The overall fees are quite high- this rental ended costing me a lot more than I anticipated. The initial rental fee is great, but the cost per kilometer is what brings the costs so high!

Lauren C.They did not do the vehicle inspection with me and told me to take a picture of the mileage and gas level before I went. The truck sounded aweful like it was ready to fall apart. I put let than 30 kms on the truck and they tried to tell me I put 66kms and charged me. I spent 30 minutes in there arguing with them about the wrong mileage. I had pictures before and after showing I only did 26kms and only put in 20$ worth of gas. That was a terrible experience and their customer service at the gas station spent so much time arguing with me. Very poorly run for a gas station and uhaul combination. I do not recommend.
Jennifer C.The vehicle smelled awfully of smoke to the point it triggered my asthma. Advertising $19.95 per day is ridiculous. We had a 10 ft van for 2 1/2 hours and went less than 40 miles.... Grand total $135.00. Ridiculous!

MARION L.First off the guy at this location began swearing at me right away the guy seemed that he did not want to be there he does not like his job he does not like the business all you did was give attitude and cuss. Very disappointed but using your home for over 20 years is the first really bad experience I've had and I would not refer you all to anybody not that location anyways and suggestion would be to take your truck out of that place because you're just gonna ruin the U have a name.

Sara D.I need to talk to the manager, because if I rent the truck for $29.99 and $16 for insurance, I ran 75 mile . It was full and I used a quarter tank. I filled up for $55. I paid $150 deposit and than I paid another $57 on top of everything. I believe I got charged extra money for no reason. I need an explanation for all the charges. This place need a new manager for sure I believe it's wrong to charge extra for no reason

FAITH A.The truck was snow covered and no snow brush in the vehicle, had to idle and defrost for over half an hour, wasting my time and gas. I also had to defrost and move a truck to get the truck I was using for the day. I was relieved that Uhaul had the truck I booked, at the location I booked with. I have booked with Uhaul, in the past and have only been successful 5o% of the time in getting a truck and at best the actual size truck I booked.
Terry W.Have had a problem getting my deposit back, paid debit they wouldn't give me cash back said it had to go on my credit card. When called to inquire why I hadn't received a credit after 5 days, I was told that it said it was paid in cash. Now I have to wait for a cheque in the mail. Not impressed about this
Chris F.When I picked up truck I was told to park my car in another lot even though there was more than enough room in his own lot. After I returned the truck a couple of hours later and having put only 37 Kms on it the manager insisted on seeing a gas receipt. The gas guage was still on full. I have never ever been asked to produce a gas receipt. While I will likely rent from haul again it certainly won't be at this location.

Glain Martial T.It took me 45 minutes to pick up the truck using the "mobile, quick way to do it" I had to wait on the phone with Uhaul for 15 mintues. Terrible pick up service.
David H.When I picked up the truck and drove it home, I was alerted by my iPhone of an Apple Airtag on the truck and my phone showed that it was tracking me from the uHaul location to my house. I was able to "play the sound" via my iPhone to detect it, and I heard the sound, but could not find it. Around 10pm, a car stopped in front of my house, but they drove off within 15 seconds -- I was still outside, loading the truck, so it's possible they saw me and took off, or it was just some random car. As a precaution, I paddle-locked the cargo bay door and parked my car in front of the truck overnight to ensure no one drove off with the truck. The next day, the Airtag wasn't detected. A bit odd. When I returned the truck and told rep about the Airtag, he didn't understand what it was, or why it was a concern.

Rachelle M.The engine light was on the whole time. It's a pretty expensive mileage charge when I have to also pay my own gas. The gentleman at pickup never got off the phone while dealing with me. Had me go find the truck myself and bring it out front. No charges explained; only asked if I wanted insurance.

BRIAN S.I do rented a uhaul here in Welland Ontario Canada / the owner told before to go that it was per kms $60 cents i do rented by the day 10.00 am and brought back 7.00 pm we drove 170 miles and he charged me at all $279 .00 dollar ans he said that the kms it was .89 and by the mile 1.43 / this post is because i think is to expensive and why he xhange the prices after when we get rented its not thw firts time and the last one but in one day pays $316.45 is something unreal like rip it off my money/ Uhaul we asking for investigation about please u have my name and isn't money problem but something not good here he never comes with me to showing the van either earlier or afternoon PRETTY WORSE SERVICE ALSO !
EDUARDO S.When picking up the 15 ft truck the guy kept taking other people through checking me in. Then when I dropped it back off. I added gas they put it was lower than it actually was and I took a picture and showed them. She also couldn't close the drop off properly so told me To leave and I'll get an email receipt. However was kind of uncomfortable dropping it off at 245 ish pm. Was booked until 5 and they told me To hurry as the next person was already there…? Would not go back here to rent.
Victoria L.Made a reservation through the U-Haul website (received confirmation of my reservation) and the truck I reserved wasn't there when I went to pick it up. This is the second time this has happened at this location. I will be going to a different location for my next moving needs.

BOZHIDAR D.Change your name on your billing. My Visa was declined because the name came up Welland Race Track. I had a long drive with two of your trucks and the rental and fuel had to be paid in cash. Something I was not planning on. Had your bill said Hasty Market, Pioneer or Uhaul I would have recognized the amount. Now I will not have a Visa Card for 10 days. You need to change your name for credit card charges.

Uhaul made my moving day a complete nightmare when they decided to move my time from 8:30 am (which I booked over a month in advance) to 3:00pm, I get you can change the time but by 7 hours! Who starts their move at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. What's the point of a reservation if your just gonna completely change if on the customer. The customer service reps didn't seem to care one bit. And consider I heard horror stories from a few friends about Uhaul I'm sure the rep. Didn't care because she probably deals with pissed off customers all day

Upon opening the bags some were very damp as if someone else had used them and were not dry. The truck cab was clean as could be expected,as for the back the previous renter did not sweep it out,as there was some flowers on the floor. I took it upon myself prior to returning it, to make sure that it was clean.

Or he kept the paperwork from the Hamilton location. Not sure as the receipt was unclear or something was missed in email communication.

I asked him to charge me the Uhaul rates and he was very upset and mad and said ok I will charge whatever I want (meaning he was going to over charge to punish me for not buying gas from him) the location has a gas station and I think they pressure Uhaul customers to buy gas from them to profit from gas without offering Uhaul fill up rates. At the end of the conversation the Uhaul operator told me to go home because I am a stupid man
