Explain that there is a key drop-off box if you extend your rental, if the store you picked up from is closed when you are ready to drop-off.
ANA RThe truck disgustingly dirty inside and out! It hasn’t been cleaned in many months. Spilt sugary drinks, food crumbs, dust, dirt and the windows big build up of dirt and grime. It’s beyond me how you can rent a truck out to a customer in this shape. It’s clear that you don’t have any respect for your customers.

victor aMy only complaint was the equipment did not appear to have been cleaned before hand. However, the truck itself performed phenomenally. The staff at GS Heplers was very nice and polite. They were quick and made a very tough move just a little bit easier.
Patrick OMy issue isn’t with this particular site. I had reserved a 15 foot truck on August 3 for August 29 and I wanted the truck for two days when I went to go pick it up. They could only offer me a 10 foot which caused my whole move to be messed right up. I was able to get a truck for one day and then had to scramble again the next day to get another vehicle. I’m honestly not sure I would recommend U-Haul in general to my friends or family and not I’m not sure if I’ll ever use them again.

Robert VNot necessarily a problem with this location but my whole process with U-Haul was difficult. When putting in a request to extend use of a truck, my location was changed without asking me and the equipment I needed was dropped because the new location didn't have it. I was injured and needed the equipment chosen which is why I chose the previous location. Someone did try to call me about the change, but when I didn't immediately answer they made the change without discussing first. It took me hours of calls to U-Haul, different locations, etc to try to get my order back to the way it was originally. Thankfully there was one person who helped me and ended up securing everything I needed at the original. Location including extra time , but location and equipment were the most important. I understand locations function separately but with a universal booking system making changes shouldn't have been this hard. The online portal wouldn't let me swap back my order, and people constantly talked about not being able to help because their hands were tied. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and I nearly cancelled and went with a different company.

Darin BTrailer had to be lifted off ball hitch and was quite heavy, i Trailer had to be lifted onto ball hitch and was quite heavy install a tongue jack to make this easier

Roger CI’m glad I made the drop off before it closed. The one staff on seemed very busy dealing with a couple people ahead of me. He came to me shortly after and said I was all good to go home and there was nothing outstanding. I ended up returning the truck with a full tank of gas to be safe. When I was walking away I saw him dealing with a very aggressive customer. It seemed this customer was returning a very large truck to this location and he wasn’t supposed to be dropping it off there. He wasn’t listening to the staff at all and seemed to be very entitled to drop it there as it “ wasn’t his problem” . I hope this customer got charged for his error and banned from renting U-Haul again for the way he was treating your staff!

Dale CThe trucks fuel gage lagged. When putting gas in the truck the needle didn’t move causing me to overfill the gas. Make the trucks required to be returned full and if it isn’t when picked up difference should be paid back.

Ian MLocation was fine. Booked a 20ft truck a month early just to be told the day before pickup I was getting a 15ft. Caused us to make 3 extra trips at 50kms each and wouldn’t waive the $0.60/km charge for extra kms. Check engine light came and went several times and the truck leaked water through the seatbelt retractor whenever it rained (which was every day for 5 days straight). I will use Budget next time. Staff was fantastic and the only reason it’s not 1 star.
Jeff FMy van had a rusted door which made getting it open and closed very difficult. One of the windshield wipers was broken and we were driving through severe thunderstorms in Alberta. We replaced that at our own cost.
