I was charged extra money from this location because when I dropped off the uhaul there were a group of thugs standing by drop box and I was too nervous to walk near them si I waiting until the morning which charged me for another day even tho the truck was thereAmber C.

I needed a 24 rental they told me no you can have it for 6 hours because someone is getting it early. Then called me to ask if I wanted it another day but they'll charge me. I rode post multiple times the next day and the truck wasn't rented out. When I returned the truck he said it belongs on 3/4 tank. It was on that exactly on and they charged me $5 gas. I would not recommend that any customer come here to go to the bathroom, let alone purchase anything, or drop off a U-Haul truck!! The clerk was blatantly rude, unhelpful, and flat-out told me that he didn't care if I gave a negative review of him/his location and he didn't care if I was upset. He literally said, "Go ahead & give us a bad review to U-Haul, I don't care." he threatened to charge us an extra $25 if we didn't unload everything out of the truck, bring it in, & specifically put the blankets in the bag provided... this after about 10 minutes of deciding what they actually wanted us to do with said blankets. And when I use the word "threaten" I mean that specifically. If this had been my ONLY experience with U-Haul I would NEVER rent a U-Haul truck again. Luckily you had Tom on the other end at Advanced Auto in Lake Villa who was the polar opposite of this person. Also, we would like to know: In all our years of renting U-Haul trucks we have never had to remove all of the dollies we rented and all of the blankets we rented. Is this customary now?? We had to remove the dollies and walk them all the way around the building & into the building, & bring all of the blankets into the building, fold them up as best we could, and cram them into a plastic bag... All being done ourselves with absolutely no assistance whatsoever & being yelled at when we didn't put them where they wanted them, although no instructions were given at the start. POOREST customer service we have ever experienced. You really should consider just eliminating this particular stop from your U-Haul rental locations. You have so many in Kenosha we could have gone to that having this place gone would make no difference whatsoever, other than to keep other customers from having such an unpleasurable experience. In addition to my comments here I plan to write and file a formal complaint to U-haul Corporate against this location and its personnel for their obnoxious, demeaning behavior. We are just appalled that these people are being allowed to represent U-Haul! We are loyal to your company & only rent trucks from you. We are hoping this unfortunate incident is not the direction that U-Haul is going in, but rather an isolated one.Scott M.

I originally reserved a truck in Waukesha,WI. I received an alert that i needed to go to Kenosha,WI to pick it up. 1.) Passenger side mirror had no set screw to hold the mirror in place. It just spun around. With no mirror it is difficult to drive three hours away. Had to stop for duct tape, but that did not work out very well either. 2.) The truck had a severe pull to the right. I could not take my hands off the wheel at all. 3.) Pick-up location was a Mobil gas station with one clerk on duty. Not very helpful and very busy with gas customers.Anthony M.

They made it more complicated then it needed to be. It is better to just use a uhaul facility instead of a "mobile spot". I did not prefer the location set up. You had to verify someone I knew of which did not answer his phone. I do not understand why that was needed in the first place.Krystle H.

Why are you charging me for gas and a fuel fee? I bought $29 worth of gas at your station and the fuel gauge registered slightly more than a quarter tank. Then you also have the gall to charge me a "cleaning" fee? The truck had dirt all over the floor when it was given to me. The equipment was dirty and not fully fueled, and it is a gas station. They kept the furniture pads in a back room in their store, and just handed them to me and had me carry them all of the way through their store. I had to lift them over all of their displays and got them caught on their displays multiple times. Then they did not have the dolly on my reservation which was fine but then they didn't remove the charges for it, so now I have to sit on hold with Uhaul customer service.Justin S.

Rental location was AWFUL!!!! Had to speak to someonenover the phone because the gas station attendant didnt speak english. Placed the order for my truck inline and did not want the insurance. Guy at the gas station took the money out of my account for insurance out anyways AFTER without telling me. No contract was gone over with us. No one was there to speak and go over the truck with us in person. Now my bank account is negative because he took out more than I had in there. There was some confusion at this location as the UHaul online site was down and they could not process us...this made me extremely nervous since we had a very small window to complete our move, and there was someone else in front of us for the same. I have to say that the on-site clerk stepped up! After only a few minutes, he ended up calling the UHaul people and they processed us by phone so we could get on the road. Such relief!Erik J.

Making reservations with uhaul sucks!! They do not understand â€œreservationâ€ , nor do they understand repeat customers and customer service!! I have been getting trucks for about 5 weekends and every time I'm promised a truck size I don't get it. I'm always on the short end and it doesn't matter to them what arrangements or number of trips I gotta deal with because they don't seem to understand my needs and could care less. I had a truck reserved for today a 20 footer but ended up with a ten footer????? Are you kidding me , now triple the trips, triple the gas etc...I asked the lady on the phone to speak to a superior, and she said she was it â€œBSâ€ ! Then the run around about certain trucks are only one way ?????? Unreal !!! So again a customer renting weekly versus one time a year is more important, whoever set up this biz model has no clue what is going on!!! The folks at the actual dealerships are great, but they are caught in the middle of this ridiculous set up for rentals. !!!! Very disappointed and I'm seeking a better company to handle my needs !!Dale J.

This location is very poorly managed. I signed up for a 7pm pick up and had to wait for 30 minutes while the manager who went home had to "verify" my order. I was initially told that I couldn't even pick up the vehicle I had rented online. This was a terrible customer experience, and not only will I never go to this location again, I will think twice before using Uhaul.Jordan S.
