My only problem was they did not have the two dozen furniture pads that I had ordered. They were able to provide 16 and identified other locations that I could get additional pads if needed. As it turned out the amount provided was all I needed. The truck itself with over 120,000 miles made the drive from Atlanta to Savannah with ease.

I waited almost 30 minutes while the lady talked/text on her phone and helped other incoming customers at this convenience store. I had already rented 2 previous Uhauls this week while moving so I was familiar with the process and asked if I needed to check in on my phone. She said I did not. After waiting another 20 mins, she quoted me a price that was $30 over what I ended up paying. I told her that was incorrect and she then said to check in on my phone. After completing that in 3 mins, I was handed the key. The vehicle was parked around the back of the convenience store, in an unsafe area, very close to other Uhauls, rendering it difficult to drive in and out. I returned the vehicle within 6.5 hours and was told to park in the back. I told a male employee it was dark in the rear, I felt unsafe and there was no lighting. His reply was that there were cameras and he couldn’t go back there with me. I would never rent or recommend a Uhaul from this location again.

The staff was cordial. Even though the drop off was at gas station, a larger sign alerting customers of the UHAUL service would be nice.

Equipment was not clean inside. There was a water bottle, microfiber towel, and papers in the driver door pocket. There were what appeared to be chunks of chocolate cake or brownie crumbs in the cup holder area. There were signs of a rodent in the cab of the truck, seat foam on the floor at the base of the seat like something was nesting up under the seat. There were food wrappers on the floor, and gray fur in the crevices of the floor. The cargo compartment was not swept out thoroughly. I considered canceling the truck due to safety concerns. A rodent coming out while driving could cause an accident. The equipment ran well, the lady inside the gas station was pleasant at pick up, and the man inside the gas station at drop off was friendly.

Informed store personnel that brakes are scrubbing VERY BAD & that there is a problem with the transmission/rear end. When braking, the truck does not want to stop. My opinion? This truck needs to be put out of commission until it is safe to operate. Roadside assistance had to come change the left outside tire because it was flat when I picked it up. Didn't know it until I started loading my belongings in it and saw that it was looking slack. But, Roadside Assistance was there in a VERY short time & had it fixed in within 10 mins. Tne store pickup location was no help at all when picking up & dropping off. And I was told that they have no other equipment but the trucks & trailers. No dollies or furniture dollies, or blankets, & etc. They did not have the truck that was originally reserved for me (even though the system was showing it on hand) so the UHAUL Customer Service had to redo my my entire reservation to show the different equipment & I had to do the self check in because the store personnel did not want to take the time to do it because they would have had to make them other customers wait. It took me over 1&1/2 hours to actually get the rental. DEFINITELY WILL NOT USE THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN

If not for the one uhaul truck that was there, I would not have known it was a uhaul drop off. I would have kept driving around looking for it. Only locals would know this was a uhaul spot. Out of town people would be confused. The lady at the counter was not helpful at all.

Have the vehicle ready, at the scheduled time of pick up. Automate the system. I did not like to have my credit card # being verbally relayed over the phone. Have the truck out front of the building instead of un the back. Have the vehicle staged for appropriate move as opposed to being parked between two other trucks. CLEAN up the surrounding area.

The process to obtain a truck is inadequate…the cashier (Ms. P) must call her boss for him to confirm/approve the rental. She explained to me it’s because this location does not have the Uhaul tablet to view confirmations of rentals. When I arrived there were 2 other customers waiting for the boss to approve their rental. The wait time of this process caused customers to become angry/yelling. The overall experience was unbelievable!

When I went to the reservation location at a local storage facility as stated in my reservation and pressed the "Ready to pickup" button in the app, the loading icon appeared for a few seconds before the page froze. I restarted the app twice and had the same issue. I then went onto the website and logged in to check on my reservation, but I couldn't find my reservation info anywhere on the page or menu options until I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page. When I finally found my reservation, i found out that the location was at the local storage facility until I started the pickup process, and then saw that the address changed to a different gas station, so I was already late to pickup my truck, which frustrated me since we had to drive a long distance on a time crunch. When I went to the gas station, the app finally worked, but I didn't know that there was going to be an identification section where you needed 2 alternative contacts or a passport to reach out to if you delay returning your truck. I wish this was disclosed earlier in the process because people normally don't drive around with their passports or can find people to answer their phones last minute. If I had known this earlier, I would have probably chosen to do counter service instead to not deal with this hassle.

Watch for ants. They were everywhere crawling in and outside of truck especially on passenger side. I sprayed a lot. And during check in if it's 7:30 just say 8:00 bc I couldn't check in via the app until that time. The workers on hand was ready to go.

When I went to pick up the uhaul, there was aman sleeping inside of the cab with an open beer, the inside smelled of weed and cigarette smoke, none of the moving blankets I ordered were there either. It took over an hour to get the vehicle which pushed back my whole day of moving.

They over charge me. I didn’t even drive 100 miles and I filled up the gas to half of tank I have the proof, they over charge me 64$, I will be seeking legal actions based on my pictures and video on how I was treated at the Hampton chevron Uhual.

The truck was very dirty from the windows to the windshield was horrible you could barely see. The inside of the truck was a little dirty. The locations who gets these trucks need to wash window so people can see. Other than that everything was fine.

The gas station attendant didn’t seem to know or understand the process of dropping off the vehicle. We had to park it in the back of the gas station near dumpsters. There was trash everywhere…even old couches. If I were picking up, I wouldn’t have used this location. I have used u-haul several times before, but this was the worst experience yet.

Once I checked in to pick up my one way truck to Gainesville, GA I found out that the lady set my return destination 30 minutes away from Gainesville! Once I told, her she said that was the default destination picked by uHaul (hard to believe) and I just had to call them to fix it. Once I get in the truck, things got worst. The tank was supposed to be half full and it wasn't and the mileage was wrong... I was able to fix some of the above problems after a call with uHaul, which on moving day, just added unnecessary stress. Do yourself a favor and pick a different location.

Make sure that there is a complimentary pack of disinfectant wipes and or hand sanitizer available for customers. This would suffice as we are a society who are more cautious than of functioning on a safe and clean environment. Also maybe someone(s) can conduct a monthly or weekly deep cleaning of the cab of the U-Haul truck. This would improve the overall experience and expectations of a client who rents a U-Haul vehicle.

In April 12th I was returning a car carrier that I rented from you and on the way to your store I called and reserved a 26 ft truck at the Avalon Pkwy location. When I arrived I was informed that they did not have one available after the agent I had spoken to assured me there was. The lady there found another locally about 15 minutes away. Upon arrival at that location I was told that I would have to wait for 20 minutes until someone text him back as to which truck to give me when there was only one 26ft on the lot. I waited for 25 minutes and the clerk at the Chevron handed me his cell phone and told me I needed to give my credit card info to the person on the other end of the phone. I felt uncomfortable giving my personal info to a complete stranger over a phone but I had already wasted an hour trying to get this truck so I did. I gave him the info and he told me to hand the phone back to the clerk at which point he handed me the keys and said have a nice day. They never gave me instructions nor offered me insurance, just have a nice day. Feeling a bit uneasy still I took it upon myself to take pictures of the vehicle before I even moved it. I signed in to my uhaul acct and noticed they had the gas gauge documented at 3/4 of a tank when in actuality it was a little over 1/2 (see attached photos)mileage 32713. I walked back inside and told the clerk and he said to not worry about it that I would not be charged for the mistake. Before I returned the truck I replaced the gas to where it was and then added another $15 on top of that just to make sure there would be no problem. (Again see attached photo) mileage 32754 and as you can plainly see I put more than was in it originally. I received my receipt in my email and sure enough they charged me $47 for gas. I rent from you guys all the time but this was the most unprofessional place I have ever visited. I spoke to my attorney and he advised to write you first which I am doing and see if you can resolve this matter before I move forward. I am not one who usually complains but this is an outright crook that you have representing your business and I refuse to be taken advantage of by you or this other person. In the back of a chevron station. Clean the truck, wash the truck and have gas in the truck. When I entered the truck it said "4 miles to empty". I have a photo is proof is needed.

Truck was mechanically in good condition. Half a tank of gas was sufficient and I refilled what little I used (10miles) but the interior not clean. Used bottle of water in the floorboard, sticky residue over most of the drink holders in the center console area. I expected it to be cleaner as I was expected to return it clean. Lady at the convenience store didn’t speak English and made check out difficult. Luckily there was a nice gentleman there to help me. He brought the truck around and helped me do the online checkout on my phone. Not a difficult process but definitely pay attention. Somehow I added “Safe move” to my order which I did not need/want which added $14 dollars to my rental. I would recommend going 2 miles west and using the major U-Haul site at Avalon Way. Also, I wanted to rent a furniture dolly which I added to my order and when I arrived, it was not available at their site. It was not charged to my final bill but I really could have used it in my move and would have been worth the $7 it cost.

The cargo area was clean but up front in the driver area needed cleaning and sanitized. The seats and steering wheel was sticky, and cabin smelt of smoke. In such a time hand wipes should have been provided.

The entire experience with the exception of the two locations that called to inform me that they did not have the equipment I ordered online and the two call staff who I spoke to the evening when I found out I could NOT drop off the equipment at the location I identified when making my online reservations. That was the initial inbound call staff and the scheduler I waited 45 minutes online to speak with. The gas station where I was finally able to pick up the equipment was the absolute WORST customer service I’ve EVER experienced in the 45 years of using UHAUL! I don’t think she could understand or speak much English. UHaul’s “24/7” idea is the most stressful to the customer! I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE UHAUL! Guaranteed!

I waited over 30 minutes for the clerk to verify me and get me my U-Haul. She took several customers that were behind me and was waiting for someone to either come back with the U-Haul or clean the U-Haul out which should have been done prior to me getting it. I would 100% not recommend this location to a friend. Quite frankly all of the gas station locations in the area are subpar.

Waited for over 45 minutes to get the truck and when he gave me the truck he handed me the keys and said here you go and I had to jockey the trucks out from each other and when I received the truck I told him about the service engine light was on. The guy told me that it was ok to use with the light on.
