The older male employee at Hardeeville location was dismissive, rude and unprofessional. He spoke as if I was incompetent when asking questions regarding the process of renting and his overall demeanor was outright disgusting. I was charged an extra day despite returning the vehicle before 8:30am along with additional fees and I have yet to receive the original contract I signed through email! I will never rent from this location again and I strongly believe he needs to be reported due to his unprofessionalism

Richard GI waited over an hour because I was told the U-haul database was down. This delay soured the start of my day and affected my schedule in a negative way. The person that took care of me was helpful attaching the trailer to my car.
Robert FMoving pads smelled horrible like cigarettes. The truck was extremely dirty inside where we had to load our bed and personal belongings. We forgot one of the moving pads when we returned truck and the employee said he has to charge us for another day of truck rental because it was past 24 hours. Which we brought the moving pad back and he charged us $30 for an extra day of truck rental. Very poor customer service and filthy equipment

Gregory LNot having a real-live person present makes the DIY-Mover have to work even harder just to have to *PAY* U-Haul for the physical effort of renting moving equipment. Great business plan for y'all, but rotten for helping the employment numbers and for those having to rent from you.

Deven TI was charged for items I did not reserve or use and the person at uhaul asked me about it twice, when I picked up the truck and when I brought it back. He indicated it was removed from my bill and when I received my receipt via email they were charged to me.

Serena KUsing GPS the location is somewhat hidden so when I called to ask for directions I was literally yelled at by a man telling me where to go. He cut me off mid sentence. Then 2 minutes later when we pulled in he was standing out side and forcefully poined where we should park. Didn't ask our name, say hi or anything just started removing the trailer from our hitch. Not a pleasant experience at all. Perhaps make a sign people can see from the road, because you can't see any of the trailers.
JEFFREY SReservation for one-way vehicle was cancelled 24 hrs prior to pickup even though I reserved it a week in advance. I was upgraded to a larger vehicle but had to drive an extra 180+ miles to return it to the same place (Bluffton SC) costing me an extra $230 because they wouldn't allow me to drop it off in Columbia SC. $230 EXTRA due to mileage and 6 EXTRA HOURS drive time from Columbia to Bluffton and back to Columbia! I am HIGHLY disappointed! I WAS ONLY OFFERED $50 FOR MY INCONVENIENCE.

RANDAL WLocation is basically a small engine repair shop. Manager (or owner) was not very friendly and close to being outright rude. Will not rent from here again.
Rick DAirbag alarm was showing and my driver refused to drive the truck without an airbag so I had to rent a truck from another location, unload this entire truck and return it.

William AThe guy at the location was an asshole. Acted like it was a major inconvenience to rent me a truck for an hour. I rushed to get it back to him before closing and put more gas in it than I used and he told me as long as it was full, even though it wasn’t when I picked it up. I drove 20 miles. Just piss poor customer service from this guy, probably because he is the only U-Haul renter around and knows he can treat people this way.
MICHAEL BThe U Haul was closed on Monday when we rented the van. So we had to do the self pick up and return using the U Haul app which was not so clear and easy. The van was fine but we had to call U Haul both when picking up and dropping off as the U Haul app wasn't clear and very easy to use.

HERNAN MTruck needed an alignment and we spent over 500$ on a one day trip to NC. After they had told us it was going to be 398$, never using UhAul again.

Political merchandise everywhere and we could tell that the bad service was due to his bias against my boyfriend who is black. He seemed agitated used a stern voice and rude tone with me when I had very simple questions about payment and how to complete check in. When we returned the truck he argued with us and yelled at my boyfriend. I do NOT recommend this location to anyone, you are better off picking up in Savannah or Bluffton where you will actually receive good customer service and a kind interaction. His behavior was disgusting.

richard kRepresentative was off putting, not friendly. Began by questioning my age and lecturing me on how the truck I was renting was his. Did not explain what was going on throughout the pickup process took my card and charged without telling me a total or what he was even charging me for.
ANDRES MThis location was very hard to access and find, but we finally found it. It was closed when we got there, but the instructions on how to leave the truck were very clear.
Tina PTrailer lights did not work had to drive at night it was a nightmare.. Luckily nobody slammed into me… trailer had dirt inside not swept out. Very disappointed after I’m a longtime customer.
