The drop off location was supposed to be:Mr Cars LLC 5315 Lawndale St Bldg D Houston, TX 77023, but that doesn't exist anymore, and I had to drive to 3 different locations and they wouldn't accept the trailer. Finally got to this location, the person was really rude. Also during all this time I was waiting for someone from Uhaul to get help, but it took more than 40 minutes to get an answer.MARK M.

They opened an hour late (11am) on Sunday 1.24.21 then he couldn't pull up my national account reservation (22586230) I wasted 2.5 hours trying to get my truck. I had to cancel the reservation and pay with my credit card. He told me I would only be charged half rate on the truck. When I filled out the forms I specifically said no to the safe move fee (14.00) when I returned the truck he refused to check me in said he was alone and couldn't go out to check it in. The following morning I received the receipt which was the full fee and the 14.00 fee. I called to dispute the charges and I was sent to numerous people then they sent me to our national account salesman I left a message and never heard from anyone. Service was extremely slow is an understatement. Although I was the first in line, cashier had me wait while he checked out 8 different patrons before completing my reservation. Meanwhile, a fuel line at the gas station where I rented the truck broke off in the middle of someone getting gas. Gas was gushing all over the place. Cashiers only response was â€œoh fuck!â€ I had to remind him to turn of the gas line. One of those, â€œcan't make this shit upâ€ moments. Guy is completely incompetent. The fact that he's managed to keep himself alive this long is a fucking miracle. Had any other place been available to rent a truck I certainly would have gone elsewhere. Two thumbs down. Do not recommend. Dislike button. Zero stars. Hated it. Wouldn't go back even if you paid me.Nick K.

The pickup took a long time, with the staff handling other Uhaul customers and regular gas station convenience store customers. There were no furniture blankets and furniture dollies, and I reserved both online, no one told me those would not be available at any time before I pick up the truck, I would have prepared for it if I knew those would not be available. My reservation was changed from a place close to my house to another one much further, which increase the miles drove with the truck, and increased my charges. This was very upsetting.marcio P.

I created the reservation for this rental a month in advance. There was no need to change anything, but the owner here altered my reservation. He changed the drop off location from Austin to a town over a hundred miles away from Austin, without my knowledge. When I dropped the Uhaul off where I had designated originally, in Austin, they almost charged me a $600 wrong return location fee. Based on other reviews of this location i've seen, this is a recurring problem here!Braniff D.

The most janky uhaul experience of my life!! I reserved a 20â€ for $128 online, once I got there the corner store clerk asked me for $280!!! He was of no help complete poor customer service. I then called the 1888 number and payed through the system over the phone with a representative. She the got me to $160!? I was in such a rush I said that's fine and went with it. This is not the best part of town.. There were a lot of homeless people wondering this establishment. Also the gentleman whom helped me took over an hour to process this request, it was only after I called customer service that he was able to complete the process..I had originally reserved a unit on 1960 and I-45, Uhaul changed it to location 22 miles away..WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF THE RESERVATION? I was scheduled to pick up at Louisiana location in Houston. They changed it to A small gas station on Harrisburg. It was not even a uhaul station. It was not professional. I understand this is a small service station that rent/owns a few trucks which is why the customer service should be really good. While he serviced us he was having a phone conversation and he never got off the phone for a personal acknowledgment. We asked about the damage on the truck and he said if you see an x near the damage that means we already know the damage is there. We looked for the x and didn't see any near the damage. We were on a time schedule and did not have time to locate another Uhaul rental facility so we used their services hoping that we wouldn't have any issues on return.banks M.

I was charged $24.00 for gas. I picked up the truck on Empty in Baton Rouge...range of 13 miles. I dropped off truck with almost 1/4 tank and charged for fuel. If my credit card is not credited back within 24 hours, I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.COLLIN C.

there were broken bottles in the parking lot, trash everywhere & he made me move the truck & park it in a very difficult place 3 different times because the guy who runs it is the only one running the uhaul & the gas station so he couldn't leave, except while i was parking it for the second time he locked the gas station and walked across the street to pick up food from a restaurant. he also only had me take a picture of the speedometer & gas tank. this was one of the worst run businesses i have ever seen and when i got impatient (albeit still kind) he told me to chill. i was angry.Isaiah W.

Terrible experience in general with picking up the uhaul - originally we were supposed to pick up via mobile app at a different location and had to extend the time a bit but no one on the phone at uhaul told us that we couldn't pick up the uhaul via app after a certain time. We were then redirected to the Harrisburg location after we reached the original pick up site, and that was also a disaster. The system was apparently slow/down and it took a long time before we found someone to talk to on the phone that told us we'd have to rent the uhaul on our phone since they couldn't access reservations on their system there.Krisha M.
I rented from the Harrisburg corner store. The first truck we tried to rent had a flat tire, took over an hour to change trucks. Everything was fine on that truck. Returned the truck with a completely full tank and yet this place charged me 37.80 for ez fuel. Will complain on every single social media platform I and my friends have access to.William K.
Worst possible location to pick up a truck. A gas station with only one employee who had to handle people buying gas, smokes, beer, etc, as he was checking me out. Took forever. We had ordered and it was confirmed by the reservation system that I could pick up 24 furniture pads. Showed up to get the truck and they only had 11. So I had to pack my stuff without proper padding. Some stuff ended up scratched because I did have enough padding. The place I selected thru your reservation system to pick up the truck was a U-Haul store that would have had everything I needed to take the stress out of moving and the parking lot would have been paved. Unbelievable that you sent me to this location. Absolute the worst possible place to pick up a truck and they had no supplies. Why would you send anyone to a location like that? This place is terrifying. I was so scared to walk in. It was difficult to park, there were homeless people everywhere, and when I walked in there was a man screaming at the guy behind the counter. The equipment looked questionable. One front tire seemed larger than the other. The front cab was dirty with soda stains and a cologne bottle was in the glove compartment. A random snack cup was wedged between the front window and the dashboard. I left it as is and was somehow charged a 25 dollar cleaning fee. The rear cab was dirty too when picked up. I would not recommend this location. The cashier was kind and helpful. But the owner's faulty computer set us back 45 minutes from checking out as it rebooted on its own. Owner was not present to help. If referred to this location again, I would ask for another location to pick up a truck from. Period.Elizabeth L.

This location was honestly very scary and I was afraid to leave the vehicle here. The personnel running this location were very rude on the phone and difficult to communicate with and contact. First, I was not happy that I reserved the vehicle at a location down the street but ended up having to drive to this location. The system should not allow reservations at locations that do not have the requested equipment. When I called the Uhaul phone number, the customer service rep was immediately sassy and unhelpful. The Harrisburg location that I was redirected to was a rundown gas station. The person "helping" could barely handle checking out customers much less getting me the Uhaul. She completely forgot that I was outside in the cold when she was supposed to be getting the keys to move another vehicle that was blocking me from getting out. The parking lot where the truck was kept was littered with bottles and trash. I did not feel safe while i waited. It took over 30 minutes for me to get the vehicle. When the GPS stated 'you are at your destination', we had no clue. The place was dark and the signage was poor. There were no other U-Haul it trucks. We were uncomfortable and the area appeared dangerous. Just happy to get back into our cars and get out of there. Sorry, maybe during the day it would have been ok. The locator used by Haul said this location was close to where we were, but it was about 10 miles (and 45 minutes in Houston traffic) away. The drop-off location was in a very run-down part of town and I did not feel very safe. Thankfully it was daylight when I visited.John C.

Took over 2 hours to get a truck. My reserved truck was there but told it was being held for someone else. Told the system wasn't letting them give me truck.person there not a good grasp of English. Employee couldn't find the truck keys. Told me there was no after hr drop box and there was. Had to call the reservation office .Devin was a miracle worker. She had to do everything from her location because the guy was clueless. Had a homeless man sleeping in back of truck I finally got. Returned truck around 9:30 sat night. Truck was not checked in and is still not checked in at 6:30 pm. Sunday. Milage out was 38264.0 mileage at return 38287.6. Devin deserved a reward for helping to deal with this location. It was extremely frustrating. Please credit my charge acct and send me a receipt to my email. I will never deal with that location .would give it a lower than poor rating if that was an option. Was not given a correct copy at turn in with correct mileage. Had to go back at 630pm Sunday and take picture of the mileage. Didn't trust them to report mileage correctly when they finally decide to process the return. Devin ended up giving me a larger truck for the price of the truck I originally reserved. We only had the truck less than 3 hours. Is there any other credits I can receive for the extremely bad service at this location. The man yesterday didn't even want us to return the truck to their location but somewhere else. He kept making us wait while he waited on his gas station and convenience store customers. U haul and their rental customers are not a priority at this location. We were treated like we were a bother. I don't think I will use UHaul again. Each time I have booked, I book at a location convenient and safe. But then UHaul sends me off to some other location neither convenient nor safe. Each time I end up in a neighborhood I would never otherwise venture into. Each time the locations were very disorganized as they waited on customers that were there for their primary business, UHaul just being a side business for them. No more. I'm out. This was the worst u-haul location I've ever been to. The staff seemed unfamiliar with the u-haul process. After a significant delay, the trailer initially provided was dirty and malfunctioning. I would absolutely never use this location again.Matthew J.
There were no proper storage boxes for transferring items. The phone conversation with the attendant of the convenience store was substandard. It did slightly mprove upon our arrival. The overall experience with this UHaul move was poor. I had originally reserved the truck on Louisiana St. If I hadn't called I would not have known I had to pick up the truck in the Harrisburg Blvd location due to the original place did not have a truck. Upon my destination I called the UHaul, also a 3rd party dealer. He told me I could not bring it to him because he had no room. If I hadn't called that would have placed more miles on the truck costing more for extra mileage. Long story short, UHAUL use to be a pretty good customer service company. It's too bad it does not screen the third party UHAUL dealers. Their poor customer service is giving UHAUL a poor reputation.Barbara M.
Once my contract was switched to this location, it said the contract started at 8, so I arrived at the store at 8 and it wasn't open. I called the number to confirm and the owner said they opened at 9:00. I returned at 9:00 and the store was still closed. I called again at 9:10 and the owner said he was 20 minutes away. At 9:40 I called again and the owner said he was 10 minutes away. The owner showed up at 9:50 to open the store and start the paperwork. The owner did not print me a receipt at the time of departure. Then, when I returned, he did not fill out the return paperwork and I got a call from UHaul the next day asking when I was going to return the truck that I had returned within the 6 hours the previous day. Uhaul reimbursed most of my charges due to the egregiously poor quality of the location.Logan F.
The individual helping me was not very polite, ignored me for a while before helping me, and seemed to be speaking rudely about me to his friend. He did not help me identify the correct trailer or hook it up, and the trailer was in less than ideal condition, with frayed and damaged wires for the lights (it did function, but I was very surprised that it did). The representative was very rude and argued with me about the amount of gas that I returned the vehicle with. He did not want to climb up in the truck and check the gauge. I asked to please climb up in the truck so he could see the gauge and he then tried to give me the keys back and told me he did not have time for me. I once again apologized for the â€œ inconvenience â€œ and asked if he would just please take the truck back. He agreed. He then made me in load the trailer from the truck and roll it by hand into a reserved spot. He also made me Park the truck myself. Terrible Customer service. I was told I could return the vehicle to any uhaul location by the staff in NM. Upon arriving to Houston I tried to return the truck and tow dolly to the 2300 Bay Area Blvd. Friendswood TX. 77546 location where I was spoken to like a dog and told I could not return the equipment there. This location was also locked upon arrival. I dropped the keys and contracts into the drop slot and was quickly met at the side door by the employee who was there but had the door locked and had keys and contract shoved back into my hands. This employee was belligerent and got two inches from my face screaming at me that I could not drop the equipment off there. I tried to explain I was told I could leave it at any location of my choosing but could not get a word in and had to scream over her to tell her I was leaving. I scheduled my truck within .5 miles of my apt. It was moved to 30 minutes away at 7pm the night before. By the time i saw the email the traffic office was already closed! This is NOT good service. Some forecasting on truck availability would be help your customer service tremendously. I have had much better uhaul service in the other cities i have lived in. Houston needs improvements.robert R.
The truck was due at 10:00am Monday. I called the employee/owner on Sunday at 1pm and asked if I would get charged if I returned the truck at 5:30pm Monday because I worked from 7 until 4 and it rained a lot on Sunday. He said that it was fine. When I returned the truck he said I owed him money. I explained to him that I spoke with him the day before, but he didn't care. On another note there are people that hang outside the gas station and drink beer and make lewd comments to women walking by. The place is filthy. It opens and closes as it pleases. It's a very sketchy place. I will never do business with this place again. I have no problem with Uhual, just this specific location, the 3700 block of Harrisburg in Houston, TX.Michael B.
