It was supposed to be contactless, but they kept adding more steps to give me the keys. They wanted me to check in the vehicle, which included adding the mileage in the app before giving me the keys. It took 30 minutes to get the keys. The staff finally said "just take the keys" and gave them to me after I explained I can't confirm the mileage in the vehicle without having access to the vehicle. Apparently they were talking to the owner who was adding extra steps before giving the customer the keys.

I just drove about 110 miles and I am being charged for 280 miles, and they say they can’t find the pick up photos, so there is now way to verify. An extra $270 down the drain.

When I went to pick up my reserved U-Haul truck, the lady at the counter at Handy Pantry had no idea what I was talking about. After asking around and a call to the manager, she was able to check me in and hand me the keys. When I returned last that day, the kid at the register, again, had no idea what I was talking about. He took the keys and didn't provide any type of confirmation to me for dropping off the truck. After 3 days and many phone calls to Handy Pantry, the manager checked my rental in. Until then, I was in the dark. Not to mention that the initial location I reserved the truck at was closed and U-Haul had to find me a different location at the last minute. This business is not run well and their dealers are either clueless or totally incompetent.
