Even though I had made a reservation a week in advance, there was no equipment at the reserved location. This habitual practice is totally unacceptable. This cost me a 3 hour round trip to pickup from another location. This is now TWICE in a row with U-Haul. NEVER AGAIN!!!Joseph J.

I think as a company you need to update your policy on the posted speed limits set for your trailers. With highway speeds set to 70 MPH and you have your trailers set to 55 I felt like I was going to get run over or crashed into from behind at such a slow speed. So no I would not rent from UHAUL again. It did not feel safe at that speed while all were maintaining the posted speed limit of 65-70 on the freeway.Bob S.

To far from my house and UHaul didn't allow enough miles to drive to the truck pick up shop, drive it home to Bluffton and drive it to Jacksonville. Didn't allow for the 22 milesSalvatore Z.

Fair amount of inventory available at this location (trucks, trailers, and car haulers). Only vendor within 25 miles of my residence that is still accepting drop-offs of trailers or car haulers. Had to drive to 3 different U-haul locations more than 20 miles apart before finding a place that was still accepting drop-offs of car haulers. U-haul corporate office (called toll free number multiple times) and 2 local vendors were not on the same page as to the local vendor's current policy of not accepting car hauler drop-offs.TIMOTHY M.

Charged me wrong drop off fee. Uhaul sent me drop destination which last time refused drop off saying she has too many and why would u haul send me here. Well uhaul did again by sending me to 159 s Green in Ridgeland. I dont feel I owe you $3.27 for u haul's constant error. Why would I drive 40 miles to and from a location then get yelled at by the store owner?SUSAN T.
Was very disappointed that there were not any local drop-offs that were taking trailers even though we have 3 or 4 locations within a couple mile radius. Had to go to a location an hour away round trip and it was after hours. We lucked out and the owner was there and was very helpful and pleasant to work with.COLLEEN B.
Not open on Monday? I wasn't notified of this until the day before. The pick up by smart phone system is not easy to use. It was difficult to navigate because it didn't explain clearly how I could correct the error message.Terrance L.

Close your North east locations! The worst experience I have ever had! And I used Uhaul years ago and it was fine!! This was horrible I had a reservation for a moving truck only to be told last minute there was no chance of getting one in NJ!!! I was going to be driving 18 hours to move and was told Id have to travel to NY or PA to get my truck!!! Luckily Penske came thru for me! Then I needed a trailor ..the night before I was getting it IM told there were None in NJ anywhere! I had to travel 5 hours round trip and was told It was first come first serve basis to pick it up and it was filthy !!! I had a receipt from Uhaul Web Site which totaled $308 dollars And was charged $428 upon pick up! When I asked the Guy why so much and showed him my receipt he told me that was only an estimate and when the destination is added it increases the charge ! The destination was put in when I made the reservation!!! HORRIBLE doesn't even touch what a night mare this whole ordeal was!!! Uhaul made what should have been a happy and memorable experience a living hell!!! I am a Realtor I will make sure to tell all my clients DO Not Use UHAUL....VINCENT M.

Chains, straps and hook system wasn't put on correctly or safely after I specifically stated that I have never put them on before and needed it done correctly due to the very long 1,800 mile trip. Less than 2 hours down the road, chains loose or broken and the straps where put on incorrectly. Called U-Haul Roadside Assistance while in Tupelo, MS and the Representative was located in Phoenix, AZ. She was very helpful and after a long wait my vehicle was finally ready. I made it to my destination. While turning in the Truck and Tow we realized that the chain was broken again and one of the straps was still loose. Thank those who assisted me along the way. Ensure that all employee's are trained on how to hook up towing and make sure that they tell customers HOW to do it correctly.Terry M.

Horrible representation of UHAUL. Zero customer service. The employee/vendor/merchant/dealer/etc. cursed at me for calling to ask a question due to confusion. I was given the contact number if I had any questions but he/she took offense. After speaking with two groups via phone from customer service and the traffic control department (for 30 minutes each) there was NOTHING done to redeem the situation. It was apparent that there are internal issues between the merchant and the company. The teams finger pointed at one of another and admitted fault of the others yet no one would accept responsibility for UHAUL as a whole. There should be a minimum level of customer service that includes protecting a customer from being cursed out and provides care when the customer is disrespected when in contact with the brand. As a last step, I was told that the Field Manager/Director was going to contact me regarding the customer action file/claim directly. No one has followed up with me and we are 2 business days from the last conversation. To allow a customer to be disrespected due to internal miscommunication is unacceptable and I will be sure to dissuade others from supporting UHAUL in the future so they do not run into the same situation.Jalen H.

We reserved a trailer from the Hilton Head location, and without advising us moved our reservation to a location30 miles away. Also, we wanted to load the trailer the night before but it rained and the trailer leaked, so when the rain stopped we had to sweep out and mop up all of the rainwater. UNACCEPTABLE had we loaded the trailer earlier our furniture would have been ruined.Meg Z.
