The actual storefront was a mess, and the employees were not wearing masks or enforcing masks on anyone else who came inside. The actual truck was in need of a clean, thick layers of dirt, dust, and sticky cup-holders in the front. The steering wheel was crooked, and the check engine light was on the whole time. When I asked, they brushed it off and stated "It was getting maintenance soon." There was no alternative truck, so it was either I dealt with it or canceled my rental. There was a serious lack of communication regarding return time on the vehicle and on the location it should be returned. I was constantly getting conflicting messages from employees. When I inquired about where I could return the Truck, I was told a location closer to my move would be allowed. I was even given the phone number of the closer location. When I called, I was told I had to return it to where I picked it up. I understand now that's policy for in-city rentals, but I shouldn't have been told otherwise as it just sparked confusion. I would avoid if you can, go out of your way to a different location if possible.

Put a warning on the website that if you logon to update personal information like U-Haul suggests you will lose your reservation!!! This is sooo not cool at all!!! It happened to me!! Then they told me my next truck reservation for Hawkstone location that I made couldn't be held... but they did end up honouring it in the end. Love the guy at Hawkstone and the 2 representatives that helped me secure my Hawkstone U-Haul rental!! Thank you!!

No help, trailer covered in snow. Sign on till warns u-haul customers are second in priority, “gas and store customers come first.” This location is close to home but that is the only thing going for it.

the man behind the counter was very rude and impolite! I was in the store and was talking with that Indian reception and a lady came in to drop the rental U-Haul key. He left me and did her task and receive the key and did the paperwork for her and after 5 minutes he went back to me. I told him politely I was here first but you left me. He said we don't want to do argument and if you are not ok, you can go out of the store and find another U-Haul store!!! such a rude and impolite guy and I never recommend this place to anybody. I will put a review on google for public view.

As stated when I picked up the truck, the inside of the driver's cab was very dirty and by the looks of it had not been cleaned through several rentals prior. Luckily I had brought sanitizer wipes to wipe down the surfacesI needed to touch prior driving off. Definitely not the level of cleanliness required in these COVID 19 times

I never had a bad experience like this at any rental companies. They promised to rent me a pickup truck but when I showed up this morning, they could not make it. No pickup truck at all. I thought this is ok. I took a picture of mileage and fuel gauges. Feul gauge is right in the middle. When I bought back truck (smallest truck) they told me to fill up gas. I do not know how much i need to fill. they calculate and said that I need to fill 37 dollars gas. I trusted them and and I fill $37.22. also I took a picture showing i filled the gas way more than I had before driving out this morning. I showed the original picture saying I filled too much. He seams unconfortable and saying deduct $10. I was a bit mad and thought what type of truck you drive burned 27 liter in 100kms? Do I drive millitary tank? Bad management!!!!

When I got the truck it was half full the gas. After finishing my work, I filled it to half and brought back the truck. The cashier asked me if I filled it and I said yes, and showed him a photo of the gas gauge before and after the rent. Then he asked me how much I filled, and then he did some calculations and said that I filled less than what I should, as per calculation by gas consumption and my mileage. I argued with him, but since I was in hurry, accepted the charges and paid for extra fuel. This is not an acceptable doing business. Please instruct them to respect what the customer showing as a proof and do not charge additional.

Poor customer service, while pickup didn't assist In installing nor did any safety inspection. Person on the phone have poor communication skills and was very difficult to understand. While returning similar experience no help at all as the representative was busy eating icecream and giving sign language. I had difficulty understanding him and so I end up in wrong spot. Then he ask me to push the trailer 30ft back manually. Was little upset because he didn't tell me the first time and waited for me to unhook everything then he said I need to push myself all the way back which was totally unnecessary since my truck could do that.

My original location for rental pickup was not able to provide me the rental as booked, so uhaul was able to coordinate and find me a similar vehicle for same day and time with less than 30 minutes notice. Appreciated the effort they put in.

The clerk did not recorded the actual gas nidle position although I have mentioned this to him. He was quite ignoring my comment at mentioning it is correct. At the end of the service when I have re-fueld the truck he has forgotten to add the ($7.42) cost of the gas to my bill. After, I left and almost 2 hours left he called me asking me to go back to pay the the gas bill. This is fine but what I have found aggressive is the way I was told that if this is not paid it will affect my future rental position. This was not at all a customer centric approach.

The manager told me even though my rental was booked and confirmed for 8 hours I had to have the truck back in 2.5 hours and I was not allowed to do an after hours drop off. He had no reason for this except he closed at 9pm. Said he didn't do after hour returns. After waisting time arguing, I rented the truck anyhow as I had commitments. I rushed and rushed to get the job done in 2.5 hours but it took 3.5 hours and my job was not complete properly because I had to rush. I returned the truck after hours like I have numerous times before and there was another gentelman also doing the same and there was even a key drop box for after hour returns. But, it could not fit the truck key fob!! So I will have to return again early in the morning to return the key across town!! This is ridiculous and awful service. I paid for 8 hours and got 3 rushed ones and have to return in the morning because they are unorganized and dishonest.

This was the 2nd time we rent from U-Haul. But the check-in experience lower than last time. I was asked to fill gas after I checkout online (charge per mileage) and was told if I didn't fill gas tank full, the system would charge me additional $100 for filling the tank. Anyway, I filled the tank and left with confusion.

I was not very happy about how my interaction at Blackfoot U-Haul was when I arrived for my rental. I was told I was called about my order to inform me about my request however, I never talked to anyone and when I called back I was on hold for fifteen minutes. I was already at the store and I was still on hold. When I was in the store I was told numerous times there was nothing that could be done, even though there were trucks in the parking lot. I understand you have a process but customer service is very important and since I have to be the one to suggest to one of your employees to check elsewhere. The inconvenience of the drive considering where we were moving to in relation to the pick-up location was across the city and the time we had moving was severely extended. Hawkstone was easy to deal with but just overall, unpleased.

Difficult to say. The location is also a gas station and mini-market type so lots of people and phone calls. The person at the cashier is quite busy. However, a great kudos. I had forgotten a lock key. I called and the person went right away to check, found it, and kept it for me for the next day. Much appreciated!

The air conditioning in the truck wasn't working on a very hot day. It eiukd help to have an online tutorial on how to work the truck. Lack of power steering made made driving harder.

I rented a trailer, hooked it up to my tow vehicle, tested signal and brake lights and nothing worked. Fortunately there was another similar trailer at that Site. I hooked that trailer up nex and tested the signal and brake lights and they were all working. Wasted about a half hour but did get a functional trailer i the end.

I was threaten to be put on the blacklist as i refused to pay a $20.00 late return fee; maybe I was put on the list already. First of all, I was not told there would be a late return fee when i picked up the truck. Second, I rent the truck for a few hours and the rental was based on the mileage, not on hours. Finally, the return time was just an estimate, and I was just one hour late than the estimated time. I felt very bad with the staff's attitude to a customer :( The truck was not clean, and there was a cake box (with cake leftover) left in the passage seat from the previous customers. There was warning sign (oil change required) on the panel.

The U-Haul service representative was very helpful and courteous but for some reason the keys to the vehicle we had requested couldn't be found. No problem. We were given a larger vehicle for the same price. The problem was this vehicle had not been prepped between customers and needed a little clean up. The vehicle worked fine and we got our goods moved with no problems. Thank you U-Haul

Dashboard was dirty with streaks of beverage strains on it, Cabin smelled smoking on my complaining a smell hanging tag was placed in the cabin Air conditioner not working I was told by Rep Mohammed that he will adjust charges when I return the truck but no consideration was done about it.

Front left tire has visible bulges in-between treads and lost 30-40 PSI per day of travel. Rear right tire had obvious valve leak which lost 15-20 PSI per day of travel. Surge brake fluid reservoir was noticeably leaking around cap, increased fluid leaked daily. It appears the trailer was not inspected prior to renting it to myself. The inside of trailer was clean and in great condition but two of the tires and the automatic braking system were in rough condition.

This experience was absolutely horrible and I will not be returning here ever and will recommend to my friends and family to avoid this location. I've used uHaul in the past and it was smooth but I haven't had such awful service in a very long time. My suggestions: don't hassle your clients, unilaterally alter the terms of a contract, and don't double book your trucks. I booked a 6 hour truck rental for 4pm two days ahead of time. I received a call day-of asking me if I could return the truck by 9pm and was asked to come in early because he had another customer for 9. I explained that the only help I had couldn't start until 5 which is why I needed the truck for 4pm but explained that I would try to return it by 9. When I arrived at the location I was again asked to move up my return time to 8:30. I again explained that 8:30 might not be possible but I would try my best. Shortly after I received a text message that my booking was unilaterally changed so my return time was 8:30. I received a call at 7:45 (he claimed I had pocket dialed him and he was returning my call but that was not true) and he reminded me that I said I would have the truck back by 8:30 and that I shouldn't "disappoint him." I very barely managed to get the truck back by 8:40 after calling in favours and leaving my furniture on the front lawn even though it was threatening to rain (and did rain within half an hour of returning to my lawn). When I explained my experience to one of my good friends he said, "The location by Hawkwood Husky? Yep that location sucks."

Better customer service. I was treated as a second rate customer compared to other customers in the store. I had to wait for quite a while to get service despite being in line well before other people had already entered the store. While the trailer was mostly clean, it there were a couple of tissues in it and it did need a quick sweep out.

I reserved a truck for Sunday, July 26, at 7:30 about two weeks ago. I was told that the Uhaul would call me a day before the reservation for arrangement. However, nobody called me on Saturday. I called them in the afternoon, and they told me we are busy and will call you later. When they called, they told me you would receive a code right before your reservation time since our office is closed until 9 am. I had arranged everything with the building manager and two of my friends who were supposed to help me with moving. However, unfortunately, I did not receive any code. I was there at 7:30 nobody was there, nobody answered. I called the Uhaul call center. They tried to fix the issue. After talking for more than one hour, they sent me to two other branches by more than 40 KM driving. Finally, they gave me a truck after 9 am in a branch far from my address. This inconsistency was unbelievable. All in all, I want to complain, and I need a convincing answer from the company. I paid more because of the distance. You waste more than 2 hours of my friends, and I time. Even the building manager called me several times to ask why I was not on time. And you ruined my whole plan. The most annoying part is that even nobody called me after Sunday to explain this inconsistency, while several times, I asked customer service to file a complaint.

The manager was very aggressive to the customer. I used the truck for 20 miles (32km) and filled 5 litres of unlead gas. But we asked me to pay around 9 CAD more at the store. Ok, I understood, but why he was so hostile?

When arrived to pick up a trailer customer service representative was rude he told to me go to connect trailer and come back for inspection which is not my responsibility, on the trailer was damage and he didn't reported on inspection aheet, when I ask him to mark damage down, he told to me don't you worry you have full insurance on this trailer, I told him back yes I have but you still didn't marked down damage, so I left like that because he was ignoring me Poor customer service

Trailer hitch was seized due to not being cleaned and lubricated. Tire was flat and had to fill it myself. Then had the tire blow out on the hiway and almost lost my cargo. This location was the worst to deal with. Told me incorrect info and was not helpful with the process at all.

The experience to book a trailer was horrible.I made so many calls and a few trips to the location to confirm my booking.The manger is very rude and over charged me over $93.3 pre driving on my credit card instead of $72.87 on the receipt after returning the trailer. I hope this experience would be better.
