MICHAEL MThe attendant was super rude, he wouldn't explain properly to me ended up wasting over an hour of my time unnecessarily because of his poor lack of communication. I ended up spending more than I'd have if only he had explained the deal properly. Overall, this is a horrible bad experience for me, but given it’s my first time using U-Haul, I'd try one more time, this timeat another location, hopefully I get better service this time.

ANDREW KThe truck had no rear working lights, so I had to drive with Hazzards on until the sun came up. The tire warning light was continually on. The window level (driver side) was defective. I was told to ignore the warning, that things were fine. I had no option but to use the truck given, since I was not aware of the light issue until early Good Friday morning.

PRAVEEN KI had to move the trucks in order to Get mine, they refused to Check the truck at returned, they got mad at me because I asked if they can inspect the truck since I was returning the vehicle.

DEVON MNothing I hate going to a business and talking about the weather and making small talk and this guy there was straight business. if I could have tipped based on the least amount or words spoken I would rate it 12 out of 10 unsarcasdticly!! For real!this will be my number one recommendation for U-Haul.

Daniel PPulled in, fueled up the truck which was convenient and then clerk asked us to take photo of milage and gas gage and back the truck into a set area. We complied. He thanked us, took the keys and the return process was quick and easy in and out for the retun in 3-4 minutes.
Douglas MThe store clerk when questioned regarding payment processed to credit card on file without consent or offering alternative payment options was delt with poorly. When we initially booked the van we advised the other store clerk our payment method was going to be cash. This miscommunication caused another party undue hardship and frankly due to the lack of professionalism or care to provide exceptional customer service returning the rented van on time. Clean. Gas refilled. No additional damage. I feel although minor in perspective, was a unpleasant transaction. I took the time to address the credit card being charged and his response was "it's charged automatically" with a nonchalant, too bad for you attitude. In short. I was told I could pay cash/debit conditionally if the rental was returned on time before 9pm Friday. My fee quote was Accutane within 10-15 dollars which I was satisfied with not exceeding the initial quote. It was about the transaction and this clerks attitude and how he felt with my addressing the payment method and not doing anything to provide a satisfactory or preferred service meeting the customers required needs. Just a heads up

Daniel PI got invoice in my email saying final charges would be 119.45$ , but they have charged me $150.23 . I do not know what to do now.

TIM MWas booked at King Street location. I booked in advance and also called the day before to confirm. On my way to pick up truck, I received a call saying there was no truck for me. It was not returned by previous customer. I had 5 people waiting to help me move. After an hour, a smaller truck was located on Niagara Street. Customer service at Niagara Street location was below average. Very abrupt, not informative. Handed me the keys with no instructions. I had to ask where the truck was then I didn't know which one it was until I asked how to identify it. Truck was full of snow and ice. Broken windshield. Upon return, I was asked to take a picture of display showing mileage and fuel gauge, then another employee went out to verify if it was correct. They attempted to overcharge me for mileage. Not friendly or able to communicate clearly. Not a good experience and would not recommend.

Daniel PI have used U-Haul a few times but this time I have an awful experience. I rented from one place and they sent me to another place to get my truck. On top of that they didn’t supply a trolley even though I paid for one…I would not recommend them
DOUGLAS BThe truck did not have a ramp and it made the job difficult and frustrating . I called to confirm that they had a truck with a ramp not a pickup truck or cargo van because we were moving a fridge and it needed to stay upright so the person we dealt with knew and confirmed he had a truck. This was also evident since we rented an appliance dolly.
Dennis GMake sure your rental is properly checked back in, wait for the reciept before you go showing it was returned. Extremely rude and dismissive when I returned the truck, which was not properly checked back in, the reciept I was emailed did not show it, though did not realize it until he called 2 days later demanding to know when I would return the truck. It took a couple days to straighten out after I contacted head office customer support (who were great). Just a lot of extra headaches no one needs when they are moving. I understand mistakes happen, but its the reoccurring hostile customer service that is the issue.

Amber GWorst location to rent from, do not rent from this location. Very rude, had to park elsewhere or wouldn’t rent van, person actually took the keys back before I agreed to park elsewhere. Tire pressure low and rear end made noise. Rented blankets dumped on sidewalk. If I had more time I would have just walked away and rented from Home Depot.

reggie mLet me tell you, the main store where I picked the truck up was terrible. The guy over charred me and was rude.. I had no choice but to pay his new price or I was not able to move.. this is sad.. The guy from Port colborne was great. Easy to talk with and friendly
David MThe location is inside a hasty market convenience store, gas station, and car wash. It's very difficult to locate, and when I called, the man on the phone gave directions that were not to the correct location! The store attendant was busy receiving supplies and selling gas and cigarettes and I waited 30 minutes to be checked out. He did not go through the contract, nor did he do a walk around of the vehicle. He offered to sell me insurance and rather than explain what was covered he simply said "everything." The whole situation would have been comical if I wasn't dealing with a serious crisis.
IAN CA busy location with only 2 staff so a lot of confusion at pick up. Gave DL and CC when I reserved and had to do it all over again when I picked it up. Otherwise good. Go at a quieter time.
Michelle KThere was no paperwork given at check-in or check-out, & no mutual verification of starting odometer mileage. I believe I was charged double the actual mileage, but I didn't record the starting odometer reading...I just trusted that the starting mileage was recorded correctly & trip mileage calculated without error. I had no recourse but to pay the overcharge. Next time I use U-Haul, I will make sure I physically verify starting mileage on the odometer, agreed with the vendor, before I leave.
Angelo DIt would be helpful if they showed you which truck to take and also for them to say before had we need to take a pic of the gas and KM. No one told us until after we were back in the store
Tyler-Vaughn BActually I reserved the pickup truck and ended up having to take the 10 foot box truck because I didn't have a credit card nor did I have someone close by with a credit card, they working was quite rude to me about this. I was using a debit card which they do a security deposit anyway for kilometers. Overall I will not be returning to this location

Daniel PIssue: I am technology-challenged. Would have preferred paper printouts. I find it cumbersome for orders, confirmations, invoices to be on cell phone. Requested email of information which I have not yet checked having just returned home.
martha dFirst they screwed up the day and time, then when I go to return the gas level is a problem even though I had a picture of the gas level beforehand, then they tried to charge me for the insurance that I declined, and then they tried to only refund me $16 when 35.85 was owed to me, and even then they only refunded me 33 and change. What an absolute shit show. Will never go to this location ever again!!!!

Richard WThere was too little Staff when I was Checking In. I stood quite a while. The Check IN went fairly smoothly. Equipment was great. Return Check In went way faster, because 3 were on Staff. I would love to have One Staff that accompanies you Out and ensures I know about the Rules and Procedure. Then looks at van to ensure no Damages. Otherwise, I enjoyed the Services. Thanks!
