use U-Haul in the future unless they come up with a better system for truck rentals. It caused ridiculous and unnecessary anxiety until I found the green valley Location. The one 800 U-Haul customer service was not helpful, did not offer apologies for the inconvenience. By switching to the Green Valley location I had to double my mileage which was also not convenient. However they gave excellent customer service and were very accommodating and like the one 800 number.Aimee L.

This review is not directed toward the locations but toward Uhaul in general. First we were very displeased with the overall service Uhaul offered for our move. Our reservation was placed two months in advance of our move and two days before we were to pick the vehicle up we were told there was no truck to be had. Then there was one and on Friday there wasnt one. Meaning the trucks were sold out from us twice. This is unacceptable and completely defeats the purpose of reservations. We had to drive an hour and a half out of our way to pick up a truck on a day that was already going to be challenging. The customer service agent also hung up on us which is also unacceptable. The truck was dirty and had old fast food wrappers and smelled. This is not acceptable even when we aren't in a pandemic. Will seriously consider never using your service again and passing the word to all friends and family to also no longer use your service. Again this has nothing to do wth the pickup and drop off locations. Those people were great. The issue is with your service and your corporate customer service and scheduling. Fix it.Stephanie S.

Clean the truck. A previous renter had clipped their finger nails and left the clippings in the passenger side arm rest. Nasty nasty nasty. The cargo area had not been swept out. The windshield leaks when raining. Pours water on your right leg when it's raining.Sean B.

Online estimate of charges for 10 ft truck $194 ($204 for 15ft truck) for 2-day rental; actual payment was $287.28. Didn't get much explanation of why the difference.... Was approved for 354 miles, actual mileage was 327, so that doesn't explain cost difference. Truck was clean and ran well/drove well considering the old mountain roads.Jesse B.
I reserved truck at my closest location only to be told I had to drive 45 minutes to a different location to pick up truck... and then upon returning truck the location I was told to take it says they were full and I had to drive to some other location to turn it in... and was charged for extra miles... Mike, the owner of the Uhaul company, was extremely understanding when bad weather caused us to need to keep the truck for a couple of days longer than expected . He was gracious and kind and did a great deal to help us out.lynn C.
Trailer was clean. I asked about tire pressure and was told it is checked when unit goes to large uhaul center. I checked tire pressure and found driver side tire at 35 psi and passenger side tire at 42. These were st trailer tires and should have been at or near full pressure of 65 psi. I doubt most customers would check and could drive on under inflated tires. All uhaul locations should have a pressure gauge and air compressor to make sure tires are properly inflated nefore putting a unit on the road. Other than that issue all else was just fine.Thomas B.

My UHaul experience was horrible! After driving for 54 minutes from my location, no one was there to check out the trailer. Uhaul gave me the wrong phone number. I called the number on the sign and all I got was leave a message. Called Uhaul, they could not reach the person either. So on to the next location, another hour away. i saw this trailer earlier but the sign on the store said closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. But UHaul insisted that they were open. So i went. It was closed. Called uhaul again. Luckily, they were able to locate the wife in the back of the store and I got the trailer. I had a 9 AM reservation for pickup and got a trailer at 12 Noon. Hours wasted. UHaul reservation guarantee says i will get $50 back. Still don't have that either. No one seems to know what they are doing. This is the shoddist run business that i have ever done business with. IF you can afford otther options run with it!!!!Linda G.
