Greg was a great guy. Enjoyed talking to him.
STEPHEN MI chose self-check in but the owner called me and said he doesn't do that. I had to come it when he was available. I already had labor scheduled and they had to wait on me and I had to pay them for that nothing. All he did was take a photo of my ID. I still had to do all the things in a self-check out using my phone. He told me, even bragged, that he had charged someone $200 to come in at 5:30am and check them out. What a scam!!! The truck was not fit to drive. It had been in an accident and the the box and frame were bent causing serious visibility issues, rattling and shaking of the truck AND DRIVER. The rear driver's side of the truck hung over the yellow lines unless I drove off the road on the right side!!! Check engine light was on the whole time and it was under powered compared to the same model of truck I rented a couple of weeks ago. Last thing, the back of the truck was filthy. Dirt and weird hairballs on the floor, stains running down the walls. I've used UHaul many times and this was by far the worst vehicle ever. I will consider another rental company next time.

SCOTT SHe can be more professional and be trained more on the computer system and not say you have to wait while I go help someone else because this is a one man show, when I was there first and had to come back after the computer system was down. The selection is also not good and the truck didn't run well. Made me not want to use U-Haul again

Stephanie GGreg was excellent. The first reservation was for a 9 am pick up at the Connections in Elkin. They did not have the reserve truck ready at P am and didnot open till 10 am. I called the number on the reservation and the lady was sable to secure me a truck at Greg service Center. Greg was there excellent.
mark yI rented a van to pick up a piece of furniture and it exceeded what I thought I would be driving. Greg at the service station where I rented was superior to work with. He made everything seem less!

Christopher SThe equipment was clean and fully operational. It is old, but used for local moves it is fine. The console was loose and had to be snapped into place but it did not affect the move at all. Greg is easy and great to work with.
Bonnie DI had the correct ball, hitch was correct level. However, the trailer slammed the ball on slowing and stopping. If this trailer had a number, I would never hook up to it again.

Tony RGreg Cockerham, manager, and Greg Hale, regional manager, were great to deal with and both are assets to the U-Haul team. They were compassionate and very supportive and understanding with medical situation during my rental. Definitely will recommend U-Haul Elkin, NC to my family and friends.

James BDoesn't get any better. Greg is organized and the truck was clean and I even actually got a lock chained to the truck (as it should be) with a key that worked. This is a gas station as well so easy to top off truck. Highly recommend Greg's Service Center.

Brian CMr. Greg is super professional and we like working with him and have on multiple occasionsover the years. The only issue we have is he had to be unexpectedly closed on our scheduled pick up day and we had to pay for the extra day, due to no fault of yours, ours or his. We believe UHaul could absorb that extra daily fee and improve their quality service that much more. I called corporate office regarding this, and the answer was an indisputable 'No'.
Donna NThey guy was very rude, did not walk with me to the truck to inspect it, handed me papers and said keys are in truck without telling me or showing me where the truck is. I almost drove off in the wrong truck before he ran me down. When I got in the truck it was on 1/8 of a tank of gas and I thought it was 1/4. I returned the truck thinking I was returning it with 1/2 a tank but then he told me it was only a 1/4 so I explained to him the situation of how it was on an 1/8 when I picked it up and he called me lair and started raising his voice at me. He was very unprofessional during the pick up and drop off process. He also convinced me it would be cheaper to return the truck to his place instead of the location I’m moving to but it ended up being $17 more expensive. Overall my experience with this location was not good at all. I will not be recommending it to anyone at all. The check in and check out process took way longer than it needed to and the guy was just overall rude and unprofessional.

Larry ADid the self-guided return. Website was not working properly to upload pictures. Finally finished return, nearly 4 hours before the time the truck was due back, and then was charged an additional day of rental for the truck despite the truck being returned on time. Will not be using U-Haul again in the future if I have the option.
Jared FI rented from the Elkin location several times before. The gentleman has always been nice. He has always checked over the trucks when I returned them. I just happened to drop this truck late at night.

Michaela PI rented and appliance dolly and the rubber on the back tread was completely gone. Without it half the functionality of the dolly is gone. Moving my appliances up and down stairs was severely impacted. It slowed down the move and put undue stress on our bodies.
