I got there at 9 and the place didn’t open till 10. Stood there for an hour (called the help line and a lovely person tried to get in contact with location leadership and couldn’t. Overall U-Haul did what they could to help, but location sucked)”. Once people did arrive they handed me the keys and walked away. There were loose dollies in the truck and a pile of used moving pads. The weather stripping around the driver side door fell off when I opened it. I tucked it back to the best of my ability. It fell off every time I opened the door. I caught my foot on it at one point getting out and almost fell. I stopped replacing it and shoved it under the seat as well as I could the 4th time it fell off. The drop off process seemed long and arduous, especially knowing what condition I found it in. Nobody rents a U-Haul for fun. It’s to move oversized shit and the day anyone rents it is most likely going to suck for them. I find it wholly unacceptable that the pickup and drop off process are so poorly done, knowing that people are going to have a hard enough day when they rent your equipment. I know you have the truck rental market cornered and people are going to need to use you regardless of your lack of organization or customer service (locally, lady on the phone tried to help and was great), but yesterdays experience seemingly flaunted that point. I was very dissapointed.

Using the app was convenient, but a little convoluted. Streamlining that would be helpful, should be considered that not everyone is that text savvy. Someone on site should be adapt at providing assistance.
