The person at the drop off location repeatedly refused to take the out of town trailer. He lied to me about not speaking on the phone to confirm their location, and then admitted that I had confirmed they were open for drop off. He only let me leave after I called U-Haul and while I was on hold. He did not help at all when I left the trailer.

Charged 150 for full fee and said I would get refunded the difference. Instead, I was charged 87 when I got back ( I thought he was refunding) the payment went through and then I was told he was now refunding the 150. Afterwards he let me know it can take up to 2 weeks to come back!!!!!!!! Why not just refund the difference and not leave me 230 down and waiting for a refund. Now I can't eat this week. Screw this

Very unprofessional. I took pictures before and after fuelling, exact amount of fuel was in the truck when I brought it back. Clerk was very unprofessional and very loud.

Good personalized service. I rent from them at least twice a year - never consider going to a different U-Haul. He does get very busy so there can be a wait. But never too long.

The trailer was in a sad shape. The wiring wasn't working since one control wire simply rusted through, so the left turn signal and stop light weren't working at all. The clerk upfront replaced the wiring on the spot, though, so thank you for that. The sliding door was very loud when opening and closing. The coupler was loose and would just slide around the hitch ball on every road bump. The tightening nut didn't fix the issue, although it was tightened completely.

The owner/operator is beyond rude and condescending. Calling him unprofessional would be disrespectful to unprofessional people. Truly horrified and annoyed that this person can represent U-Haul.

Booked a motorcycle trailer for 2 days, arrived to pick it up the light did not work. Employee told me to take non motorcycle trailer and that he would owner the original rate. Dropped the trailer off and they charged me the higher rate. After several minutes of explanation and arguing he refunded the difference. The building is run down, dirty and unkept, I’m amazed the health dept hasn’t shut them down.

I’ve rented a U-Haul truck from this location twice, and both times were absolutely terrible experiences. While the truck itself was fine, the owner of this location was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. I rented blankets to protect my furniture, but what I received were filthy, mud-covered rags thrown carelessly into a dirty bin. They reeked of a strange odor and were in no condition to be used. When I requested properly packaged blankets like I’ve received from other locations, the owner dismissed my concern and told me to “just shake them off and use them.” He even refused to issue a refund when I asked for one. The only reason I used this location was because it’s close to my home — but I will never come back. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — not to friends, not to family, not to anyone. This was more than just bad service; it was infuriating.

Unit was not clean. Mud in the cab of the truck. Lots of dirt on the floor in the back which transferred to my furniture. Refueling instructions were vague. The fellow who was there when I picked up the truck in the morning said to return it with "about" half a tank. Receiving attendant (very unpleasant) said it must be over half. Just fill the thing from the start and ask for it to be returned full, fellas! These guys aren't doing any favors for the UHaul experience. I won't be back.

Vehicle was not in a good condition, until we go and inform brake sensors are giving malfunction signal, agent didn’t mention that there are sensors issue, breaks and vehicle condition are very bad.

I'd definitely watch the charges at this location, seems like if you don't catch them, they won't fix it. Also wanting to charge for the back of the truck not being mopped? Give me a break, the back of the truck was filthy when we got it.

My worst U-Haul experience in over 40 years. The vehicle was covered in snow. The owner did not even pull the truck out, brush the snow off, do a walk around or check the cabin/back with me. There was no windsheild washer fluid and the roads were messy from snow. I had to throw snow on the windsheild to clean it/see. Instead of re-fueling to the point of pick up, the owner insisted that I use a formula of kilometers traveled, which left it with more gas than I started with. The store was messy and unclean. This location needs some serious attention.

First trailer I had, no lights were working so they sent me to this location, where I found this trailer with a completely bald tire. I told them I am not leaving like this as the tire will blow, they told me yes that is okay, you have insurance and roadside will come change it. Why would I set myself up for failure? When I finally got them to change it, they put the wrong rim and tire on, causing it to drag. When I got to my final destination the tire was completely bald again. Do not recommend this location.

We had to lift the trailer onto our truck by ourselves, which was an extreme shock. A jack would be expected but we were told to "use muscle" without any assistance. The trailers are not light, and as individuals with back issues, this was not appreciated nor expected. If this is the typical case, there should be a warning while booking. The trailer was also not clean on the inside and had debris inside. Would have taken a 1 minute vacuum or sweep to fix ahead of rental.

When we dropped off the truck they did not understand the mechanical issue we were describing and that it was not safe to drive! They didn’t come out and inspect the vehicle and we had to park it ourselves.

Trailers don't have jacks on them so they are difficult to lift onto the towing vehicle. Also, providing a bunch of pdf's with instructions for installing on the tow vehicle isn't effective. The Uhaul people should be doing a demo instead.

This location was the exact opposite of out pick up location in montana , in which i rated a 5 star. No only is location unorganized and unappealing (place looks like a dump) but the owner was not at all friendly or helpful when we dropped off. Was a convenient location for us to drop off but if i ever have to pick up at a location in calgary I will certainly drive the extra mile and go Some where else.

Asked for an all in price, was told 79.99 then got their and was told 99.99 because insurance. Had no help loading, the trailer was blocked in and I had to move stuff to get to it in -20, if it was an older person they wouldn’t have been able to do it. On top of that all trailers come with a 4 pin when the standard for vehicles is 7 pin, was then forced to buy an OVERPRICED adapter as they wouldn’t let me rent one.

Worst location of all, they make you hook up trailer and “bring to them for inspection”. You pull to their office and they just sit inside until you come and ask them to go out and take pictures. On return not only you have to drop it yourself, but they have audacity to tell you to take the pictures and bring them in so they can check your return. Unbelievable lazy, will never come within a mile to them.

There were two guys, one a bit blind, saying that I could not drop off the trailer there before seeing the U-Haul papers and that nobody drops off one-way trailer. So he called the 2nd one, who looked at the app and said that it was ok to drop-off.

How is it that you people quote so low, but the bill is way higher? $114.00 for a 6 hour 20’ truck rental, and I drive the truck 25 kms. Then needing to gas it back up! You people are rip-off artists!

- Make sure the truck is clean inside. Mine had dry dog food kibble on the passenger floor mat. - Sweep off the snow/scrape windows. I arrived to a snow covered truck covered in frost.Starting the vehicle & preparing it for pick up on a -15C morning would have taken 5 minutes & made the experience much better.

My comments are about online booking. I was not made aware of the in-town versus one way booking and hence paid an extra fee even though I my move was in town. I thought that it was obvious that my move was in town because both postal codes were from the same city. I thought that the offer of a different drop-off destination was a customer service convenience option, so I chose it. No where and no one made me aware of these 2 options except at the drop off site.

-overall, I was very pleased with the trailer and the service. Every thing worked as I expected it to. Trailer pick-up and drop off was easy. -In winter, the trailer tongue freezes to the ground. If it were propped up on a block of wood, this could be prevented. -I had a choice between two identical trailers. I chose the one I did because the other was covered in a foot of snow. This wouldn't have stopped me if it had been the only trailer, but the customer shouldn't have to clear off the snow when they pick up the trailer. -the inside of the trailer I took was very clean, although there was a little of bit of snow in the floor (which was easy to sweep out) -the trailer tire pressure upon receipt was 45 psi. The U-Haul sticker by the wheels said the tire pressure should be at the maximum pressure stated on the tire sidewall which was 65 psi. I was a little uncertain whether to assume that the U-Haul dealer knew what they were doing and had checked and set the tire pressure properly, or add air to follow the U-Haul sticker. My load was only about 200 lb, well below the tire's load capacity. In the end I increased tire pressure to 50 psi. I know I could have called the dealer to confirm what pressure to use, but didn't because it was 6am in the morning when I checked pressure and I was leaving soon and the dealership wasn't open yet.

I will be in touch with head office tomorrow Dec 2 in regards to the horrible customer service I received, verbal abuse, false charges on my bill. We are seniors and were taken advantage of and treated with disrespect. I was overcharged almost $200 with out my approval. If this matter isn’t taken care of there is going to be a lot of reporting to different people about the employees uhaul decides to associate themselves with. As well as talking to people about unapproved charges going onto my credit card.
